    Ch.167167. Primitive-Theme Park

The installation of the warp gate wasn’t particularly difficult.

First, I created a temporary doorway using transition magic maintained by magical power. Then, to form semi-permanent gates at both the destination (uninhabited island) and departure point (estate), I used several foundational elements.

Seeds of crimson wisteria to serve as the gate’s framework. Enchanted stones that draw magical power from ley lines to maintain magical effects. And seeds of grass imbued with the properties of transition magic—these were the starting components.

[Rise, power of the earth. Pathway connecting grounds, you shall…]

Using these three materials as a foundation at both locations, I chanted spells and incantations to form the gate—a semi-permanent, bidirectional warp gate.

After confirming the ley line points flowing in the virtual space beneath the ground, I connected them together to complete the process.

With the creation of this spatial connection portal linked through ley lines easily completed, I was now ready to establish my primitive-jungle theme park in earnest. The first step, naturally, was to transform the island into an environment similar to the southern region of the New Continent.

However, the jungles of the New Continent’s southern region have abnormally high concentrations of magical power and mystical density in the atmosphere due to their special environment. Thanks to these conditions resembling a primitive environment, the internal ecosystem has preserved its ancient characteristics.

Therefore, to construct such an environment, I would need to gather and concentrate an enormous amount of magical power and mystical energy on the island…

‘Capacity-wise, no matter how I think about it, it doesn’t seem possible…’

The ley lines flowing beneath this island’s surface are absolutely insufficient. Even if I were prepared to deplete the ley lines by draining their magical power, I still couldn’t form such an environment.

This stems purely from the fact that the ley lines beneath the island aren’t of particularly good quality. Therefore, I needed to devise other means beyond simply drawing from the ley lines.

I found the answer in the ocean currents surrounding this uninhabited island.

Near the uninhabited island I purchased, there’s a special swirling current. This current isn’t purely formed by natural environmental factors but is rather a magical phenomenon caused by the island’s unique properties.

More precisely, it’s a force that ‘draws in’ surrounding elements toward the island.

For reasons unknown, the uninhabited island I purchased exhibits a mystical phenomenon that draws in surrounding materials. In fact, my own drifting to the island was quite possibly influenced by this mystical phenomenon.

Of course, this drawing power isn’t a physical force but exists in the realm of mysticism, so it doesn’t literally create gravitational pull centered on the uninhabited island.

To be honest, I don’t know the exact output level at which this force operates, nor can I be certain whether this force would remain intact after completely remodeling the island.

Therefore, upon arriving at the island, I first tried to analyze its mystical properties to find some way to utilize this phenomenon…

‘…Ah, so this is the cause?’

After a brief investigation, I concluded that the root cause of these phenomena was some ‘substance’ located at the center of the island.

The invisible force pulling and drawing things into the uninhabited island was being generated by some object existing at the island’s center.

Judging cautiously from the wavelengths I sensed, it’s highly likely to be a relic from ancient times. Furthermore, could the island itself have been formed by the attractive properties of that central object?

Anyway, now understanding the basis of the island’s special properties, I moved to the center of the uninhabited island…

    ‘Oh, is this it?’

I was able to find it, secretly hidden underground beneath a small hill at the exact center of the island.

This object, roughly the size of a volleyball, is a metal sphere densely engraved with what appear to be magical formulas on its surface. It has a distinctive appearance similar to something embedded in rock… it also resembles a component of some machine.

    ‘Is this… Runic script?’

Upon seeing what I presumed to be ancient magical letters—likely runes—mixed with the formulas engraved on its surface, I concluded that this was probably a component or power source for some magical machine.

A tool that implements the “drawing mysticism” solely through its structure and formulas, without any external magical power supply. I can’t determine its specific function or what it was originally used for…

One thing is certain, though—it appears this can be used as a foundation to create my primitive theme park with relative ease.

    ※ ※ ※

As mentioned earlier, the biggest obstacle in recreating a primitive jungle otherworld is none other than energy (magical power).

Naturally formed otherworlds draw energy or magical power from the surrounding nature as fuel, while otherworlds created by advanced magic users consume the caster’s magical power to maintain themselves.

And the most important factor determining the resources that can be invested in the shape or form of an artificial otherworld is also magical power (energy).

Given that securing a means of continuously supplying magical power—which serves as the driving force of an otherworld—is the core of otherworld creation, the magical power consumed by an otherworld designed to form a primitive environment with overwhelming magical density and mystical concentration is beyond what the mystical resources beneath this uninhabited island can handle…

Therefore, I decided to adapt the sphere obtained from the central hill of the island to draw magical power from the surroundings.

After spending some time researching, I discovered that the drawing mysticism imbued in this sphere works more effectively in mental or abstract realms than with physical matter.

Of course, in its current state, it’s far from adequate, and since the directionality of its drawing power isn’t clear, it indiscriminately pulls in surrounding elements—resulting in this small island…

[…Flow of the earth, gather and come hither. You shall shine brilliantly…]

Therefore, I installed several auxiliary devices near the sphere to guide and draw magical power from the ley lines beneath the surrounding sea area.

Just as ley lines are likened to the blood vessels of this planet, there’s a center where magical power flowing through the ley lines gathers, and fortunately, this center is near my island.

    ‘Alright, let’s give it a try…’

Thanks to this, I was able to draw magical power from the ley line center despite the considerable distance, and the result is right before my eyes.

On the now-empty island—after literally transferring the entire ecosystem to my estate—I established a barrier to isolate the space and then frantically pumped in the drawn magical power.

Combined with several totems I installed in the otherworld—totems learned from the Birdman tribe that promote the rooting of primitive mysticism and wild mysticism—the internal environment of the island has transformed to a level quite similar to the primitive environment I once experienced.

Ah, of course, it’s still far from comparable to that hellish jungle.

While Sofi came and used celestial magic to adjust the sun and climate to resemble the southern jungle of the New Continent, there are still no living creatures inside, and the maddening humidity hasn’t reached a similar level.

But this was actually my intention.

This otherworld was originally planned to be a kind of wild zoo and theme park rather than an exact recreation of the jungle ecosystem. After all, an otherworld meant for tourists can’t be excessively hot and humid to the point of causing heat stroke.

Anyway, after completing this basic environmental setup, I naturally began planting trees and introducing simple ecosystem components into the empty otherworld.

I planted primitive ferns—one of the few herbivorous plants in the carnivore-dominated southern jungle of the New Continent—and added several adaptable plant species to create a rich ecological environment.

Adding carnivorous plants like “Venom Nepenthes” or “Toothed Fly Trap” completed the minimal ecosystem setup.

Now, all I needed to do was bring in animals to form the basic ecosystem.

While the large and beautiful fantasy king dinosaurs and dinosaur-like primitive magical beasts are so famous that they’re easily overlooked, the lower ecosystem of the southern New Continent is actually composed of small primitive magical beasts similar to rodents.

These creatures, resembling what we commonly think of as “Mesozoic mammals,” are omnivorous life forms that, like modern rodents, overcome their inferior combat abilities with overwhelming reproductive capacity and survival skills resulting in sheer numbers.

Of course, if I were to release only these creatures, it’s obvious that the island—which, despite being expanded through the otherworld’s space-expansion function, still can’t be considered very large—would be devastated…

    ‘…Go, raptor!’

To control the population of these primitive rodents, I released medium-sized primitive magical beasts—about the size of medium dogs—that primarily feed on these rodents.

With this, the basic ecosystem creation was complete, and what remained was… to develop the primitive theme park in earnest.
