    Ch.1313. The Blood-Soaked Vampire Saint

    ‘Blood, war and violence, ············vampire?’

I was momentarily taken aback by the acquisition of divine attributes I hadn’t expected at all—I thought I’d inherit a blood deity or something similar.

While inwardly expressing my sincere gratitude to ■■■ for bestowing such a blessing upon me, I was examining the four new divine attributes I had obtained.

I was already well aware of the blood attribute, but the other three divine attributes would also become my flesh and blood.

All three possess their own excellent characteristics.

War and violence might seem to have low percentages, but….

In truth, even at those levels, they’re major attributes that can bring meaningful changes to me.

Violence, which will never disappear as long as living beings exist, and war, which is optimal for gaining faith and expanding a religious order’s influence.

The combination of these two attributes not only provides advantages as a god but is optimal for cultivating my divinity—that is, my power as a god.

Additionally, they complement the vengeance attribute I already possessed, so I would have needed to acquire them eventually anyway.

There was nothing bad about obtaining them now.

Meanwhile, the vampire attribute was something I truly hadn’t expected—more precisely, I hadn’t even known such an attribute existed.

As what’s commonly called a racial divine attribute, most gods in the main timeline possess their respective racial attributes. For instance, gods affiliated with the Elven Pantheon would share the elven attribute among themselves.

Apart from possessing 100% of it, it doesn’t seem particularly unusual.

However, this attribute being that of vampires—undead—was considered impossible in the original game.

The undead race, by its basic characteristics, couldn’t have clerical professions because “gods of the undead” didn’t exist.

According to the game’s lore, this was because gods who grant peace in the afterlife feel revulsion toward the undead, whose souls are completely bound to the material plane.

But the reason I could obtain this undead—or more precisely, vampire—attribute is….

Probably because higher-level vampires increasingly deviate from undead characteristics, and at some point, they become closer to “vampires” as a unique independent species rather than undead.

Anyway, becoming the sole deity of a race allows me to automatically claim the souls of deceased members of that race who don’t strongly believe in another specific god, which is beneficial. But honestly, I was focused on something else.

‘Wait… could this mean vampire paladins are possible?’

It means I could cultivate vampire clerics—a profession impossible in Dungeon & Adventure but frequently created as mods due to its excellent synergy.

Paladins or priests with troll-level regeneration and the HP absorption ability that high-level vampires can grant.

Even if they couldn’t self-heal—no, since clerics are immune to divine attacks from priests serving the same god, they could self-heal, making them even more broken.

The synergy between clerical professions—considered overpowered in the game for handling healing, damage, and tanking alone—and the equally versatile vampire race would be top-tier.

    And also……..

    ‘—Ah, I forgot.’

At that moment, I suddenly remembered that in my excitement over the newly acquired divine attributes, I had momentarily forgotten about Lisa.

And simultaneously recalling that I was currently in the middle of the Blood Sanctuary, I finally looked around—

“Thank you for your grace, noble Ma-Duk… noble Ma-Duk… noble Ma-Duk… noble Ma-Duk…”

Below me, Lisa, who had somehow entered the Blood Sanctuary, was praying to a massive statue of me positioned at the God’s Eye—or more precisely, at the same location as the God’s Eye—surrounded by an ominous aura.

In the center of the Blood Sanctuary—now under my control after inheriting the divine attributes—a perfect circular chamber with marble walls, red carpets, and eight pathways radiating outward, she was kneeling, enveloped in a red aura that even I would describe as ominous.

It appears that Lisa has ascended to the highest rank among the seven vampire classes—a Blood Noble vampire.

From the rank 10 and 9 Vampire Zombies, little more than moving corpses with blood-sucking abilities…

To the rank 8 Vampire Ghouls, typically used as soldiers or subordinates by vampires…

To the rank 7 Lesser Vampires, almost inferior versions of vampires…

The rank 6 Vampires, similar to what’s commonly portrayed in media…

And the rank 5 Greater Vampires, which begin to transcend undead status…

The rank 4 to 3 True Blood Vampires, ultra-high-level vampires mentioned earlier…

And finally, the rank 2 Blood Noble Vampires, the pinnacle of all vampires…

Among these seven vampire classes, Lisa has now reached the incredible position of a rank 2 Blood Noble Vampire, the finest of her kind.

A demi-god among vampires, freed from almost all the disadvantages of her kind.

Anyway, while she is currently the most powerful force I can deploy, I’m not the kind of trash god who would send an inexperienced child to the frontlines.

However… leaving such a powerful rank 2 believer idle would be wasteful, so after some consideration, I decided to assign her the role of guarding this Blood Sanctuary.

    《Raise your head, my child.》

    “……..Lord Ma-Duk?”

《You have admirably fulfilled the role I entrusted to you.》

    “I-I am unworthy!”

To Lisa, who was kneeling and looking up at me with reverence, rather than saying something that might diminish my dignity—rambling on—I sent blessings through the divine channel connected to her soul.

No, to be precise, they weren’t just blessings.

    “T-This is……….”

    《Congratulations on becoming a Saint, my child.》

I appointed her to the highest support/divine service profession—a high-ranking position that can only be granted directly by a god.

I made her a Saint, a minimum rank 2 profession called Seongja for men and Seongnyo for women.

The Saint profession, one of the paths to the only rank 1 divine service profession commonly known as Pope or Patriarch, is essentially the final tier of rear-line clerical professions like priests or clerics.

Its inherent benefits include being able to use 5 more blessings per day than others, a 40-60% reduction in MP consumption for divine magic, an increased capacity for receiving blessings, and improved healing amounts and buff spell ratios.

It was certainly worthy of being considered the ultimate support profession—one that must be recruited in any scenario involving defeating a demon lord.

“To bestow such a blessing upon me……..”

Having granted her such power all at once, Lisa was trembling and fidgeting, not knowing how to react.

But such a reaction was premature for what I had in mind.

I still had plenty of gifts left to give her.

Through our connection, I sent her appropriate blessings.

These were blessings that normally wouldn’t be considered very good—they constantly apply mental debuffs while enhancing MP and spell casting speed.

But for a vampire, these penalties are practically nonexistent thanks to the undead passive skill of mental debuff immunity.

So as my power entered her body and strengthened her, our adorable Saint smiled ecstatically, and finding this quite heartwarming to watch, I spoke to her as I bestowed my final gift.

    《My Saint, my child.》

    “……..Yes!”

    《Receive the power I bestow upon you.》

Through her mind, I imparted a portion of my power, appointing her to the position of apostle—a position that had gained one more slot when I became a lesser god.

    “I, I… I wonder if I am worthy of such h-honor……..”

《You are more than qualified, my second apostle.》

This is simply following a strategy considered standard in the game—appointing at least one immortal race member as an apostle—but to Lisa, who doesn’t yet fully understand her own value, it’s merely an overwhelming honor.

《How could I neglect you when you must protect this sanctuary?》

So when I spoke to her in a way that would ease her burden, suggesting I had a task for her—

“Lisa Raeldotir (Daughter of Rael), I shall without fail carry out Lord Ma-Duk’s command.”

She bowed respectfully toward my divine statue where I resided, speaking with devout sincerity.
