Ch.1414. Hound of Vengeance
by fnovelpia
After entrusting this sanctuary to Lisa, I began to modify this Blood Sanctuary that had newly become my temple.
The Blood Sanctuary, with its dome-shaped structure featuring passages at 45° intervals and my divine statue placed in the center, is considered one of the conquerable areas ranked as a 1.5-tier stronghold in the game.
To explain the reason simply:
The seven passages that aren’t yet connected to other locations can be linked to any desired stronghold without issue. If you place other strongholds throughout the continent, you can gain an overwhelming advantage in war when your power grows later.
But apart from this overpowered characteristic…
It’s not really a suitable place for someone to live, but… Lisa has to live here while guarding it.
Therefore, I spent a bit of faith to create a living space for her in the underground area of the sanctuary.
This facility, structured like a typical South Korean two-room apartment with modern amenities, was created using the same method I used when decorating my divine realm.
The reason I can edit space using faith is because this Blood Sanctuary actually exists in an isolated space within my divine realm.
Anyway, after my second apostle was appointed,
I smiled pleasantly at Lisa, whose eyes widened at the sight of the underground space, and decided to take care of the task I had been postponing.
That task was creating new divine magic and miracles.

Currently, I need to create a total of five exclusive divine spells and miracles right away.
One Level 1 spell, two Level 2 spells, one Level 3 spell, and one miracle expanded upon becoming a lesser god.
I’d like to create all 15 spells, but considering other divine aspects I might acquire in the future, I decided to create just these for now.
First, I decided on a healing spell for the Level 1 magic.
This spell called ‘Blood of Life’ is inspired by the imagery of life-giving blood.
When activated, it summons blood with the efficacy of a Level 1 HP recovery potion at a designated location.
Regular potions not only need to be drunk but are also very expensive, and yet their recovery ability isn’t particularly outstanding…
Nevertheless, they’re one of the few non-faith-based recovery methods that must be used if you’re not in a faith-based profession.
But the potion created by this spell activates just by touching the skin, has power similar to Level 1 holy water,
and its recovery amount is about 80% of other Level 1 healing spells.
It does lose its effect after an hour and returns to normal blood…
But if you’re determined to store it, you can spend money equivalent to a potion’s price, and normal blood would clearly be an advantage (emergency food) for vampire followers.
For the exclusive Level 2 divine spells, I’m thinking of one enchantment spell and one defensive spell.
The enchantment spell, unlike the Level 1 magical weapon enchantment, is called ‘Armor of Revenge’ and is cast on armor.
It grants the option to reflect 20-30% of received damage—commonly called the thorn armor option.
It fits well with the concept of revenge, and I was able to create it without issue despite it being a high-tier effect that far exceeds the Level 2 standard.
For the defensive spell, rather than creating something original, I just borrowed a highly-rated spell from vampire blood magic.
Called ‘Blood Shield,’ it’s a high-tier spell that creates a floating red shield made of blood that blocks one attack. Because of its ability to block even the strongest attack at least once, it’s a spell that every vampire character adopts without fail.
The much-anticipated Level 3 spell is also borrowed from blood magic… but it’s not as impressive as one might expect.
‘Blood Bullet’ is the blood magic version of the water-attribute attack spell ‘Water Bullet’ from elemental magic. At first glance, one might wonder why it’s a Level 3 spell.
Despite being a Level 3 spell where full-fledged area-of-effect spells like Fireball exist, its power is only at Level 2 attack spell level,
and unlike the Magical Arrow series that fires multiple shots, it only fires a single bullet.
But this is only when looking at its offensive aspect.
Near-zero cooldown allowing rapid fire, very low MP consumption, casting time of less than a second, and minimum casting difficulty.
Being Level 3, it’s free from the passive abilities that nullify low-level (1-2) magic often carried by high-level monsters—it’s essentially a premium basic attack for mages.
And now all that remains is to create a miracle—
I decided to create a summoning miracle.

In Dungeon & Adventure games, summoning magic and skills play a crucial role.
If you’re not creating companions in your scenario, backline classes absolutely need tank summons,
and even close-combat classes like warriors or paladins will sacrifice an accessory slot to bring along a healer or buff summon.
Even though their performance is clearly inferior unless you’re in a related profession, the benefits are worth it.
Even in party play, monster summoning abilities are considered essential,
because the performance of summonable monsters is mostly excellent.
A mage’s elemental spirit summons are excellent tanks immune to most non-magical attacks and elemental damage dealers,
while golems, despite their endgame-level production costs, are essentially Tier 1 meat shields/tanks once you manage to craft or buy one and form a summoning contract.
Druid-type animal/beast summons are solid meat shields and physical damage dealers,
and can simultaneously form a powerful front line with plant-type summons or receive support from fairy-type summons’ druid magic.
Black mage types actually specialize more in summoning demons or fallen angels than in magic itself,
so they can even form parties consisting entirely of demons or fallen angels.
Necromancers are famous for their undead summoning abilities, but to be precise,
they mainly create undead from corpses rather than summoning them.
And clergy types, as might be expected, can mainly summon angels… and these summoned angels generally boast high combat power.
They typically wear heavy armor, giving them robust defense, can reinforce their durability with physical or magical resistance,
and their ability to use various divine spells and their god’s exclusive divine magic is another highly valued aspect of angels.
However, these high-performing angels are unfortunately not available to evil deity clergy.
Instead, evil deity clergy can summon demons, fallen angels, or customized minions, depending on what their god chooses.
The characteristic of demons is versatility.
Small monsters, large monsters, mount-type monsters, warriors, archers, mages, assassins, even doctors (healers).
They can summon a few demons chosen by their god from among almost all demons, or demons related to their evil deity’s divine aspect.
The lineup is so diverse that black mage types are said to be able to form full parties with demons.
Fallen angels, on the other hand, have greatly reduced defense in exchange for overwhelming close combat ability and high agility…
To put it bluntly, they’re just bad characters.
But since fallen angels maintain their angelic appearance while increasing the exposure of their attire,
many players fall for the temptation of the production team’s amazing dot illustrations and choose fallen angels despite their somewhat dubious performance.
And the summon I’ll choose is the customized minion.
I plan to allow summoning minions related to my divine aspect, and for this, I’ve completed a summoning miracle.
This miracle called ‘Avenge Supporter’
basically summons minions whose performance is adjusted according to a limit cost (similar to population in RTS games) that increases with one’s rank or level.
For example, even if it’s the same lesser (rank 7-9) minion, when summoned by a novice priest,
it would barely exceed rank 9 and might even be degraded to rank 10…
But if I directly intervene in the summoning, it would be rank 7 with all abilities maximized.
Also, as long as it fits within the limit cost, you can give up one high-ranking minion to summon dozens of low-ranking ones,
or sacrifice hundreds of low-ranking minions for a high-ranking one, and you can even increase the limit cost itself by offering blood as a sacrifice.
Of course, there’s no need for high-ranking minions yet, so I decided to create a lesser minion first—
My lesser minion was given the name ‘Revenge Hound’.
