Ch.116116. The Beach

Day Two of the Rock Festival.

Suhyeok was in the middle of previewing songs from the bands scheduled to perform today on his phone.

After experiencing the first day, he could definitely feel it.

While it was nice to discover new bands and songs, if you wanted to truly enjoy the festival, it wasn’t a bad idea to prepare in advance.

Of course, he couldn’t learn the fan chants or cheering methods after just listening once or twice, but it still seemed much more helpful than going in completely unprepared.

As he focused on a music video with his wireless earbuds in…

    “Hi.”

Juyeon, who had arrived first, approached Suhyeok.

    “Hi.”

    “What are you doing?”

“Oh, just checking out some of the bands performing today.”

    “…I see.”

Juyeon sat down next to Suhyeok on the sofa.

She gently reached out and took one of the earbuds from his ear.

    “Hmm?”

    Suhyeok looked at her questioningly.

“…I want to watch with you.”

    “Ah… sure.”

Suhyeok and Juyeon each had one earbud in.

Juyeon, wearing hot pants, had her thigh pressed firmly against Suhyeok’s side.

Next to arrive was Choi Gang.

He spotted the two sitting close together and plopped down next to Juyeon.

    “What are you guys watching?”

“Music videos of the bands performing today.”

“Oh! I want to watch too!”

Juyeon had wanted to watch alone with Suhyeok but had no choice but to hand over the phone.

The Bluetooth connection could only go so far.

The three of them had to share the music and screen through the phone’s speaker.

    “Hey! Everyone’s up early!”

Seo-eun appeared wearing a baseball cap, along with Hana.

“Yeah. Should we get going now?”

    “Let’s go!”

The Spirit crew headed toward the bus stop.

Unlike yesterday, they had asked the owner about the bus schedule, which helped them avoid trial and error.

“So are we watching everything today? Or just a few acts?”

    “I want to see everything.”

    Hana expressed her opinion.

Of course, she was also nudging Suhyeok’s side with her elbow.

“I want to see everything too.”

In truth, this had been his plan even if Hana hadn’t suggested it.

    “What about Gang?”

“Hmm… I’ll just watch the bands I know.”

“I was thinking the same. What about you, Juyeon?”

    Everyone’s eyes turned to Juyeon.

Juyeon, who had positioned herself on Suhyeok’s left side, bypassing Hana.

“I want to stay until the end too.”

    Seo-eun’s gaze shifted to Suhyeok.

At this point, she could only hope that Suhyeok would handle the situation wisely.

    “Wow! Everyone’s so serious!”

Choi Gang was secretly surprised that these weaklings were planning to endure the scorching sun until the end.

“If we don’t see it now, when will we get another chance?”

Unless it was held in winter, Suhyeok probably wouldn’t attend another rock festival for two years.

“Alright! Then I’ll stay until the end too!”

“What? You too? Well, I guess I should stay too then.”

And so, the 23rd generation ended up watching all the performances.

By the time they left, everyone was drenched in sweat and completely exhausted.

“Hahaha… should we skip drinks tonight?”

The kids were in terrible shape.

Juyeon and Suhyeok had half-dead eyes.

    Hana looked extremely tired.

Gang seemed relatively fine, but even he didn’t appear too enthusiastic about going out for drinks.

    “Let’s do that.”

“Okay! Same time tomorrow, 10 o’clock?”

    Back in their separate rooms.

In the girls’ room, the process of distributing the single beds was underway again.

    “Rock!”

    “Paper!”

    “Scissors!”

    “Yes!”

    Seo-eun flashed a victory sign.

The outcome wasn’t much different from yesterday.

Seo-eun got a bed to herself.

Hana and Juyeon would share one bed.

Seo-eun, feeling a bit awkward, considered offering to switch, but at that moment, Hana wrapped her arms around Juyeon’s neck.

    “Juyeon.”

    “Yes?”

“You’re not going to abandon me and sleep with Seo-eun unnie tonight, right?”

    “…No.”

While it seemed like a gesture of friendliness, Juyeon felt Hana’s grip around her neck almost like a snake constricting.

Seo-eun said she’d shower first and went inside.

    “Juyeon.”

    “Yes.”

“Did you bring your swimsuit for tomorrow?”

    “Yes, I did.”

The Spirit crew had planned to move to a location near the beach for a day after the rock festival ended.

    “Let me see.”

Juyeon took out a plastic bag from her carrier.

Inside was a light green cover-up dress.

Unlike men’s beach swimwear, which is mostly unified as shorts, women’s swimwear comes in a wide variety.

There are too many types to simply call them all “bikinis,” and each different form helps greatly in complementing individual body shapes.

    “Oh, it’s pretty.”

    “…Really?”

Juyeon was secretly pleased by Hana’s compliment.

She had spent a lot of time searching for and selecting this swimsuit.

“I think it would have looked good with some frills too.”

    “That seemed too eye-catching.”

    “Mine is…”

Hana pulled out her swimsuit from her bag.

    The color alone was intimidating.

It also took up very little space, making it seem even more so.

    *Rustle*

As the tangled strings unraveled, a rather daring swimsuit appeared before Juyeon.

“A-are you really going to wear that?”

    “Yes. Why?”

    “Isn’t it too revealing?”

When spread out, it wasn’t extremely small in area.

But the cutouts in various places were intimidating.

“Hehe~ It’s fine~ This is why I work out, to show off at times like this.”

Hana proudly pressed her beloved abs.

It almost seemed like she was taunting Juyeon.

“Anyway, the beach tomorrow. It’s going to be so fun.”

    “Yeah.”

The two sitting side by side on the bed were imagining the same scene.

Playing in the water with Suhyeok while wearing swimsuits.

It was the quintessential beach vacation scene.

“Hey! Why are you two looking at swimsuits without me!”

Seo-eun, who had just come out, shouted when she saw the swimsuits still on the bed.

“Unnie, you’re taken, so you don’t need these things.”

“What? What does having a boyfriend have to do with swimsuits!”

“Wouldn’t Jaejun oppa complain if you wear something revealing?”

“…Actually, I got scolded about that already!”

Despite looking like a laid-back guitarist, Jaejun was quite conservative in these matters.

He had even made her return a bikini she had already purchased.

    “Look, isn’t it pretty though?”

What Seo-eun had prepared was a bikini, but it showed very little skin.

The cardigan worn over it blocked most of the exposure.

“Let’s take tons of photos tomorrow.”

    “Yes!”

“Juyeon, you have to take pictures too.”

    “I-in this outfit?”

    “Of course!”

Unlike the boys’ room where everyone had already drifted off to dreamland, the three girls stayed up late, making a fuss.

    * * *

    “The sea!”

Choi Gang, wearing a Hawaiian shirt, shouted loudly!

Even the other members, who would normally tell him to quiet down, all followed his lead.

    “Wow! It’s so beautiful!”

    “Photo! Photo! Photo!”

After moving locations and practically dumping their luggage at the accommodation, the members grabbed their bags and headed to the beach.

Clear skies without a single cloud.

It was the perfect weather for a vacation.

“There’s a changing room over there!”

The members rushed to where Seo-eun pointed.

As expected, the boys changed quickly and came out first.

“Do you think we can rent one of those parasols?”

“Looks like they’re renting them over there, let’s ask.”

Suhyeok and Choi Gang successfully rented and set up a parasol.

    “Great! This is awesome!”

They now had a generous shaded area to rest.

They had also rented a mat just in case.

    “I’m going in first then!”

    “Sure.”

Choi Gang was so excited that he ran straight toward the sea.

With his large frame running so energetically, the sand flew up with a “poof” sound, like an effect from a cartoon.

The first girl to change and come out was Juyeon.

Wondering where the boys had gone, she looked around until Suhyeok waved from under the parasol, and she headed in that direction.

    “Su-Suhyeok.”

    “Yes?”

Suhyeok, who had stayed to guard the parasol, turned his head toward Juyeon.

“Do… do you want some sunscreen?”

    Juyeon was acting shy.

Suhyeok thought she didn’t need to be so embarrassed.

After all, Juyeon’s swimsuit was a one-piece style that barely showed her midriff.

It was more cute than sexy.

She looked just like a doll.

“Oh, yes. That would be nice.”

Suhyeok held out his hand, but Juyeon shook her head.

    “I’ll apply it for you.”

    “Huh?”

“Your… back is hard to reach by yourself.”

It might be uncomfortable, but it’s not like he couldn’t reach it at all…

    “I think I can manage.”

Instead of answering, Juyeon squeezed a line of sunscreen onto her palm.

    “Let me help you, Suhyeok.”

Juyeon, who had received guidance from Seo-eun.

She naturally went behind Suhyeok and knelt down.

After spreading the sunscreen thinly on her fingers, Juyeon began to rub Suhyeok’s back.

His back had broadened somewhat from working out.

Juyeon thought the situation was a bit sensual but slowly ran her hands down Suhyeok’s back.

    “…Ugh!”

He had let her do it since she offered, but it felt too strange.

Every time Juyeon’s small, soft fingers traced his back, Suhyeok’s body twitched.

Her hands moved from his shoulders down, getting closer to his waist.

    “Suhyeok.”

    “…Yes.”

“Since I… applied this for you.”

“…Could you put some on my back later?”
