    # Chapter 160: Prosnack’s Advance

Of course, news that Prosnack’s grand fleet was concentrating at the border region and deploying unidentified super-large artillery batteries near the border was immediately confirmed by the Kerzin Federation.

“Those damned bastards are stirring up trouble again.”

This provocation, completely different from previous ones, was clearly interpreted by anyone in Kerzin as nothing short of a full-scale invasion.

The Kerzin “Iron Wall” fleets, which hadn’t moved even during the so-called “temptation maneuvers,” were deployed to the powerful Zon-Burnater Line. They quickly prepared to face Prosnack’s lightning invasion alongside numerous mines, unmanned defense systems, defensive satellites, and platforms installed in the fortress zone.

But for some reason, this time the situation was a bit different.

    “Why aren’t Prosnack’s fleets moving?”

No matter how quickly the Iron Wall fleets had moved…

Considering the mobility of Prosnack’s proud high-maneuverability fleet…

While the fleets were being deployed to the Zon-Burnater Line, there should have been at least one offensive sweeping across the front lines, but for some reason, Prosnack wasn’t launching an attack even as the Kerzin fleets were being positioned on the defensive line.

“Could this also be a fake-out?”

“Something’s strange. Judging by their fleet formation alone, they should have started their offensive by now.”

The Prosnack fleet near the border had even arranged a typical breakthrough formation, yet they were merely standing by.

The Kerzin Federation’s fleet admirals and fortress commanders felt increasingly suspicious about Prosnack’s attitude.

Nevertheless, in their hearts, they held strong faith and trust in the Zon-Burnater Line.

    “Wabarat!”

    “Kuikui.”

“Come at us! Lose and we’ll make you our slaves.”

Thus, once all fleets were fully deployed to the defensive line, the Kerzin Federation opened public communication channels to taunt them. This rare scene boosted the morale of the Kerzin federal forces stationed at the defensive line without them even realizing it.

    -Ziiiiing… Pyung!

A massive particle beam fired from such a distant range that it couldn’t even be tracked by radar.

One of the asteroids where fortresses, docking facilities, and some ships were waiting literally melted and disappeared because of it.

    “…?”

“W-warning! Ultra-high energy reaction detected from the front!”

If only that particle beam hadn’t come multiple times.

    -KWAAAAAANG!!!!

    ——————————–

At the same time, inside the command center of the Prosnack frontline fleet flagship “Immortal Fortress.”

“Confirmed hits on enemy fortress line. Breaches detected in the Zon-Burnater Line.”

The sight of massive particle beams crossing through space, tearing apart and melting enemies, must have been quite impressive.

The Prosnack admiral, watching with his one eye, shed thick tears and spoke in a voice overwhelmed with emotion.

“Truly a beautiful sight, glory to the Prosnack Union…!”

Although those large and beautiful particle beam batteries had all exploded, unable to withstand their own energy, and…

“I’ll curse you again and again… and become a ghost to haunt you!!!”

“Wait, why are there ghosts in the cannons—”

The battery operators, technical staff, and the small fleet deployed as escorts had all been sent to the afterlife.

And incidentally, the surface of a nearby resource planet had been crisply fried as well—but the admiral didn’t concern himself with such “minor” issues.

Anyway, after barely enduring such a heart-swelling situation, the admiral proudly called out to the communications officer of the flagship.

“Relay to all fleets! Launch a full-scale offensive toward the Kerzin border immediately!”

“Understood. Emergency transmission to all fleets: Operation successful. All fleets are to immediately begin full-scale offensive toward the Zon-Burnater Line.”

And the moment that order was issued.

The massive Prosnack force of 10,000 ships gathered at the front line launched a lightning invasion with brisk engine sounds.

    ——————————-

    Meanwhile, at that time.

“…Those madmen have finally caused an incident.”

The Pioneer Empire was shocked by Prosnack’s actions, which had pushed through the Zon-Burnater Line—a defensive line they had helped create for their “unofficial” sponsored nation—with insane firepower from disposable cannons.

Of course, they hadn’t thought the Zon-Burnater Line would remain impenetrable forever.

But this was breaking through far too quickly.

That’s not to say the Kerzin Federation was incompetent.

On the contrary, those children had done their best within their capabilities.

Even now, they were sacrificing their lives, trying somehow to maintain the breaches in the defensive line.

Therefore, the leadership of the Pioneer Empire and the Eternia Holy Empire began preparing countermeasures for their protégé against Prosnack.

Of course, it wasn’t for such trivial reasons as feeling sorry for Kerzin.

“The purpose of those insignificant beings is obvious without even looking. They’re solely aiming for our necks.”

    “That is correct.”

They were displeased by the very fact that primitives like Prosnack were threatening their territory.

However, they couldn’t directly intervene in the fight themselves.

After all, it would be quite beneath their dignity to directly intrude in a conflict between such “inferior species.”

Above all, the “Rules” prevented such actions, so they couldn’t do it even if they wanted to.

For that to be possible, one would need to be at least a “Saint,” but the “Saint” herself wasn’t present.

The Eternia Holy Empire decided, as always, to use other “inferior species” to resolve this issue and put their plan into action.

“Wouldn’t it be sufficient to mobilize nations of inferior species by using abandoned relics, ships, or technology as bait?”

“That indeed seems like the best approach.”

And as a result of proceeding with this plan.

The Eternia Holy Empire received confirmation that a total of four nations would participate after taking their bait and requests:

The Syr-Horde Alliance and Fuksviet Federation from the east.

    The Nurbal Republic.

And finally, the Uko`Praknar Interstellar Union, which had barely restored its fleet after the punitive damage compensation claims from the Galactic Alliance ended following their contributions in the Nano Machine War.

“This certainly works best with inferior species.”

The Eternia Empire thought this would be sufficient help for the Kerzin Federation and planned to leisurely observe the situation.

However, events unfolded in a direction no one had anticipated.

    “Looks like we arrived first?”

“We’ve barely restored our fleet. We need to gain experience here to build a foundation for future fleet reconstruction.”

Before heading to Kerzin, they had agreed to gather once before traveling together, since all four nations’ fleets would be going.

But only the Syr-Horde Alliance and the Uko`Praknar Interstellar Union arrived exactly on time.

-“Sorry, but we have a slight error in fleet supplies, so we’ll probably arrive tomorrow.”

    “Kkabi.”

Fortunately, the Nurbal Republic sent word that they would arrive in just a day.

    “We have arrived.”

    “That was quick.”

The Fuksviet appeared at the edge of the gathering planetary system without any prior notice, right after the communication with the Nurbal Republic ended.

“So what shall we do? Wait for Nurbal before departing? Or should we leave first and have Nurbal follow?”

“Wouldn’t it be better to go first? With just a day’s difference, they’ll likely catch up with us before we arrive.”

    “Agreed.”

After a brief discussion, the allied fleet gathered at Eternia’s request concluded that it would be better to depart first rather than wait for Nurbal.

    “Alright, let’s depart.”

They turned their ships toward the hyperspace route in the direction of the Kerzin Federation.

    But at that moment.

    “Now! All fleets commence firing.”

    “What.”

The moment all the Syr-Horde and Uko`Praknar fleets had their backs turned.

The Fuksviet Federation ships, positioned relatively to the rear, unleashed indiscriminate fire without any warning…

    -KWANG! PUNG! KWANG!

    “Th-this is betrayal! Betrayal!”

“Ah, in war, the one who gets backstabbed is the fool.”

“If you kill us, do you think Prosnack will leave you alone?!”

“Yes, we’ve formed an alliance with Prosnack.”

Surprisingly, the Fuksviet Federation had not only renewed their cooperation with Prosnack, which was thought to have been severed after the Zeltech Extinction War…

They had even formed a secret alliance allowing Prosnack to consume Kerzin and check Eternia, while Fuksviet would be permitted to devour the rest of the eastern region.

And because of this, Uko`Praknar would enter a record in the Galaxy-Guinness Book maintained within the Galactic Alliance.

    “No! Our fleet!!!!!!!!!”

That record was the destruction of half their fleet forces in just three hours—a fleet they had barely restored after years of paying the Alliance’s punitive damage compensation.
