    Ch.125Completion Afterword

    Hello, this is Ereon.

Finally, “The God Who Abandoned Me Is Now Obsessed” has reached its conclusion.

With this, I’ve now completed a total of six works.

As always, whenever I write a conclusion review, I’m not sure what to address first.

Side story announcements? Words of gratitude? Shortcomings? Satisfying aspects? Personal matters?

I have so much to say, but it feels like I’m losing structure.

First, I should address the shortcomings.

Well, this is something I felt while writing.

I think the protagonist’s growth was far too rapid.

More precisely, he wasn’t growing at all, and then I made him skyrocket with a sudden development in the latter part.

I consider this a limitation of my skills as an author.

In truth, many stories were omitted from the main narrative.

Especially when writing the scene where Radios suddenly awakens his Divine Order and bursts onto the scene, even I wondered if this was the right approach.

Also, I know I skipped too many scenes of the Ascended Order awakening.

If I may offer an excuse…

Those omitted scenes, no matter how I thought about them, seemed like they would follow a similar format to my previous works.

I’ve completed a total of 5 works so far, writing approximately 700 episodes.

And among all these episodes, I believe there isn’t a single episode with a duplicate format. Except for side stories.

But perhaps due to the side effects of simultaneous serialization, whenever I tried to write episodes about the protagonist’s growth in this work, I kept thinking of episodes from my previous works.

“If I go this way, won’t it be similar to my previous work? Even though it’s my own work, is it okay to write the same thing?”

Of course, my writing style can naturally be the same…

But I really didn’t want to present readers with episodes in the same format.

That’s probably why there were many rushed developments in the latter part.

I had already established the overall framework, and if you saw how all the foreshadowing was resolved at the very end… you probably thought the overall structure was in place.

The problem was that settings from my previous works were trying to squeeze into the process of reaching this framework.

So I deleted and reconsidered many times.

I even wondered if I should take a long hiatus and come back after some recovery.

Human imagination has its limits, and since June 2021 until now, I haven’t taken more than 5 hiatuses while writing.

Of course, there were days when I wrote 2 episodes, days when I wrote 3, and days when I didn’t write at all.

The problem is that because of this, I don’t think I properly took care of my condition.

I tried my best to present the story in the best way possible while writing… but the rushed development was a limitation.

As mentioned earlier, I considered increasing the volume to resolve this rushed development…

But no matter how I thought about it, the extended sections would likely become loose, so I ultimately decided to omit them.

Nevertheless, I can only express my deepest gratitude to the readers who have followed me this far.

Well, let me conclude my shortcomings here.

This is a place to share thoughts on the conclusion, not to mention personal concerns, right?

Next, let me talk about the side stories.

    I’m planning one side story.

Normally, I would have started serializing the side story after just one day of rest…

But as mentioned earlier, I want to give myself a brief rest.

Of course, I’m currently serializing a new work, but that’s fine because I’ve built up quite a stockpile.

So, when will I start the side story?

I’ll return after a week of rest.

During that time, I’ll thoroughly check the plot for the content to be covered in the side story and return with a work of better quality.

And unlike my previous works, the reason I’m only releasing one side story…

The two episodes that followed after the battle with Azathoth were essentially side story-level episodes.

I had to use the side story content in the main story.

To create a happy ending, I thought, “Let’s just put it in the conclusion of the main story.” That’s how the episodes “The World of Transcendents” and “What I Must Lose, What I Can Gain” were born.

So what will the side story cover?

It will likely be a simple slice-of-life.

Poseidon and Kraud’s wedding, Radios and Arsia’s wedding.

It will cover stories like Veichel ruling as an emperor and the story of the goblin tribe led by Brina.

Lastly, I want to express my gratitude to the readers as I conclude this work.

There were clearly many shortcomings even in my eyes, and you gave me a lot of constructive criticism…

The encouraging comments were also truly appreciated.

If it weren’t for the readers, I would have probably collapsed and fled with an announcement of discontinuation.

And I might have returned with a changed pen name.

It’s the readers who prevented me from doing that.

    I’m truly, inexpressibly grateful.

And for the very last point, I’d like to say:

Actually, writing 2 episodes a day? It’s not difficult.

The part I find most challenging is ensuring that similar episodes don’t appear in my previous works and current serializations.

Even when I tried to develop something, if it seemed familiar, it was a fragmented memory from my previous works.

Because of this… I realized what I want to do.

After the side story of this work ends, I plan to cover the stories of my previous works as a second part.

I thought it would be better to do what I want rather than stress myself out with another new work.

I plan to start serializing right after covering the side story of this work to the end.

I’ve already decided which work to serialize, so I’ll let you know in the side story conclusion review after everything is finished.

I express my deepest gratitude to the readers who have been with me until now, and with that, I’ll take my leave.
