    Ch.150Epilogue 11. There’s No Way I Could Raise a Hero’s Daughter (10) (End)

I immediately chased after the Dragon King Sentai.

I had already tampered with the suit to track Kang Yerin.

    “Singapore? That’s a nice neighborhood, isn’t it?”

Seems like she’s using an entire island.

Living the high life despite being a hero.

I flew there right away. It didn’t take very long.

A villa built on a picturesque beach. I could see three people walking and chatting a short distance away.

Ji Se-hwa, Shin Yukyong, and Kang Yerin 2.

I descended through the clouds and landed in front of them.

“Oh my goodness! Who’s this… Wait, Red Dragon? Is that you, Ui-seok?”

Ji Se-hwa approached me with a startled expression. I removed my helmet.

“It really is you! What brings you here?”

“What do you mean what? It’s an emergency! Contact Sulphur right away!”

When Kang Yerin 2 started making a fuss, I held out my hand to stop her.

“Wait a moment. I’m here as a hero.”

    “A hero?”

“I’ve decided to respect my daughter Ra-hee’s opinion. I’m quitting the villain business and becoming a hero. It’s the revival of the Dragon King Sentai.”

    Ji Se-hwa’s jaw dropped.

“Really? Wow… you’re such a doting father. Times really do change.”

“Hold on. Se-hwa, you actually believe that?”

Since Kang Yerin 2 didn’t believe me, I clenched my fist as a sign of determination.

“I’m serious. But we’re short on members right now. Ji Se-hwa, Shin Yukyong. I want to recruit you two.”

Ji Se-hwa waved her hand at my proposal.

“Come on, what do you take me for? I don’t betray my comrades. We’re about to go to an after-party…”

    Thud.

I placed a briefcase full of cash in front of Ji Se-hwa.

“No, Sulphur is a comrade and…”

    Thud, thud.

I put down two more cases.

    “I’ll handle the rest.”

Shin Yukyong was the first to stand by my side.

“Wait a minute! I bet you’re planning to attack Sulphur to get Ra-hee back, right? That’s why you came to us first!”

“That’s exactly right. Sulphur kidnapped Ra-hee first. She used underhanded methods. But I plan to settle this with a fair, heroic duel.”

“You have a point, but… you want me to fight Yerin?”

    “I’m right here, you know.”

Ji Se-hwa looked back at Kang Yerin 2, then finally walked over to my side.

“Just this once? I’m doing this because you’re a hero now. If you were still a villain, I wouldn’t.”

    “Of course. Trust me.”

As expected, Ji Se-hwa and Shin Yukyong were easy to persuade.

    Negotiation with money.

The most straightforward compromise method for villains.

    No, I’m a hero now.

This is a situation where two heroes have joined forces with me out of a righteous desire to rescue my daughter from her kidnapper.

    Yes, that’s exactly it.

“Ugh, this is a mess. Do whatever you want.”

Kang Yerin 2 sighed, looking at us with disdain.

“Let’s go. Hastily assembled Sun Dragon team, move out.”

    “That name…”

“It means we’ll rescue Ra-hee quickly.”

“…Let’s just go with it for now.”

Ji Se-hwa transformed with a dubious expression.

    ***

“I thought this would be fun.”

Jung Ra-hee let out a deep sigh.

She had started her hero activities out of rebellion against Jung Ui-seok and Lena.

Her parents had always been indifferent to her.

She had no doubt that the perfect way to end her activities would be by driving them apart as revenge.

Since she had maintained contact with Han Somi, it wasn’t difficult to relay information about Kang Yerin and Jung Ui-seok through her.

But seeing their relationship fall apart at the end didn’t sit well with her.

“Isn’t this what you wanted? Isn’t this why you became a hero?”

“At first, yes. But I came to enjoy being a hero. I enjoyed it because…”

Past images of Kang Yerin flashed through Jung Ra-hee’s mind.

“I liked being able to help people, like Dad used to.”

Tormenting Mom and Dad isn’t fun. Ra-hee concluded.

“Maybe I liked that even ordinary me could do something. I learned a lot from you too.”

“Your martial arts talent is the best I’ve ever seen. I guarantee it.”

Ra-hee was convinced Kang Yerin was just flattering her.

“Why do I prefer being a hero…? I must be adopted. Mom and Dad are the scariest villains in the world.”

“Haha, that’s precisely the proof that you’re truly Gerogius’s daughter.”

    “Why?”

Ra-hee tilted her head at Kang Yerin’s words. Kang Yerin grinned.

“Because I was the one who turned Gerogius, once an excellent hero, into a villain.”

    “…What does that mean?”

Just as Ra-hee was questioning this—

    BOOM!

The villa wall exploded, and three shadows loomed.

Red, blue, and silver heroes emerged, walking through the debris with confidence.

“Sulphur! As a hero, I challenge you to an S-Sentai Tournament! I will not tolerate the crime of kidnapping a minor and involving her in dangerous sentai activities!”

The red hero, Red Dragon, extended his finger toward Kang Yerin while dramatically fluttering his cape.

Ra-hee stared at him in shock, her mouth agape.

“Dad?! What are you doing here?”

“Ra-hee, just wait a little. Dad will be right there!”

“Wait for what? And what’s with that ridiculous outfit?”

Jung Ui-seok crossed his arms impressively and declared:

“Dad has decided to quit being a villain to be with Ra-hee. From now on, I’ll be active as the hero Red Dragon alongside Ra-hee! And!”

Jung Ui-seok took a fighting stance.

“That Sulphur over there is a very bad person. I can’t let her keep deceiving our Ra-hee. I’ll take her down right now!”

“What are you talking about? You said the world revolves around you! And I wasn’t deceived by anyone!”

Ra-hee shouted at Jung Ui-seok with resentment.

“Dad is always like this! Don’t make assumptions about what I think! You don’t even really intend to be a hero. If you quit being a villain, what about Mom? What about Soli and Stella? Saying you’re switching to being a hero just for me—I know it’s all lies!”

    “It’s not a lie! I will be a hero!!”

    Jung Ui-seok shouted back.

“Ra-hee, I’m sorry. I’m sorry for everything until now. Since this is Dad’s first time being a dad, I make a lot of mistakes! I don’t know how to do this right! If Ra-hee wants to be a hero, Dad will be a hero too!”

Jung Ui-seok sincerely apologized to Ra-hee.

“Sentai is fine, rescue operations are fine, fighting villains is fine. Just let me be there to make sure you’re safe. Dad can’t sleep worrying about you!”

Jung Ui-seok turned his head toward Ra-hee. Through the helmet visor, she could see his wistful gaze.

    “Ra-hee, please.”

Ra-hee bit her lip. Her clenched fists trembled.

How did we end up here? Why did I come to dislike Dad so much?

    …No. Actually, I don’t dislike him.

When I didn’t know he was my dad, I thought he was fun.

The hero Dad in the videos was cool.

The person in front of me is clearly the same person.

Why, why is there such a difference?

“Haha. Stop this amusing play, Gerogius. I had planned to plant my minion in Vengeance to destroy it, but seeing Jung Ra-hee’s reaction, it won’t be easy. Blood is blood after all.”

Kang Yerin stood up, stretching her neck. She activated a white Switch and transformed quickly.

“I accept your challenge. As a hero, you’re much weaker than when you were a villain. My opportunity has finally come. I’ll finish you off!”

    “Hey, we’re also here…”

    “Get out of my way!”

Ji Se-hwa and Shin Yukyong tried to block Jung Ui-seok, but Kang Yerin sent them flying out of sight with just two kicks.

    CRASH!

With her next move, Kang Yerin tackled Jung Ui-seok.

The two of them, tangled together, broke through the wall and flew outside.

    “Ugh…!”

    Ra-hee immediately chased after them.

The backdrop was the ocean with crashing waves.

The red hero and white hero kicked up fine sand with each step, flying through the air.

    “Red, blue, black, triple opening!”

“Oh, you think mere physical force will work? I have no reason to fight you with martial arts!”

Kang Yerin summoned a small galaxy to restrict Jung Ui-seok’s movements and separated the space, eliminating the vectors of martial arts.

Simultaneously, she continued her attack with gravity and tensile force. In an instant, the red suit was torn and the helmet shattered.

    ‘Dad…!’

    Ra-hee grimaced at the sight.

It was the first time in her life she had seen Jung Ui-seok on the defensive.

“You coward. If you’re a hero, fight fair and square with your body!”

“That’s bullshit. Since when did heroes fight like that?”

With Kang Yerin’s mocking laughter, a meteor shower she had summoned descended upon Jung Ui-seok. The sound of breaking bones and tearing muscles could be heard.

    “Damn it.”

“What a pathetic sight, Gerogius. If only you had been like this from the start. It would have been so much easier for me to take you down.”

Jung Ui-seok shook his head and got up.

His broken helmet now only covered his mouth.

Ra-hee saw it. Jung Ui-seok’s fiercely burning gaze.

Though she had never seen it in person, she had seen that look many times in videos.

When fighting strong opponents, Jung Ui-seok always had those eyes.

Seeing it directly, the impact was completely different.

The emotions it evoked were also different.

When this man, Jung Ui-seok, had something to protect, he transformed with such desperate eyes.

“Why do you stand up? Do you want your daughter back that badly?”

    “Of course.”

    “Haha, why?”

    Without a moment’s hesitation, Jung Ui-seok answered Sulphur’s question.

    “Because I love her.”

At those words, Ra-hee bowed her head deeply.

It felt like enough, like it was sufficient.

At the same time, she felt sorry toward Jung Ui-seok and Lena.

Come to think of it, she had never said those words to either of them.

Was it because she was shy?

Was it because she was embarrassed?

Even if her methods were wrong, her feelings weren’t fake.

“You say ‘love’ so easily, Gerogius. When did you become so cheap? What about me?”

    “You’re shit.”

“If you say you love me too, I might back off and return Jung Ra-hee to you.”

    “Go to hell.”

“Well then. Seems I have no choice but to force you as usual.”

Kang Yerin wrapped herself in gravity. She rushed toward Jung Ui-seok to deliver the final blow.

    “That’s enough!”

At that moment, Ra-hee charged at Kang Yerin. Thwack! She delivered a precise flying kick aimed directly at Kang Yerin’s chest.

Though Kang Yerin wasn’t severely damaged, she seemed slightly taken aback and stepped back.

And in that gap, her arms were bound in a quantum realm.

“Ha! I knew this would happen.”

    “‘Kneel.'”

Kang Yerin slumped down helplessly. An orange quantum realm opened, and from within, Lee Lu-a, Lena, and Han Somi emerged.

    “Mom…?”

“Ra-hee, I’m sorry. Actually, we’ve been eavesdropping for a while.”

Ra-hee nodded at Han Somi’s apology.

    “It’s okay. But Dad…”

“Don’t worry. He’s the strongest person in the world.”

Han Somi smiled kindly. Ra-hee felt reassured.

“What an annoying family. I’ve only suffered losses. Be prepared next time.”

Leaving behind words like a third-rate villain, Kang Yerin disappeared in the blink of an eye.

“She ran away again? I didn’t even get to hit her!”

Lee Lu-a clicked her tongue in frustration.

    Lena approached Ra-hee.

    “…Mom. I, um.”

Ra-hee expected to be slapped, but the opposite happened. Lena hugged Ra-hee tightly with all her strength.

    “I-I’m sorry. M-Mom was w-wrong. Please… please forgive me…”

Lena, seemingly unaccustomed to hugging people, adjusted the position of her arms and hands several times.

The trembling voice, the unstable center of gravity.

Looking at Lena, who had somehow become shorter than herself, Ra-hee recalled what Jung Ui-seok had said.

‘Dad is experiencing being a dad for the first time. Mom is experiencing being a mom for the first time.’

Whether they were the strongest villains or the richest tycoons, none of that mattered.

Everyone has their firsts, and everyone has their awkward moments.

    Ra-hee asked:

    “…Can I ask you something?”

    “W-what is it?”

“The fairy tale books at home, are they yours?”

“Yes. They’re what Mom read when she was little.”

    “…I see.”

Ra-hee finally realized that she and Lena were quite similar.

    “…I’m sorry too.”

    And so they reconciled.

    ***

Since then, Ra-hee, Lena, and I have been getting along more harmoniously, less awkwardly than before.

We didn’t suddenly become an extremely close family, but we started expressing our thoughts without hiding them.

Lena also reduced her workload and spent more time with us.

    I think it’s a positive change.

Since Somi had eavesdropped on the situation and Ra-hee confessed to planning it, the misunderstanding about my relationship with Kang Yerin was cleared up.

Thanks to that, my life was spared.

“I always play the villain. There’s absolutely nothing good about it. I’m the most wronged one here, don’t you think?”

When I met Kang Yerin later, she grumbled to me for quite a while.

It took a long time to console her.

“You coordinated so well without any prior agreement.”

“Haha, it’s you and me, Gerogius. I’ve got experience, haven’t I? But even I’m scared of Dark Matter and E.lena. I’ll have to change my hero name for a while. If a hero named Big One debuts, know it’s me.”

    “I’ll keep that in mind.”

Thanks to this incident, I had the opportunity to strengthen my bonds with my wives again.

For the first time in a long while, the four of us went on a trip together, just like old times.

Though it was quieter than before.

    It was quite enjoyable.

Lu-a was still cute, Lena was elegant, and Somi was kind.

“Geo, isn’t that a hero over there?”

During our trip, Lu-a pointed somewhere. Heroes were causing a terrorist attack.

“How inconsiderate of them to disrupt my quality time with Ui-seok.”

“I was just thinking it was time for some exercise. Please wait a moment. I’ll be right back.”

As my wives were about to warm up, there was a flash of light, and the terrorist attack was quickly suppressed. Citizens were promptly rescued.

Soon, fireworks exploded in the sky, and the phrase “Young Vengeance” appeared.

Soli, Stella, Riot Hook, and Slider’s faces were broadcast from the scene.

“That was fast! Looks like we don’t need to worry anymore.”

“I know! Doesn’t our Soli look great on screen?”

    And in the center.

Ra-hee’s face also appeared, proudly wearing a bright red steel suit.

    Villain name: “Red Wyvern.”

Ra-hee nodded and then shot fire from her suit, flying up into the sky.

The members of Young Vengeance followed behind her.

    No other description is needed.

    She looks cool.

“I’m jealous. Give our Soli and Stella suits like that too.”

“If you’re envious, why don’t you become a tycoon too, Lu-a?”

I wrapped my arms around the waists of Lu-a and Lena, who were about to start bickering.

“Who wants to have the husband that money can’t buy first?”

Lu-a and Lena stared at me, then pinched my cheeks simultaneously as if they had planned it.

    “Ouch, why?”

“Your way of talking is annoying.”

“You should be paying us, Ui-seok.”

“Hehe, I’ll take the liberty first today.”

Do women naturally become stronger when they become mothers?

    Well, I don’t mind.
