# ‘The Flame Dragon Sword’
Also known as the Divine Flame Dragon Sword. Sei-eorin’s innate blessing allowed her to read the memories contained within the sword.
*Whoosh-*
As the memories transmitted through the sword became clearer, the flames covering Sei-eorin’s entire body subsided. However, the heat remained, lingering around her.
Her white hair rippled like a heat haze in the intense warmth.
The Flame Dragon Sword and the Ice Dragon Sword were originally twin swords born from a single blade. Each was a treasure capable of demonstrating tremendous power when used alone, but when wielded together, they could draw out their true strength.
However, except for the original owner, the Starlight Girl, no one had ever possessed or used both swords simultaneously. The opposing attributes of the spiritual energy contained within each sword rejected such attempts.
After countless eons, the two swords were reunited. Both accepted Sei-eorin without rejection.
But actually using them was another matter entirely.
‘This might be too much for me.’
Sei-eorin experimentally drew the Ice Dragon Sword with her left hand. The blue blade slid out with a *shing* sound, scattering intense cold.
“Ugh…”
*Hissss-!*
The moment she gripped both swords simultaneously, a faint groan escaped Sei-eorin’s lips as white steam erupted from her body. This was caused by the conflicting energies of the Ice Dragon Sword and Flame Dragon Sword colliding within her.
The two swords possessed the power to forcibly change the user’s mana attribute. When used simultaneously, the mana would split into two attributes.
Mana of different natures repels each other strongly. In other words, the mana inside Sei-eorin’s body, now divided into two attributes, began to run wild. The colliding mana throughout her body created small explosions and rapidly dissipated.
‘How did anyone ever manage to use these together…’
The current Sei-eorin couldn’t even begin to guess. It felt like having a bomb implanted in her body. She hastily released the two swords from her grip. The Ice Dragon Sword spun in midair before returning to its scabbard on its own, while the Flame Dragon Sword remained suspended, radiating intense heat.
“Have you made your choice?”
Jack Churchill asked. After a moment’s consideration, Sei-eorin took the scabbard from where the Flame Dragon Sword had been displayed and sheathed the sword.
*Click-*
The heat that had filled the room instantly subsided. Sei-eorin nodded.
“Yes.”

The Karma Empire Knights’ Tournament concluded successfully. It was also a moment when the empire’s overwhelming military might was once again impressed upon the world.
A week had passed since the end of the tournament. Sei-eorin was crossing the border on horseback. During the tournament, she had been promoted to senior member.
This meant that senior member duties were now pouring in for her.
From the senior member level, most missions were carried out alone. That was why Sei-eorin was moving by herself.
A single horse carrying a small girl galloped across the green plains.
Throughout her journey to her destination, Sei-eorin encountered new people. She met more people than usual. Even from a distance, those who detected Sei-eorin’s presence approached her first.
“A girl in Blue Wing uniform with goddess-like beauty… You must be Lady Sei-eorin.”
“Lady Sei-eorin, could you spare a moment of your time?”
They didn’t approach with negative emotions. There were various complex reasons, but most were friendly. Normally, she would have calmly accommodated such people. Sharing a campfire wasn’t a difficult thing to do.
However, Sei-eorin turned away everyone who approached. If they didn’t leave, she would place her hand on her sword and emit a sharp aura. Faced with this fierce and sensitive demeanor, people had no choice but to turn away.
The Karma Empire’s Knights’ Tournament had recently ended. Many people were wandering near the border.
Sei-eorin was on edge. It was because of the Flame Dragon Sword. To get accustomed to it, she kept her hand on the sword even while riding, circulating hot mana throughout her body.
Sei-eorin was naturally weak to heat. The sweltering warmth, completely different from the cold chill of her homeland, dulled her senses. It was like having a terrible cold.
Sei-eorin continued her journey in this state.
***
Sei-eorin’s journey lasted for about two months. This meant she had been wrapped in scorching heat, as if suffering from a terrible cold, for two months.
As a result, Sei-eorin was extremely uncomfortable. Her mana, responding to her emotions, frequently leaked out, emitting intense heat. When her hair began to waver like a heat haze in response to the heat, flames would inevitably rise from her surroundings.
*Rustle-*
Sei-eorin, with her hand on her sword, looked up at the vast forest. It was a place with a denser life force than an ordinary forest. The trees grew as if reaching for the sky, and when the occasional cool breeze caressed her cheeks, a pleasant fragrance followed.
The Forest of Life
This was the domain of the elves. She had heard that permission from a forest keeper was required to enter the territory of another race. Sei-eorin sat down on a rock at the entrance of the forest.
She was waiting for a forest keeper. They would naturally come if she waited here.
The wide rock cooled the heat from her entire body. It was a pleasant coolness. It didn’t take long for Sei-eorin to stretch out on the rock.
As Sei-eorin was cooling down, faint presences appeared from the forest with a gentle breeze. Sei-eorin sensed them approaching but didn’t get up.
She wanted to feel the coolness of the rock a little longer.
“You’re wearing a Blue Wing uniform. Are you the knight sent by the Karma Empire?”
They recognized her without introduction. Sei-eorin slightly raised her head to look up at the trees. There, a beautiful woman with long golden hair stood on a branch.
A faint trace of wind could be felt from her entire body. Looking up at her, Sei-eorin thought absently.
Her ears are quite long.
Not just her ears. Her arms and legs were also elongated, suggesting proficiency in all kinds of martial arts. She was said to be beautiful, but Sei-eorin found it hard to agree with this assessment.
‘I’m better.’
Sei-eorin stood up and said:
“I am Sei-eorin of the Blue Wing of the Karma Empire. I’ve come to deal with a reincarnator…”
When Sei-eorin showed the Karma Empire’s emblem, the rest of the hidden personnel revealed themselves. They moved with remarkable lightness, stepping on branches while wrapped in wind.
-Is she really human?
-She might have some of our clan’s blood.
-Judging by the scent of wind, it seems about right…
The whispering didn’t last long. Soon after, all the forest keepers jumped to the ground. Despite the considerable height, there was no sound of landing.
The woman who appeared to be the leader of the forest keepers spoke:
“By the authority of the forest keepers, I grant you permission to enter.”
The female elf’s voice carried a strange power. It seemed to be a unique magic exclusive to elves. The entire forest was stirred by the wind.
Simultaneously, the forest began to change shape. The overall appearance remained the same, but the densely grown trees at the entrance of the forest bent, creating an exceptionally wide forest path.
“Come in.”
Sei-eorin was immediately guided to the central city of the forest. The Forest of Life, where the elves lived, was an incredibly beautiful place. Looking at the flora and fauna living in harmony with the soft-colored mana gave a sense of physical and mental peace.
However, there was no time to appreciate such things. Sei-eorin had come to complete a mission, to eliminate a reincarnator. Without even taking a rest, she headed straight to the scene of the incident.
The place she arrived at was the edge of the forest.
It was a place with strange mana flow. Though sharing the same space, it felt like crossing into a completely different dimension. Even the sunlight pouring down from the open sky didn’t reach this place.
“It’s not just here. This phenomenon is occurring throughout the Forest of Life… Personnel dispatched from the Empire and the Magic Tower say it’s not magic of this world…”
Before the forest keeper elf could finish speaking, Sei-eorin walked forward and drew the sword from her back. The main reason she had been dispatched to this location was because of her sword, known as the Mage Killer.
It was a sword with the power to shatter magic itself. That’s why the Blue Wing had sent Sei-eorin.
The ink-black blade was drawn, absorbing the sunlight. Simultaneously, Sei-eorin swung the sword.
*Whoosh-!*
The great slash absorbed the surrounding mana in an instant. As the strange mana covering the space was cleared away, the disconnected space instantly regained its original color.
‘One swing isn’t enough?’
Then she would simply swing again. Just as Sei-eorin thought this and swung her sword once more, the space distorted, and a terrible scream was heard.
-Keeeeeeek!
