Ch.147Chapter 147: The Decisive Battle in the East (15).

    “It’s simple. A trick.”

    “A, a trick?”

    “Yes, a trick.”

Arias makes a puzzled expression at Valt’s words. She couldn’t understand what he was talking about, using tricks against an artifact.

And Lilith felt the same way.

“Lord Valt, a trick? Against an artifact? Could you explain in more detail?”

    At that moment.

Not far from where Valt’s group was standing, Gauwell’s molar falls once again.

    BOOM!!

    CRASH! CRACKLE!

Dozens, hundreds of mages are blocking Gauwell’s molar, but the situation continues to deteriorate as these mages cannot participate in the battle.

For now, they’re holding on since they haven’t been pushed back for long, but once they start to collapse in this situation, the Eastern Alliance’s formation will recede like an ebbing tide.

“Yes, I’m not sure if I’m right, but I think I roughly understand that artifact’s ability.”

    “R-really?”

“I said I think I understand, not that I’m certain. That’s why I need your help, Arias.”

Gauwell’s molar was an artifact known only to the oldest elves among elves.

Most people couldn’t even know such an artifact existed, and since no one had witnessed it, it was natural that they couldn’t know what its abilities were.

Yet this Gerung claims he can tell what the artifact’s ability is just by glancing at it once.

In a normal situation, Arias would have shouted at him not to talk nonsense, but given Valt’s demonstrated impossible abilities so far, she thought he might actually be able to figure out the artifact’s power.

No, Arias, Lilith, and most of Valt’s friends already had tremendous faith in him.

    “What should I do first?!”

Skipping the intermediate steps, Arias asked what she needed to do, and Lilith felt the same way.

“Is there anything I can do to help, Lord Valt?”

“Lilith, maintaining the platform magic alone will be difficult enough. I’m counting on you.”

    Gulp-

Could she really maintain her magic properly against that Orc Lord’s attack?

Even as a 7th Circle mage, the difference between a 7th Circle and an 8th Circle Arch Mage is like heaven and earth. Moreover, a Grand Master is an incomprehensible existence beyond a mage’s understanding.

Besides, that Orc King isn’t even human. It’s a mystery how he possesses the abilities of a Grand Master.

Lilith swallowed hard at the thought that it would be difficult to maintain her magic properly against such an opponent.

“Leave it to me! I’ll make sure Valt and Arias don’t fall!”

“Yes, I’m counting on you. Arias.”

    “Hmm?”

“How freely can you manipulate water with Undine?”

Arias answers honestly to Valt’s unexpected question.

“Quite… no, when it comes to manipulating water, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say I can do it freely.”

“Very good. Arias, what I need from you is deception using Undine.”

    “Explain in detail.”

    Valt’s explanation was simple.

He planned to use the refraction of Undine’s water against Gauwell’s molar’s attack.

He wanted to confuse the target of Gauwell’s molar by taking advantage of the long distance.

Of course, this couldn’t be called a perfect strategy. That’s why Valt also decided to use the Rupenium bracelet on his arm just in case.

He was preparing various contingencies because he hadn’t personally confirmed the power of Gauwell’s molar.

“Huh? It’s really distorting a lot? Can water alone change direction this much?”

Not magic, but science. Though it was meager knowledge to call it science, Valt quite liked the idea that suddenly came to him.

“It’s hard to imagine there would be such a beautifully shaped mass of water in the air. It will probably be effective.”

“But what if it has homing capabilities? Then this method won’t work, right?”

“Yes, that’s what I’m worried about too.”

    Arias flinches at Valt’s words.

“Then what do we do? If it flies straight at us despite this, it’s useless, isn’t it?”

“Haha, let’s hope that doesn’t happen.”

For some reason, Valt seemed relaxed.

Though it was just intuition, Valt was half-certain about what abilities the artifact possessed.

He had observed Gauwell’s molar falling on allied forces with a thunderous noise with his hawk-like eyes.

‘I can’t be certain, but that thing has homing capabilities. But it’s not fully automatic. It can probably only track what it visually confirms.’

The Orc King’s exceptional eyesight, developed to the incredible level of a Grand Master, could distinguish objects at enormous distances, and it seemed he was using this eyesight to throw the molar to strike down enemies.

Valt had observed that when attacking where mages were, the molar fell without a specific destination, but occasionally, when someone was making a significant contribution, the molar would be shot precisely at that location.

Each time, Valt carefully watched the distant Orc King.

Though too far to see clearly, the Orc King seemed to be watching the target at those times.

Of course, this was just an assumption. This method was just a trick to support what Valt was trying to do; to truly neutralize Gauwell’s molar, another method would need to be employed.

That was the throwing of a mini meteor.

The reason the Orc King had specifically targeted the Eastern Alliance’s Arch Mage with the artifact at the beginning was obvious.

He was bothered by mages freely attacking from the air.

Although Valt couldn’t use Fly magic, with Lilith’s help, he could attack the orcs with magic from the air.

    “Ready?”

Arias and Lilith nod at Valt’s words.

“Good, first I’ll prepare the magic. Noise!!”

    Flash!

As Valt raised his thick hand to the sky, Noise began to create a large rock in the air.

    Rumble-

Although it wasn’t even a tenth the size of the previous one, it was still large enough for an area attack.

“We need to get closer. We need to be within his range.”

Attacking the orcs like this isn’t actually a good method.

If Valt alone attacked those many orcs, his stamina would run out first.

He would need to pour down at least 10 meteors like the one he used before to make a meaningful impact.

So this was the trick he came up with.

“The first shot will be really big. Big enough to irritate that Orc King. Haaah!”

Valt continues to create a boulder through Noise. Since creating a boulder with the same power as before would risk immediate exhaustion, Valt creates a boulder of the largest size that would allow him to conserve his strength while delivering the greatest impact.

Of course, inside this boulder is Valt’s signature bomb magic.

Though a huge boulder suddenly appeared in the sky, because the battle was taking place over such a wide area, few people paid much attention to it.

However, Jerdin, watching from afar, exclaimed in amazement as he witnessed Valt’s actions.

“Huh!? Is that even possible? Is that guy an Arch Mage or something?”

“I don’t think he’s quite at that level. Judging by the platform magic being used by one of his female companions, it seems he’s casting magic from a platform.”

“Hmm… It’s impressive, but just because one of those falls…”

Baron had a calm expression, but he could immediately read Valt’s thoughts.

‘What a trick! That’s not a means of attack! It’s a warning! What matters is what comes next!’

“No, Commander. While it won’t cause significant damage to the orcs as a whole, I believe it could neutralize the artifact you mentioned.”

“Hmm… If a military man says so, let’s watch a bit longer.”

While Jerdin’s side was having this conversation, Valt’s magic was almost complete and ready to be launched.

“Lilith!! I’m going to throw the magic! When I jump, make a large platform!”

    “Yes, Lord Valt!”

    Whoosh!

With that shout, Valt steps firmly on the platform and leaps toward the massive rock he created.

Previously, the rock was too large for him to throw with all his might, but now it was a size that Valt could throw with full force toward the orc camp.

Of course, it was still the size of a house.

    Thud!!

    Rumble-

    Crunch-

    Crunch crunch crunch!

Valt’s arms swelled enormously, and the Gerung’s tremendous strength firmly secured the huge rock with both arms.

    “Now!!”

    Flash!

With Valt’s shout, a fairly large platform appeared right below him, and Valt stepped on it and threw the massive rock without hesitation.

“Of course! If you’re going to throw something, you need a platform! Here goes! Raaaah!!”

With Valt’s mighty roar, the rock he created began to plummet toward the orc camp.

    WHOOSH!!

The sound of the massive rock pushing through the air echoed, and the rock began to accelerate as it flew.

    “Take this!! Throwing Meteor!!”

    BOOM!!

After a moment, the rock broke the sound barrier, creating a sonic boom with tremendous noise, and now the boulder had completely left Valt’s hands.

    Rumble-

Simultaneously, Arias and Lilith raise both hands and shout.

    “Go!! Destruction magic!!!”
