Ch.161Kiss of Fire 12

    Dohyun begins to shrink gradually.

Eventually, he completely melts down and becomes as small as a little girl.

    White bobbed hair.

Tear marks appearing on her face.

Soon, he transforms into someone identical to Siho.

    “What on earth…”

    A delicate, youthful voice.

The girl looked up at Jisoo with bewildered eyes.

“Why are you refusing when I’m offering to send you back to better times?”

    She approached Jisoo, breathing heavily.

The small bartender pokes Jisoo’s chest with her finger and asks:

“The one you liked was Dohyun, wasn’t it!”

Jisoo didn’t respond to her words.

She just stared blankly at the angel mimicking Siho.

“That’s right. But if I irresponsibly go back to the past…”

Soon, she gently wrapped her fingers around the angel’s hand.

And with sad eyes, she said:

“What about Dohyun who became like this for my sake…”

    Jisoo’s eyes redden.

She who hadn’t cried even in the face of death or any pain.

Yet thinking about Siho, who had been suffering alone, tears began to form in her eyes.

Soon, hot droplets rolled down her cheeks.

Those droplets flowed onto the angel’s fingers that were touching Jisoo’s body.

“You’re staying here just for that reason?”

The angel’s red pupils quiver gently.

“Yes, my wish is to get Siho back.”

Jisoo dropped the sword from her waist onto the floor.

The sound of metal striking echoed magnificently through the white space.

Soon, she held both of the angel’s hands.

“And now I’m going to make her happy.”

    The angel bowed her head.

And rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand, she muttered:

“Damn it… why am I getting like this too…”

She roughly shook off Jisoo’s hands.

Then returned to the pond that had contained the holy water.

    “Fine, I’ll grant it.”

Soon the angel dipped her feet into the water.

And slowly began to enter deeper.

“If it’s you… no, if it’s you and those women…”

    She bends her knees.

She even submerged both hands into the pond.

    “—!”

Soon, pale bare feet emerge from the water’s surface.

From thighs to chest and black hair.

The angel lifted Siho’s body, sound asleep, from the pond.

    “Siho!”

    Jisoo hurriedly approached the pond.

The angel then slowly walked toward her while carrying Siho.

“She can’t wake up yet. She put herself to sleep.”

    “She put herself to sleep?”

“Yes. When Park Shinae tried to take me away, she lost consciousness on purpose to prevent it.”

    Jisoo frowned.

What did it mean that someone tried to take her away?

Soon, as if to answer this question,

The angel raised her head and met Jisoo’s eyes.

“I’m the last fragment of Siho’s Angelic Hand. I can only take human form in this space.”

She handed Siho over to Jisoo.

“That woman tried to kill Siho to forcibly take me. So I’ve been protecting Siho’s body like this, on the condition that I strengthen her minions.”

Jisoo stared intently at the angel.

The angel placed her hand on her chest and spoke proudly:

“I had no choice. If I didn’t do this, they would have killed Siho and forcibly absorbed her power.”

“Although the other fragments are giving power to Park Shinae through Siho… I know that no one uses this power as righteously as this child.”

    Jisoo quietly nodded.

Fortunately, the angel was on Siho’s side.

“I understand, so how do we wake Siho now?”

At that question, the angel smiled gently.

    “I need to disappear.”

Soon, her body began to sparkle.

The angel turned into radiance, and before long, only a white silhouette remained.

    “I’ll trust you all.”

Soon she began to be drawn into Siho’s body.

    “Siho… please make her happy.”

Soon the light was completely absorbed into Siho’s body.

    “…”

However, she didn’t open her eyes immediately.

She just breathed softly like a child.

Jisoo didn’t try to wake her, but sat at the edge of the pond while holding her.

And with Siho lying on her lap, she simply waited for her to wake up.

    Staring down at Siho’s body.

Clean without a speck of dust, with a moderately full figure.

Yet ideally beautiful without any excess fat.

Jisoo blankly stared at her body and then blinked her eyes.

And tried hard to look away.

But this was a white space.

There was nothing but white emptiness to turn her gaze to.

Eventually, she looked down at the softly breathing Siho again.

The feeling of her whole body heating up from the thigh pressed against Siho’s.

Perhaps because of that feeling, Jisoo took off the jacket she was wearing.

And carefully covered Siho’s body with it.

    “When will she wake up…”

Her hair, wet from being in the water, stuck to her cheek.

Jisoo tucked that hair behind her ear.

Then she noticed a mole on Siho’s neck.

She rubbed that mole with her finger.

    And thought.

Have I ever felt such affection looking at a woman?

Jisoo soon realized the answer to that question.

That she didn’t like Siho because she was a woman.

She realized that she simply loved the existence called ‘Siho’.

With that conclusion, Jisoo’s chest began to feel hot.

She placed her hand on her chest and took a deep breath.

And slowly leaned toward Siho’s face.

    Jisoo’s hair cascading down.

She was careful not to wake Siho with her hair.

She slowly tucked her hair behind her ear.

Then gently pressed her lips against Siho’s cheek.

    A soft sensation.

Jisoo felt a surge of guilt for unconsciously kissing a girl.

But she soon erased that guilt with the reality that this wasn’t just any girl, but Siho.

    At that moment.

    Siho’s firmly closed eyelids opened.

    Revealing her dark pupils.

With half-lidded, sensual eyes, Siho looked up at her first love.

    “Unnie…?”

Her unnie who had kissed her cheek.

Siho’s face flushed red at the dreamlike reality she encountered upon opening her eyes.

    “S-Siho…”

    Jisoo was the same.

Her face froze when caught secretly kissing Siho.

“This is, well… like a friendship kiss.”

Jisoo made up an excuse without thinking.

    But soon she realized.

That what she just said was exactly what Siho had said to her at the International Village.

    “Is it really… friendship?”

Siho looked up at her unnie with a sad expression.

    Those words pierced Jisoo’s heart.

She was speechless, just staring down at Siho.

Close enough for their breaths to mingle.

The unnie was flustered by the girl’s melancholic expression.

Then Siho lifted her face with a seductive smile.

    “Do it again.”

    And whispered softly to Jisoo.

    “So I can feel it.”

Siho brought her red lips close to Jisoo’s.

And obediently waited for her unnie’s permission.

    Jisoo’s golden pupils trembled.

She felt her body heating up more intensely than ever before.

Like her body was filled with burning fire.

It was incomparably hotter than when fighting against Rankers.

Soon she tightly closed her eyes.

And surrendered to the rising heat.

    “I’m sorry, and…”

    Their lips met.

They savored the sweet nectar while breathing each other’s breath.

Jisoo’s intense heat transferred to Siho’s mouth.

Thanks to that, her body also began to heat up.

Soon a white thread stretched between their lips.

Jisoo covered her mouth with the back of her hand and confessed softly:

    “I like you.”

    Jisoo’s eyes reddened.

    She hugged Siho tightly.

    “Me too.”

Siho also sniffled, entrusting her whole body to her.

    “—.”

    Perhaps because of that.

The white space where the two were began to ripple.

The void shook and cracks appeared everywhere.

    “W-what’s happening?”

    Jisoo hurriedly embraced Siho.

“It’s a space created by Park Shinae. It’s disappearing because I woke up.”

Cracked pieces fell down one after another.

An unpleasant black space began to appear.

    “—!”

    The two hurriedly got up.

    “What do we do now?”

They had entered through the holy water.

But they didn’t know the way out.

Then Siho looked up at Jisoo with a serious expression.

“I’ll try to create an escape route.”

She stared intently at the void.

Then raised her index finger and drew a rectangle.

    Soon a rectangular door appeared.

Jisoo looked at Siho with an expression of wonder.

“I just somehow felt this would work.”

Siho grabbed Jisoo’s jacket tightly with an awkward smile.

    She staggered toward the door.

But perhaps due to being asleep in water for so long,

She stumbled as if her whole body was cramping.

    Jisoo quickly approached Siho.

And lifted her up like a princess.

    “Ah…”

    A soft moan.

Siho covered her face with both hands, embarrassed.

“Sorry, we don’t have time so excuse me!”

    The white space crumbling.

Jisoo ran toward the door while carrying Siho.

    The floor shattered like ice.

Darkness closed in as if trying to swallow the two.

Soon Siho closed her eyes, holding Jisoo tighter amid the terrifying sounds.

    Finally reaching the door.

Jisoo pulled it open with one hand.

A light so strong it was hard to open their eyes poured out from the open door.

    The two threw themselves inside.

As Jisoo’s feet left the nearly vanished white space,

That space completely shattered, leaving only black darkness.

    “—.”

    “She’s twitching?”

    “What, really?”

    Familiar voices reach my ears.

    “Jisoo, wake up!”

    Who is it…?

    “Ah…”

    Master Anna, Senior Jeoksa…

I sat up, gasping for breath.

Without time to gather my thoughts, I quickly looked around.

“You’re awake? Did you see the angel?”

I faced the two Rankers with half-open eyes.

    But I didn’t answer.

I just hurriedly got up and looked around.

    “S-Siho…?”

At that question, Anna and Jeoksa both frowned.

“Siho? We couldn’t find her. Didn’t you meet her?”

When Jeoksa answered with a bitter expression, I frantically began looking around the cathedral.

    I definitely saved her!

We definitely went through the door together!

    Where is she?

Soon my gaze turned to the pond filled with holy water.

A pond with a dry tree stuck in it.

The design was exactly the same as what I saw in the white space.

    I hurriedly entered the pond.

And began splashing around, searching the bottom.

    “She was definitely here…!”

Anna and Jeoksa blankly watched me searching the pond like a madwoman.

My white shirt was completely soaked.

    But I didn’t stop.

I kept feeling around the bottom until I approached the tree stuck in the center of the pond.

Only then could I stop my gestures.

My gaze toward the water’s surface.

Because a black shadow was cast over it.

    “Hey guys…”

    A familiar voice.

I slowly raised my head at that voice.

    And then.

I faced the face I had been searching for.

Siho, hiding behind the tree with just her face peeking out.

She mumbled, seemingly embarrassed about being naked.

“Sorry, but could someone give me some clothes?”

Only then did a smile of relief spread across my face.

It was the same for my master and senior.

The two ran to the pond with puppy-like expressions of emotion.
