Ch.140A Peaceful Yet Passionate Holiday

Last night’s raid on the Black Heart Gang’s hideout concluded in what could be called a success.

The Guard suffered only 11 casualties with minor to moderate injuries, while the Black Heart outlaws, from the lowest ranks to the boss, were all killed in the explosion—with the sole exception of Remi’s husband.

The drug supplier known as “Gentleman” transformed into an unidentified non-human species and fled, leaving the dungeon behind, but we reported to the Guard that he had died in the explosion like the other members. This was because there was too much sensitive information—the three-eyed non-human, the special ability to create dungeons, and the proper noun “Armedia”—that seemed unwise to disclose.

Fortunately, thanks to the unusual gun and drug-filled bag that Gentleman left behind, our testimony wasn’t questioned, and the dungeon entrance that appeared there was treated as something the gang had discovered and concealed.

Apparently, when a new dungeon entrance is discovered, it’s customary for the first discoverer to report it to the New Continent Pioneer Administration. Since Remi, the gang’s only survivor, doesn’t have a Frontier License, we, as the next discoverers, acquired the rights of discovery.

Meanwhile, Remi accepted the news of her husband’s death with surprising composure. It seems she never expected a happy ending once they got involved with drugs, and having witnessed the death of the female outlaw who had been cleansed of the drug’s effects, she had already resigned herself to the fact that her husband couldn’t survive either.

In this case, Remi was treated as a victim of gaslighting and a well-intentioned whistleblower. Her 18 years with the gang were considered unavoidable since she was born and raised there. She hadn’t directly participated in serious crimes and had provided crucial information to the Guard, contributing decisively to their complete roundup. For the time being, she’ll cooperate with the Guard’s follow-up investigation in Northern Fortress, but afterward, she’ll receive training at the Pioneer Branch in Atelier, obtain a Frontier License, and live as a legitimate citizen.

The five of us returned to Atelier and, after reporting the series of events to the Pioneer Branch, decided to take some leisurely time for rest and reorganization until the dungeon entrance opens. The defense of Northern Fortress against the gang’s attack, participation in the gang subjugation operation, recovery of new drug samples, and the discovery of a new dungeon entrance—our significant achievements were rewarded with thousands of gold in prize money and license promotions for Mina and Phyllis.

With that money, we threw a lavish party, and at night, I enjoyed passionate moments with Jessica and Seti. After about two weeks since leaving Riverside, embracing their bodies was still fantastic, and both Jessica and Seti unleashed their long-suppressed desires, launching a combined assault beyond imagination.

On the second day, the four of us, including Mina, watched movies together, explored cafes, and bought ingredients to make various Earth-style dishes using the crafting tablet. My experience trying different recipes through the internet and TV synergized well with the crafting tablet—especially pizza, pasta, and yogurt smoothies, which were very well-received. Discovering that even dishes requiring fermentation or aging could be completed instantly was a significant achievement.

My partner for the second night was Phyllis. Unlike Jessica or Seti, who naturally flow into threesomes, Phyllis prefers one-on-one encounters with me. Given her sexual preference for role-playing, it seems it will be some time before she enjoys sharing a bed with Jessica or Seti and me.

“Haah… yesterday was really amazing too.”

“I’m glad you were satisfied. Though I was quite surprised when you fainted midway.”

    “Shut up… idiot.”

Phyllis lightly punches my chest with a powerless fist.

Her sexual preferences are quite peculiar—she strongly favors situations that would typically appear in adult novels. Yet despite this, after I played along with her roleplaying once or twice, she melted completely, losing her senses and surrendering entirely to depravity. It’s just… ahem.

“Come to think of it, Phyllis, you said you could only bear my children forever.”

“Yes. My body became fully capable while we were in Nidavellir.”

“So is there a possibility you got pregnant from last night?”

“No. Elven women can only conceive in places touched by the power of the World Tree. If Will wants, next time when we visit some sacred ground, we could, um, have relations…”

“No, no, I’m not suggesting we do it right away. We still need to rescue your sister, and it would be a shame to have a child and retire so soon after becoming adventurers.”

“I chose you with the resolve that I wouldn’t regret it even if that happened.”

    “Huh…?”

My heart warmed at Phyllis’s sudden bombshell declaration. Is she saying she wants my child even if it means giving up on rescuing her sister who turned into a Dark Elf and saving the future of the sacred grounds?

“Of course, I have no intention of giving up on rescuing my sister or inheriting the Elder position at the Willow Sanctuary. But even so, if you want me as your partner, as a woman… even if I have to pause adventuring until the child is weaned, I want to respond to your feelings.”

    “Phyllis…”

“I told you, didn’t I? That you’re the love that will fill my 300 years…”

    *kiss*

The soft touch of Phyllis’s lips against mine electrifies my mind. Stroking her silken golden hair, caressing her fair white cheek, and gently touching her long ears—which makes her twitch and moan—her reactions are so lovable.

    “Mmm… *slurp*… ahh, my ears are sensitive…”

    *knock knock knock*

“Will, it’s me. Can I come in now?”

Just as the calm atmosphere was heating up again, Jessica’s voice came from outside, knocking on the door, freezing us both in place. Phyllis, startled, wrapped herself in the blanket, while I awkwardly didn’t know what to do. The atmosphere suddenly felt like I’d been caught cheating with a mistress while leaving my wife behind.

“Will? Phyllis? Are you not in there?”

“Ah, wait a moment. I haven’t dressed yet.”

“Are you still at it? Don’t bully Phyllis too much.”

Hurriedly putting on clothes, I opened the door to find Jessica, who had been looking out the corridor window, entering the room with quick steps. She had definitely said she would be holed up at the Pioneer Branch from morning for magic book editing…

Perhaps my thoughts showed on my face, because Jessica lightly poked the tip of my nose and teased me.

“What’s with that look? You’re all tense like you’ve been caught cheating… Sorry, Phyllis. I didn’t mean to interrupt, but something important came up.”

“It-it’s fine. But what’s this important matter?”

“Director-General Geronimo has come to Atelier to meet us. He’s invited all five of us to dinner tonight.”

    “Gero…who? The name sounds familiar.”

“He’s the highest-ranking person in the New Continent Pioneer Administration. He was briefly mentioned when Seti’s news appeared in the newspaper, remember?”

“Ah, the Western Morning, was it?”

He was the figure who left a message hoping that the relationship between pioneers and the Yamyo tribe would improve with Seti’s debut as an adventurer. As the head of the New Continent Pioneer Administration, he must be one of the highest-ranking individuals in Grantis.

“An invitation from such an important person… do we have the option to decline?”

“Not necessarily, but dinner with the Director-General isn’t something even famous businesspeople or A-rank adventurers get invited to easily. The fact that he specifically invited us means he must have something important to discuss.”

“So there’s no need to make a bad impression by declining.”

Even in fantasy works, meetings with high-ranking guild officials or lords often become turning points that greatly influence future activities. Simply from a networking perspective, there’s no reason to miss an opportunity to become acquainted with the Director-General of the Pioneer Administration.

“But Jessica, don’t we need formal attire for such an occasion?”

“Don’t worry about that. They wouldn’t expect elaborate dress from adventurers invited on the same day, and it’s a dinner invitation, not a ball or social party. Renting appropriate formal wear from a dress shop should be sufficient.”

“Then I should shower quickly and head out to find a dress shop. Phyllis, would you like to shower first?”

“No, you go first, Will. My hair takes longer to wash.”

“Why don’t you shower together? Since I interrupted at a good moment, I can understand if it takes a bit longer.”

    “Wh-what are you saying?! Ahem.”

Phyllis blushes and becomes embarrassed at Jessica’s explosive comment.

Showering together… hmm. I should definitely try that when the opportunity arises.
