Anyway, clans are good, that’s what I’m saying.

It’s not like I didn’t know that already.

As I mentioned earlier, I simply didn’t join one because of my personal trauma and habits.

“Commander, I think it’s time for you to overcome your past sorrows and move forward…!”

    “Hmm… you’re right.”

I figured that for the sake of my future, whether I liked it or not, I should join a proper clan.

But separate from that thought, we had one small problem…

“So, which clan can we join?”

“Hmm… how about Humanity, the biggest one? I heard they have an outpost just across the border!”

“They only accept members from the ‘Earth Federation.'”

    “Oh.”

Those guys are trying to transform the Earth Federation, which reminds me of the Star*leet Federation from “Galaxy Trek,” into something like the Hum*n Federation from that 4X sci-fi game.

There was no way they’d accept pirate riffraff or monster fanboys, so that was automatically out.

Then what about other major clans…

“Commander, how about the Justice Clan? I heard they accept members from any of the four factions?”

“They had an outpost nearby, but it was destroyed during the recent conflict between factions.”

The “Justice Clan,” which might have been the most reasonable option, unfortunately had their outpost destroyed.

Until they build a new outpost, they couldn’t exercise control over this airspace.

And because their sphere of influence had disappeared from this area, even if we wanted to join, there was no way to do so.

    And the remaining clan…

    “Hmm… the Loki Clan…”

“That would be difficult no matter what.”

    “You think so too, right?”

Even though we had the blackmail video of the self-proclaimed high school girl Betelgeuse-chan who leads that clan…

If we just went and asked to be accepted, would Betelgeuse really take us in?

Or would she accept us as clan members but try to use us instead?

Since she’s clearly much smarter than me, she might use whatever means available to fleece me.

Or she might want me to experience what she went through, so that was a pass.

And after going through all this, surprisingly, we realized that there was no clan for us to join in this area.

And it wasn’t because we were being picky, refusing to join mediocre clans.

We just wanted to join anywhere to gain even a small benefit.

But literally, there were NO clans in this area.

Jessica and I had to spend some time in deep contemplation, wondering what was going on.

    But that didn’t last long.

After searching through the gallery to solve this mystery…

We soon discovered that the cause was none other than our Marian…

Title: WTF Why is this crazy neighborhood always having factions fighting and causing chaos

    Author: Nassau

Content: [Image of hundreds of thousands of Pirate Union ships gathering, with 100,000 Earth Federation main fleet ships keeping watch nearby]

Seriously, WTF, one minute hundreds of thousands of pirate ships swarm in

Then when those bastards leave, Earth or Empire guys bring in fleets of 100,000 ships

Then monsters mobilize a million more and it’s just total chaos

Because of this crap, our clan’s headquarters has been blown up twice already

We’re thinking of moving the entire clan to another sector

We tried to hang on because the resource area was sweet, but…

-[Damn, I know exactly where that is LOL]

-[That place has always been accessible to all four factions, so it’s not easy to establish a clan there for real]

-[Like the comment above said, it’s a difficult place, so it’s your fault for building a clan there LOL]

Title: If you build a clan where this guy pointed out, you’re screwed LOL

    Author: Anonymous

Content: [Image of a sad toad]

That area itself is a border zone, so the tension is already high

Pirates keep emerging in large numbers and sweeping through the surrounding areas

And other factions also show up and fight back

If there’s a clan led by someone from the “opposing faction” in that area?

    They’ll immediately attack that clan

Just recently, the Justice Clan built an outpost there and got triple-teamed by monsters, empire, and earth forces before fleeing

Even the #1 clan Humanity tried to take that airspace, got hit once, was driven away

Then built an outpost in a sector further from the frontline

But even then, other faction fleets keep crawling into that sector and causing trouble

    Comments:

-[Because of this, there are no clans there, let alone large ones]

-[These bastards always attack clans first if they’re in the surrounding area]

    ‘Oh my goodness.’

The gallery responses were quite varied.

But to summarize, because Marian kept unleashing pirates to protect this area,

Other factions likewise deployed their fleets to protect their own interests.

In the process, all the surrounding clans were swept away, leaving only “individual” players.

    ‘Well, damn.’

Realizing that this area had literally become a “sanctuary for solo play,”

We also learned that, like it or not, it would be impossible to siphon resources through a clan in this neighborhood.

I felt a truly sad emotion washing over me.

Of course, I wasn’t going to blame Marian for this.

‘Tsk, weaklings. As a player, you should be able to endure NPC offensives and hold out.’

Despite the fact that it was realistically impossible to defend against such scale, I blamed the “weak” clans.

I decided to give up on resource buffs through clans, unfortunately.

But with this thought in mind, I opened the chat window after a long time.

Wondering how other solo rankers obtained their resources, I casually decided to ask.

Of course, at the ranker level, how much resources one acquires is basically kept secret.

So if they didn’t want to tell me, I wasn’t planning to pry further…

    -[Yeah](Laura)

Somehow everyone seemed to be doing better than me.

Thanks to Mr. Golden Sun who shared quite enthusiastically, I was able to get very useful information about not just resource gathering, but also running a plunder economy and working as a mercenary.

So I was about to thank him for sharing this information and mention that I might try mercenary work once my fleet was rebuilt…

-[But why aren’t you in the solo room?](Indefatigable)

    -[?](Icarus)

-[There’s a chat room for solo players, but I’ve never seen you talking there](Indefatigable)

    -[Yeah](Laura)

    -[???](Icarus)

-[Wait, did you not know about it?](Menaldo)

Seeing the next messages in the chat window,

I started to wonder if perhaps I was being excluded.
