I managed to get my hands on Betelgeuse’s home(?) video.

But since it was truly dangerous, I decided I couldn’t show it to the others.

After sealing the video in a vault deep inside my room, I decided to focus on finishing the event.

Of course, with only 3 days left.

No matter how hard I tried, I wouldn’t be able to earn nearly enough points or resources.

Apart from my efforts, I wondered what I should do after the event ended.

But while thinking about that, I suddenly realized I was missing something.

    “…Wait a minute, Marian?”

    “What is it, oppa?”

“If you demolished the Loki Clan’s leader like… that, did you also demolish all the clan’s users?”

    “Oh, that?”

Come to think of it, Marian hadn’t given me a single word of explanation about how she handled the clan.

Even if each user’s fleet currently doesn’t exceed 1,000 ships.

If a clan has over 10,000 users, that’s no joke—we’re talking about ‘ten million ships.’

If we had to face an enemy of that scale, even a massive faction like the Pirate Alliance.

Would need to deploy most of their available forces and member users.

Yet I hadn’t heard anything about that, so I wondered what was going on.

Seeing my worried expression, Marian waved her hand dismissively and continued speaking, saying there was no need to worry that much.

    “Don’t worry too much, oppa.”

    “Hmm.”

“Think about it. We just got leverage on the clan leader’s ‘weakness,’ right?”

At Marian’s words, I recalled ‘that video’ currently sealed in my room’s vault.

    “…Hmm.”

“And I only targeted that woman specifically, with pinpoint precision. I didn’t touch any of the other commanders or clan members.”

    “…”

Seeing her proudly proclaiming “I’m innocent!” made me worry that this might cause serious problems for my gaming life going forward…

But with Marian making such bold claims.

And Jessica and the others beside me showing positive reactions.

“Commander, I think as Marian planned… the Betelgeuse clan leader won’t oppress us as a clan.”

    “Hmm.”

    “I think so too, Commander.”

“After being defeated and suffering such humiliation… it would be awkward to continue activities around that topic, wouldn’t it?”

    “I guess so.”

Seeing everyone react that way, I nodded.

For the time being, regarding the Loki Clan… rather than doing anything specific.

I decided to keep my mouth shut and maintain silence.

And as if their words were true.

While our superhuman friends were out completing quests, I kept browsing the gallery alone.

But I couldn’t find any posts from the Loki Clan or Betelgeuse about this incident.

‘Ah, so there really isn’t any problem after all.’

After spending about a day continuously browsing the gallery and reaching that conclusion.

I decided to focus on the event for the remaining time, earning points and resources.

    ==========

    And now, two days later.

    <Ship Points: 697,004 points>

“Unfortunately, we couldn’t reach 700,000 points.”

    “That’s right, Commander, it’s a bit disappointing.”

Looking at the score display floating before me, I felt a slight bitterness.

‘If I had just done a bit more, I could have easily reached it.’

If I had cleared one or two more high-level quests per day, I might have reached 700,000-800,000.

Or if I hadn’t wasted resources on those light cruisers that were destroyed so easily…

    “That’s absolutely not true, Commander.”

    “Huh?”

“Thanks to you purchasing those ships and deploying them, we were able to fight evenly in that battle due to the firepower and defense of those light cruisers.”

    “Ah… yes, that’s right.”

As soon as I unconsciously muttered those words, Berial slid over.

And responded so seriously that I could only nod in agreement.

And in a way, fortunately… or rather.

This might be a somewhat mean-spirited thought.

But it seemed I wasn’t the only one agonizing over points.

Besides those, there were others who seemed to have lost their minds.

Amid the chaotic atmosphere of the gallery, I felt a strange satisfaction.

And about an hour had passed since I started browsing the gallery with these thoughts.

    “Everyone’s having similar reactions.”

    “What do you mean, Commander?”

“People crying out about the event ending.”

    “…I really don’t understand them.”

No matter how you look at it, they seemed too cheerful and positive to be people who were essentially “kidnapped and imprisoned” here.

Whenever I looked at the gallery or occasionally at other users.

I wondered if I might be in a situation fitting the so-called “dead internet theory.”

Like maybe all the other users except me were bots… you know?

Or maybe instead of a mass possession, I was the only one who possessed someone in this world.

But thinking about it, everyone seemed too lively for that to be true.

If that were the case, Betelgeuse wouldn’t have turned into mincemeat after taking Marian’s sincere punch in the “video.”

And other users wouldn’t be able to chat with me.

Dismissing these useless thoughts, I sat in the command seat.

Watching Pashtra and Partia complete the final event quest together, I decided to end things on a high note.

And exactly 3 seconds after clearing that final quest.

I finally saw the end notice for this long, and somehow strangely unmemorable event appear before my eyes.
