    # Chapter 161: Prosnack is Hungry

Of course, Uko’Praknar wasn’t the only one that suffered major damage.

The Syr-Hod Federation also incurred enormous and severe losses, but…

“All ships, immediately turn 180 degrees and attack!”

“We’ll attack in reverse, full speed backward!”

    “Oh shit.”

The admirals of the Syr-Hod Federation were those who had commanded the Kesik and mercenary fleets on the frontlines during the Warlord Incident.

Being well-versed in such insane battles, they immediately launched a counterattack against the Fuxviet Federal Fleet, fully utilizing the fleet tactics they had learned from the Warlord.

Of course, even for admirals who had weathered countless storms under the Warlord’s command.

Winning a battle after losing half their forces to a surprise attack was nearly impossible.

Faced with an overwhelming difference in military strength, they could only fight desperately to somehow evacuate their remaining fleet.

But as they say, heaven helps those who help themselves.

    “You fucking Fuxviet commie bastards!!!”

“How did they arrive so soon—”

The Nurval Republic arrived 12 hours earlier than expected and beautifully struck the exposed rear of the Fuxviet Federal fleet.

While the Fuxviet fleet fell into chaos after suddenly finding itself caught in a two-front battle.

    “Now’s our chance!!!”

“Let’s get out of here for now and meet up later.”

The Syr-Hod Federation and Uko’Praknar fleets managed to escape with their remaining ships.

The Nurval Republic, satisfied with the success of their surprise attack, also managed to withdraw without obsessing over expanding their military achievements.

    And as a result.

The Fuxviet’s betrayal and surprise attack, looking at the outcome alone, failed to achieve its objective.

According to the original plan, the Fuxviet fleet was supposed to completely annihilate the main fleets of the three eastern nations that had arrived in response to Eternia’s summons.

Then they would use additional Fuxviet fleets waiting in reserve to push back the three nations whose fleet strength had been weakened, but…

In reality, although Uko’Praknar and Syr-Hod suffered heavy damage, they succeeded in escaping.

The Nurval Republic even inflicted severe damage on the complacent Fuxviet fleet.

As a result, with all their plans in disarray, Fuxviet hurriedly began deploying their waiting fleets toward the closest Syr-Hod Federation and Nurval Republic, but…

    “Get lost, you bastards!”

    “How dare you.”

Having received communications from the fleets that had been ambushed.

Above all, the two nations, distrustful of Fuxviet from the beginning, had already fortified their homeland defenses.

“I swear I’ll sharpen my blade and return.”

Uko’Praknar, which had been slow to rebuild its fleet due to economic and infrastructure recovery, now invested all its resources into fleet restoration with burning rage.

In the end, Fuxviet achieved none of their desired outcomes and instead found themselves in the catastrophe of an all-out war against three nations.

What’s more, one of them was a vassal state of the Seveli Empire, meaning they had unnecessarily provoked a distant western nation they had no reason to fight.

    ——————————–

But while Fuxviet was lamenting, Prosnack was smiling with joy.

    “Such reliable allies (laughs).”

Whether Fuxviet got screwed over or not, what mattered was that they had destroyed the fleet that would have come to Kerzin’s aid.

Prosnack was simply delighted that Fuxviet’s self-destruction had effectively eliminated Kerzin’s strategic reserves.

However, this didn’t mean that Prosnack’s war situation was improving…

“What the hell, why is the defense depth so damn long?”

“Does the galaxy’s largest fortress zone look like a joke to you?”

Although they had initially succeeded in breaching the front line using disposable super-large siege cannons.

The problem was that the Jon-Burnater Line’s defense depth was excessively long.

    -BOOM! KWANG!

“Attacks coming from all directions—above, below, left, and right!”

    “Spread out and attack, hurry!”

“The asteroids and meteorites forming the fortress line make maneuvering impossi—”

    -CRASH!

They had managed to melt large asteroid fortresses using particle beams and burn through defensive satellites and asteroids to create a direct path, but.

Too many fleets had concentrated in the narrow corridor, causing Kerzin Federation’s defensive firepower to concentrate as well.

As they tried to advance along the corridor, intact fortresses, defensive satellites, platforms, and fleets remained on either side.

Prosnack’s breakthrough fleet continued to advance while suffering astronomical losses.

Of course, Prosnack wasn’t stupid and had come up with a strategy.

    “Fire!”

That strategy was to deploy numerous assault ships and small vessels to eliminate the Jon-Burnater Line’s fortresses and defensive forces positioned on all sides of the corridor.

It was a brute force approach of fighting while maneuvering through the internal asteroid fields.

Naturally, since Kerzin Federation knew the internal geography perfectly, Prosnack’s small vessel losses were breaking records daily, but.

“Even if ten of our ships explode, we profit if we sink one of Kerzin’s!”

“This is such a fucking game.”

The overwhelming difference in national power demonstrated the magic of being able to compensate for insane loss rates with supplies and deployment of forces.

However, because of these crazy actions, Kerzin also had to commit all available forces to the fortress line and defense of the Jon-Burnater Line.

Originally, by now the fleets of the Syr-Hod Federation, Fuxviet Federation, Uko’Praknar Stellar Union, and Nurval Republic would have arrived, giving them some breathing room, but…

    “Damn those Fuxviet bastards.”

“Once this war is over, I’m… declaring war on Fuxviet.”

    “Isn’t that a death flag?”

As mentioned above, those precious fleets had long since disappeared.

Kerzin was forced into an endless war of attrition against an enemy 15 times its national power, unable even to preserve reserve forces.

And after this mind-bending war of attrition.

    “We’ve broken through!”

“We’re the first to make it!”

Finally, some of Prosnack’s small fleets broke through the Jon-Burnater Line, seemingly poised to strike at Kerzin Federation’s soft underbelly, but…

    “Hello, motherf***er?”

    “!!!”

By the concentrated fire of Kerzin’s reserve forces that shouldn’t have existed.

The Prosnack fleet, which had succeeded in being the first to break through the hellish Jon-Burnater Line, was turned to cosmic dust exactly 3 minutes and 41 seconds after breaking through.

    —————————————–

And that Kerzin ‘reserve force’ that demonstrated such firepower.

No, it was the Precursor fleet that the Holy Empire of Eternia had ‘illegally dumped’ under the pretext of ‘recyclable waste disposal’.

Since it was technically illegally dumped garbage, deployed through Eternia’s legal loophole.

The number of ships was extremely limited (20 ships in total).

Most were small vessels like escort ships or patrol ships, with only 3 proper cruiser-class ships.

There was only 1 battleship, presumably meant to serve as the flagship…

At first glance, it seemed like they couldn’t do much in the Jon-Burnater Line theater where thousands to tens of thousands of ships were clashing, but…

    -ZZZZING… BOOOM!!!

What mattered was that a Precursor Empire ‘fleet’ had been deployed to the front.

“Damn it all, are the Precursors already fully intervening?!”

That fact alone sent a tremendous shock through the Prosnack command that had been continuing its offensive.

“They’ve intervened much earlier than expected.”

“I suppose with the ‘lower species’ fleets gone due to Fuxviet’s betrayal, they must feel the urgency.”

Of course, they could understand the early intervention to some extent, but…

The problem was that the very existence of this Precursor fleet was serving as the strategic reserve that Kerzin shouldn’t have had.

“This is the 551st Squadron, we’ve just broken through the Jon-Burnater Line… Wait, what is that! AAAGH!!!”

    -KWANG!

As expected of Precursor Empire ships, they demonstrated superiority over Prosnack’s fleet in all aspects—attack, defense, and maneuverability.

Of course, Prosnack wasn’t just going to sit back and watch.

“Precursor fleet discovered in sector 3-4-3!”

“Deploy the mobile strike force immediately to cut off their retreat route. We must inflict damage on them somehow!”

There were several instances where encirclement nearly formed, directed by leadership who believed that if they could just eliminate that damned Precursor fleet, the occupation of Kerzin would be all but assured.

    “Block them!”

“Long live Eternia! Long live Kerzin!”

Naturally, the Kerzin Federal forces, judging that the war’s outcome depended on the Precursor fleet’s existence, willingly served as meat shields for them…

    As a result.

The high-speed battleship serving as the flagship commanding Prosnack’s breakthrough of the Jon-Burnater Line was split in two and sunk.

Other mobile units were damaged by the combination of Kerzin and Precursor fleets and forced to retreat.

    “How is this even possible?!”

Thanks to this truly unbelievable performance, Kerzin managed to close one of the corridors that had been breached by particle beams.

Prosnack, suddenly facing a space version of the failed Schlieffen Plan, had entered another devastating war of attrition in an attempt to secure the remaining corridors…

And as I heard all this news through reports, I could feel my brain starting to ache.
