Ch.15Inauguration Ceremony (Part 2)

As Midir appeared and the inauguration ceremony for the Blood Tower was about to begin, TowerInside was buzzing with discussions about the ceremony taking place at the Crimson Blood Magic Tower.

    [I brought the inauguration schedule]

[Like if you’re excited for the inauguration lol]

[I’m streaming the inauguration, come watch]

[Like if you’re excited for the inauguration lol]

(Midir standing on the platform looking down at everyone.jpg)

Like if you’re excited about the future of the Crimson Blood Magic Tower under our Blood Tower Master’s leadership lolol

    Comments:

    – This isn’t fake, I personally clicked like 99999999 times

ㄴ The likes are only at 29457, fake it more, gay

ㄴㄴ First time seeing someone telling others to fake likes lol wtf

    – Blood Tower Master is so beautiful… sigh…

ㄴ For real… how can someone be so pretty, cute, cool, and charismatic… wow… she really has it all… I love you, sister…!!

ㄴㄴ Wow this is basically a cult wtf

    ㄴㄴ Sister (lol)

ㄴㄴ Isn’t she more like a grandmother than a sister?

    ㄴㄴㄴ How dare you!!

    – I wish I could have just one conversation with the Blood Tower Master…

ㄴ Why would she meet average mages like us…

    ㄴㄴ *sob*…

Of course, there were quite a few people with malicious thoughts after seeing Midir appear in an official capacity.

[I want Blood Tower Master to suck my blood once…]

As far as I know, I heard she sucks blood… I don’t like other men, but if it’s the Blood Tower Master…

Wow… such a pretty girl coming up to me and sinking her teeth into my neck… wow… WOW!!

    This is the real deal…

    Comments:

    – You sick bastard, just go die

ㄴ You like this kind of stuff too lol

ㄴㄴ How can you have such thoughts about the Blood Tower Master? I can’t believe someone like you is a Blood Mage like me

And this was just the tip of the iceberg.

In other Magic Towers, people wouldn’t post such things because even if posted anonymously, the Tower Masters could track them down if they wanted to. But the Aether Tower forum was different.

The highest administrator there was Eterna, known as the Progenitor of Magic.

She wouldn’t go out of her way to find and punish people unless they violated the strictly prohibited actions on the forum.

Therefore, mages posted all sorts of things more boldly on the Aether Tower forums.

The administrators (Tower Masters) were shocked by the flood of perverted posts about Midir on the Aether Tower forums and tried to delete them and ban users, but it was futile.

    The sheer volume was overwhelming.

The problem was exacerbated by Midir’s appearance.

While Midir’s aura clearly showed she wasn’t an ordinary child, her outward appearance was undeniably that of a young girl.

Even though she had magical abilities worthy of a Tower Master, didn’t act childish, and had even stated she was over a thousand years old…

    Appearances matter to everyone.

How could there be so many trash people expressing sexual desires toward a young girl on anonymous forums?

    “These, these bastards…!”

The Black Tower Master, who was facing the worst slander, was grinding his teeth while deleting posts.

    Why such a strong reaction?

For no other reason than this was a “Tower Master’s inauguration ceremony.”

Despite the ongoing cyber war between Magic Towers, a new Tower Master taking office was an extremely significant event for any Magic Tower.

In the Magical Kingdom, which was technologically more advanced than any other country on the continent due to its development in magic and science, Magic Towers were considered the most important institutions as they oversaw and researched entire fields of study.

The appointment of a new Tower Master was naturally an event that would attract the attention of everyone in the Magical Kingdom.

It was only natural that all kinds of people would appear.

[These mosquitoes think something will change with a new Tower Master lol]

Tower Masters are just figureheads, why would they teach you magic? lol

Even if they taught you, you bugs wouldn’t be able to learn anyway lol

And Blood Magic that you can’t use anywhere even if you learn it lol

    Comments:

    – Why are you so angry when we’re just enjoying ourselves

ㄴ You guys are making a fuss about a new Blood Tower Master lol

ㄴ Do these guys have noodles for brains? They can’t even remember what they did lol

    – Was it any different when the previous Blood Tower Master was around? lol

    – Just like mosquitoes, they’re just stupid lol

    ㄴ Blood-poor level lol

    ㄴ Average Bloods lol

[I guarantee nothing will change after the inauguration]

Is escaping the Blood Tower based on intelligence?

That’s nonsense lol. If you entered the Blood Tower, don’t think about getting out

That’s the life that suits bottom-feeders like you

    Comments:

    – What do you know, you piece of shit

    ㄴ Triggered? lol

    – Smart young man

    – The hatred toward the Blood Tower has reached its peak… it’s really sad…

    ㄴ (Teary-eyed cone)

Some trolls from other Magic Towers deliberately posted aggressive comments trying to ruin the excited atmosphere of the inauguration, but in reality, they were mostly ignored.

They say true superstars create both fans and haters.

Amidst the chaotic forum filled with Blood Mages welcoming and supporting Midir, and mages from other towers who couldn’t stand seeing the Blood Tower doing well, the inauguration ceremony on the broadcast screen proceeded quietly.

    * * *

‘Did so many people gather just to see me?’

Standing on the platform, I looked around at the many people welcoming me and was filled with emotion.

I hadn’t felt this way since seeing the Empire’s citizens welcoming us when we returned by carriage after defeating the Demon King.

Unlike now when I’m a True Ancestor, back then I was an ordinary vampire, so standing under the sun caused continuous maximum health percentage damage, which was quite difficult.

Of course, after growing stronger, my health recovery exceeded the damage, making it meaningless.

This part was fortunate because it was a game; otherwise, I couldn’t have been active in the Hero’s party.

    But now it’s different.

Standing in direct sunlight causes no problems.

    It actually feels good.

I let out a small sigh.

Then I finished organizing what to say first in my mind.

Initially, I decided to become a Tower Master because I was intoxicated with the technology, but…

The more I looked, the more sympathy I felt for the Blood Tower.

These were people who tried to use my Blood Claw Art as magic after just seeing it once.

I couldn’t help but find them endearing, and I couldn’t just stand by and watch as they were ignored, ridiculed, and fell from grace.

    I didn’t want that.

I carefully approached the microphone and began to speak.

“First, I am pleased to be here with all of you today.”

As I began speaking, everyone listened attentively.

“A thousand years ago, after Count Vladimir, the founder and father of Blood Magic, defeated the Demon King, our tradition continued until we received the glorious ‘Crimson’ from Lady Eterna, the Progenitor of Magic, allowing us to stand in this symbolic place. The footsteps of our ancestors who opened the door to new knowledge and researched until this day have become guiding lights and companions that still remain with us.”

“However… even a thousand years is too short compared to the history of magic that originally existed. Unlike other disciplines with roots too deep to fathom, Blood Magic has just begun to sprout. For 500 years since receiving the ‘Crimson’ title, we have been ignored and mistreated, called a magic without foundation, inefficient and useless, treated so miserably that it’s hard to believe we exist in the same Magic Towers as others.”

The Blood Mages lowered their heads in distress.

Although Blood Mages had only spent a few years to decades in the Blood Tower, the long-standing perception weighed on their shoulders even though they hadn’t directly experienced it all.

    But…

    “So what?”

At my words, the Blood Mages raised their heads to look at me.

    I smiled confidently.

“I, have become the Tower Master of the Crimson Blood Magic Tower.”

    I declared.

“I, Midir Tepes, have a dream.”

“It is to ensure that ‘Crimson,’ which inherited the will of Count Vladimir, the founder and father of Blood Magic, is no longer despised.”

“Also, to raise the status of ‘Crimson’ from the bottom of the abyss back to the top where all Magic Towers look up to it.”

“Furthermore, when the Crimson bestowed by Lady Eterna, our Blood Magic, is recognized by everyone and stands proudly as the most honorable Magic Tower above all others!”

All the audience held their breath.

“Only then will we be able to regain the pride of being the greatest Blood Mages.”

    “…!!”

Determination filled the eyes of the previously dejected Blood Mages.

    I shouted.

“Rise, Blood Mages! You are noble pioneers advancing into unknown territory with the proud name of Crimson on your backs! Show those lazy individuals who have merely walked on paved roads for ages!”

    Your path was not wrong.

    Your choice was right.

Although it may feel like wandering in a dark abyss now.

    But now it’s different.

“I… I, Midir Tepes, who has inherited the will of Count Vladimir, will prove that the path you have walked was not wrong!”

    “Waaaaaah!!”

    “Make Blood Magic great!!!”

“Long live Midir! Long live the Crimson Blood Magic Tower!!”

All the Blood Mages shed tears and cheered enthusiastically at my declaration, essentially revealing myself as a disciple of Count Vladimir from a thousand years ago.

In the festive atmosphere where numerous Blood Mages hugged each other in joy,

I looked down at them and smirked.

    The inauguration ceremony ended successfully.

Everyone spent their days with one heart, anticipating how the Blood Tower would change.

And so, with expectations greatly inflated, a month passed.

    And nothing happened.
