Ch.16[Chapter 16] Oh My, What a Villain Villa!

At the moment Sir Dominic was kidnapped by Super Deluxe.

    “Hey, where is Super Deluxe!”

“There’s only 2 hours left until the end time, and no one has seen him? How is that possible?”

People who had been trying to enjoy the event began to sense something was wrong.

After searching the entire Gacha Land and exchanging information with each other, people deduced that Super Deluxe was nowhere to be found in Gacha Land.

Where on earth had Super Deluxe disappeared to?

Some anxious people had already rushed to Inspector Javert, another event character, to ask about Super Deluxe’s whereabouts.

“Inspector Javert! Where is Super Deluxe?”

“Why are you asking me, citizen?”

Inspector Javert was just as frustrated.

During his breaks, he had tried calling Super Deluxe dozens of times from places where people couldn’t see him, but what could he do if the calls weren’t answered?

“I put aside all my plans for the day to participate in this event, so of course I’m going to ask! At the very least, I shouldn’t suffer any losses whether I enjoy it or not!”

    “Ha. Fine. Wait a moment.”

Inspector Javert took out his smartphone as he watched people who were starting to lie down in protest.

If this continued any longer, complaints would surely come in.

That meant Inspector Javert’s pay would be reduced, and for the already underpaid Inspector Javert, this was more terrifying than natural disasters like earthquakes or tornadoes.

Inspector Javert bit his lower lip tightly as he sent text messages, chat messages, and DMs to Super Deluxe’s social media accounts.

Inspector Javert had done all he could. All that remained was to pray that Super Deluxe would see these messages.

“So this one is from three years ago, and this one is from two years ago. Look! The bangs are different by about 0.7 degrees! How can you not tell the difference?”

Sir Dominic’s mind was going numb from the words of this wicked villain, Super Deluxe.

Super Deluxe was holding up two photos that looked identical and demanding that Sir Dominic identify the differences.

However, there seemed to be almost no difference between the two photos, and although Sir Dominic pointed out barely distinguishable elements like tree branches or clouds, they didn’t seem to satisfy Super Deluxe.

“Fine. Maybe it’s because you have only one eye. Your ears are both working fine, so let’s try distinguishing voices.”

    Sir Dominic felt dizzy.

What else could possibly be left!

It might seem trivial to others, but for Sir Dominic, this was the greatest terror he had experienced since arriving at Gacha Land.

Having already been subjected to Super Deluxe’s merchandise, photos, and speech patterns over 300 times, Sir Dominic was on the verge of developing a neurosis.

Please, if there is a God, save me.

Sir Dominic prayed, seeking divine intervention he normally wouldn’t in this dire situation.

“So… the world’s cutest Super Deluxe volume 13 is… huh?”

Had his prayer truly reached God?

Sir Dominic saw Super Deluxe suddenly flinch and freeze.

It was an extremely brief moment, but Sir Dominic began to feel a glimmer of hope at Super Deluxe’s behavior, which was different from before.

    “Ah. Right. Oh my.”

Super Deluxe abandoned his ancient demon-like wickedness and began trembling like a small animal, like a hamster or chihuahua.

    “I was working, wasn’t I? My goodness. How could I, a professional…”

Super Deluxe began pacing around the room with quick steps, deep in thought.

The pitter-patter sound of his steps grew faster, reflecting his mental state.

“If I leave now, there’s 1 hour and 40 minutes left, that’s 100 minutes total, so to reach at least 10,000 people, I need about 100 people per minute. That’s 1.6 people per second.”

With his brilliant mind, Super Deluxe instantly calculated what he needed to do.

And he thought that with some effort, he could certainly manage it.

“You! Don’t move from here. I’ll definitely be back, so wait!”

Super Deluxe thought he was speaking threateningly with a growl, but he seemed to forget that with his three-head-height body and pitter-patter appearance, he wasn’t threatening at all.

However, the urgent Super Deluxe prioritized his work, quickly grabbing his wallet and phone before opening the door to leave.

Or rather, he tried to leave.

Having become shorter with his three-head-height body, he couldn’t reach the doorknob.

    “Oh, come on!”

Irritated, Super Deluxe took out a cardboard box from beside the shoe rack, hastily assembled it, and jumped up to turn the doorknob.

Finally, with a creaking sound, the door opened, and Super Deluxe disappeared without even thinking of closing it.

This would be his third warning if he messed up again, which could result in penalties at the next tier evaluation.

Sir Dominic could only stare blankly at the situation that had passed like a storm.

Who would have experienced something like this?

But Sir Dominic was a knight of reversal who had overcome numerous difficulties, and he adapted quickly to such bewildering situations.

“The door is open, so I can just leave, can’t I?”

    What astonishing insight!

Considering the pressure until now, he might have developed Stockholm syndrome and complied with Super Deluxe’s orders.

But Sir Dominic’s strong mental fortitude and wisdom, honed over many years, had produced a surprisingly good plan!

…Well, honestly, it’s hard to imagine feeling any pressure from cute three-head-height characters chirping around.

Anyway, Sir Dominic got up and walked toward the door.

Super Deluxe had been so engrossed in introducing himself that he hadn’t even thought to tie Sir Dominic up.

No, even if he had been tied up, considering the straight, chubby three-head-height body, he would have just slipped out with a slight movement.

With pitter-patter sounds, Sir Dominic walked to the door, picking up his equipment that Super Deluxe had put aside.

The door was still wide open.

Judging by the cardboard box, there was no wind, so the door wouldn’t suddenly close.

Sir Dominic peeked his head through the door and surveyed the surroundings.

He had briefly seen Super Deluxe flying, but the speed was so fast that the view was blurry.

After his reconnaissance, Sir Dominic vaguely saw stairs leading down through an open door in the corner of the rooftop.

The rooftop didn’t seem particularly dangerous, but just in case, Sir Dominic bravely moved forward with his shield and sword.

    Pop. Pop. Pop. Pop.

Though his footsteps didn’t sound brave at all.

Fortunately, there really was no danger on the rooftop.

“This looks like stairs leading down to a dungeon basement.”

Sir Dominic looked at the stairs going down.

With his normal height, they would have been ordinary stairs, but for Sir Dominic, whose height had been reduced by more than half and who now had a three-head-height body, each step was fatally high.

“I’ll need to free my hands to somehow get down.”

Sir Dominic lay down and stuck his head out through the gap to see how deep these stairs were.

The stairs seemed to be straight but spiral-shaped, like those in castle walls.

The space visible through the gap looked quite deep, but it was difficult to gauge the exact depth.

“Hmm. So I have to go down a place like this.”

Sir Dominic broke into a happy smile.

For him, danger was just another word for adventure, and adventure without insurance was something he enjoyed.

“I should strap the shield to my back first.”

Sir Dominic tried to attach a strap to the shield he had been holding in front to wear it on his back.

I say “tried” because his arms were now very short and chubby, barely reaching his cheeks, let alone his back or the top of his head.

No matter how much he stretched and struggled, the shield showed no signs of being mounted on his back.

How long he struggled is unknown, but it was long enough for the stopped wind to start blowing again.

Sir Dominic finally achieved this grand and difficult feat.

Yes, he succeeded in strapping the shield to his back.

While Sir Dominic was feeling proud of himself for this rather difficult experience, the gentle breeze suddenly grew stronger, and the door to the stairs began to close slowly.

And at the moment Sir Dominic let out a happy “hmm,” the door slammed shut with a bang!

Startled, Sir Dominic jumped on the spot.

Normally, this would have ended with just a startled jump, but his chubby three-head-height body was more elastic and soft than expected, causing him to bounce in an unexpected direction when he hit the ground.

    “I didn’t expect this.”

    Yes, toward the stairs.

    Thump, thump, boing, boing.

It was clearly a dangerous situation, but the sound effects were cute.

Sir Dominic was confused about how to react, as this situation wasn’t as painful as expected, had a certain speed to it, and came with cute boing-boing sound effects.

    Boing, thump, thump, roll.

While Sir Dominic was tumbling down the stairs, there were people below that he could never have anticipated.

    “Demon Lord! Amazing news!”

    “!”

The puffy-cheeked individual addressed as Demon Lord tilted his eyebrows as if angry.

He was sitting on a plastic throne and hurriedly picked up a remote to turn off the TV.

Then he leaned forward with a greatly surprised expression toward the person who had rushed in.

“Ah, um… no, I meant you should be surprised after hearing the news.”

    “…”

The Demon Lord, who was two-head-height among the three-head-height people, became dejected.

It seems this Demon Lord has quite the mood swings.
