    Ch.115110 – Dawn

“I want to create my own magic too.”

Hiasen choked on his water, coughing repeatedly at Estasha’s declaration.

“Esha, come on, there are things in this world that are possible and things that aren’t—”

“Why do you think it’s impossible? Look at how many things I’ve accomplished.”

Esha stretched out her arms and gathered the scrolls scattered messily across the desk.

Hiasen chuckled as he watched her wobbling while carrying scrolls taller than herself, and helped lighten her load.

“What kind of magic do you want to create?”

    “Magic that incorporates swordsmanship.”

“But don’t we already have plenty of magic swordsmanship?”

“Swords that shoot fire or ice aren’t magic swordsmanship! That’s just using a sword to cast magic…”

“Hmm. I don’t really understand what you’re thinking, Esha.”

“I’m going to create magic that anyone can use with effort, even if they don’t have talent in magic or swordsmanship.”

“Are you perhaps referring to me when you mention lack of talent…?”

“You’re always getting beaten by Jade in magic and Fayran in swordsmanship.”

“That’s because they’ve been learning much longer than me…! I actually have way more talent!”

“It looks ugly when a man makes excuses, you know?”

“…So you borrowed all these books from the library for this magic?”

Hiasen asked while dusting off the books.

They were texts about pendulum motion and building materials, seemingly unrelated to magic.

Esha narrowed her eyes and snatched the book away.

    “That’s none of your business.”

“You’ve been really cold to me lately. I’m starting to feel hurt.”

    “Whatever.”

“Aren’t you going to continue learning swordsmanship? Wouldn’t all your training so far go to waste?”

“I’m done with swordsmanship. There are already three people above me learning it, so there’s no need for me too.”

“But Marquis Bastion said you have the most talent among us. Honestly, I agree with that opinion—”

“If I do swordsmanship, what will you do?”

    “Huh?”

“Are you going to be my porter? You’re a prince, after all.”

Esha turned around abruptly. The scroll at the edge of her arms rolled to the floor.

Hiasen picked it up and examined its contents.

It showed a drawing of a blonde boy and girl standing back-to-back.

    “Don’t look.”

Esha took back the paper with a mischievous expression.

“Wait, is this you and me?”

    “What if it is…?”

“I’m just surprised. I thought you didn’t like me.”

“When did I ever say I didn’t like you? I just feel sorry seeing you constantly getting beaten up lately.”

    “Sorry for me?”

    Esha glanced over Hiasen’s body.

His arms and legs were covered in dark bruises, leaving no part of his body uninjured.

    “Are they still bullying you?”

“Bullying? I just got injured during practice matches.”

“Have you ever hit back the same way?”

Hiasen couldn’t easily answer Esha’s question.

In the silence-filled room, Esha was the first to sigh.

“Didn’t Marquis Bastion say he’s hosting a 2v2 match for his final lecture next month? I’ll definitely complete this innate magic by then and make those guys’ faces match.”

“What? You’ll team up with me? The balance is off—Jade is seventeen and Fayran is fifteen.”

“No, that makes it just about right.”

A playful smile bloomed on Esha’s face.

She put the scrolls back on the floor and brought over a pendulum model, dropping the weight in mid-air.

“Why do you think even three-year-olds can swing well?”

“Swings? Because they stretch their legs going forward and pull them in going backward.”

Esha wouldn’t ask if she didn’t know, so Hiasen waited for her next words.

“You’re right. But this pendulum, even though it looks still…”

She focused on the metal ball that had stopped moving.

Delicate aura was periodically injected into the pendulum, making it shudder and shoot upward. If it hadn’t been attached to a string, it would have soared to the ceiling.

“If you give it the right vibration, it goes wild on its own.”

“What does that have to do with this magic?”

“I like how smart you are. It’s nice that we understand each other. Anyway, look forward to it.”

After saying that, Esha went into her room alone and continued researching her innate magic for days, skipping meals and staying up all night.

Looking much more haggard, she appeared on the day of the match and asked Hiasen for a simple favor.

The Third Prince Hiasen accepted her help without a moment’s doubt,

And when the First and Second Princes suffered internal injuries requiring 16 and 20 weeks of recovery respectively, her first innate magic was permanently sealed.

    * * *

The most important thing for a swordsman isn’t the power of the strike or the correct posture to guide it.

It’s ensuring no energy is wasted.

In our universe, energy is conserved in all situations. Even if a god died and was reborn, this proposition would remain unchanged.

Therefore, thinking that striking with 10 units of power to deliver 6 units of impact is better than using 5 units of power for 5 units of impact is a common mistake made by novice swordsmen.

The value of precision cannot be exchanged for anything.

This is also why postures in archery and shooting differ slightly from person to person.

Their bodies have learned that when they take that stance, they can accomplish their mission most accurately without wasting energy.

But not everyone can have a Sword Master as their mentor.

From these various considerations was born the “Impact Resonance” magic.

Even if the assistant is a novice swordsman, as long as the primary caster can set the correct equivalent frequency, the energy wasted in a combined strike is accumulated in the form of mana according to the maso-energy equivalence principle.

Destroying the gear is like pushing the back of a child on a swing.

When that happens once, twice, and dozens of times, a swing might just go around once, but what happens if this occurs inside the body?

    Fatigue destruction.

Ten strikes will crush bones even in an aura-reinforced body, and twenty strikes will rupture all internal organs.

But I never saw the result of thirty, forty… or a hundred vibrations released at once.

At that time, that girl, and I, wanted to directly shatter the prejudice that 1st circle magic has limitations in power.

    And that wish,

    “Hyaaaaaah!”

[Innate Magic – Estasha Style First Form]

    [Adella – 200 Combo]

    [Break]

Was finally realized in the hands of the silver-haired girl.

    [Critical Hit!]

    [200 HIT COMBO]

    [394870 DAMAGE]

    [HP: 10826/666666]

    -NoName is too good!!!!!!

    -This time it’s 400k lol

    -That’s a number you’d see in Act 4 damn

-And that’s on Nightmare difficulty. In Normal, that Mephisto only has 500k HP.

    -Truly amazing

    -Is she even human?

-How do NoName and Adella maintain a 200 combo without breaking once lol

-For real, I’m a rhythm game pro and I barely hit triple digits once a year

-Machine turned human (NoName) vs Human turned machine (Adella) truly two heavenly powers

└ lol they’re on the same team, why are you making them fight?

    └ Picture-like photo vs Photo-like picture

└ Why do both of these sound like compliments lol

-What’s the identity of that 1st circle magic? (genuinely don’t know)

└ How would I know? (Currently a teaching assistant in Daechi-dong)

└ How would I know? (SKY Theoretical Magic major)

└ Wow really? What’s your GPA?

    └ 1.8

    └ Ah, a 1-point ERA is ace level~lol

-This can’t be explained without hacking

└ Yeah, with all the bugs, there’s no reason hacks couldn’t exist too

The extreme damage output was good.

But it was disappointing that it didn’t lead to death.

    [■■■■■& %^$#$ Jin Chronicle’s health regeneration increases by 200%.]

I don’t understand why all these enemies have such tenacious lifelines.

    “Huff… hah… I can’t move my arm… No more healing?”

    “…!”

    [MP: 160/2800]

It’s not a question of whether healing is possible.

Adella’s face was pale, her eyes unfocused, her breathing excessively labored.

Above all, she kept alternating between smiling, grimacing, and returning to a serious expression.

She seemed to lack even the strength to control her facial muscles, which were moving involuntarily from the waves of power flowing from the innate magic.

“No. Rest now, you’ve done enough.”

“No… I can do more! Just a little… if I had just a little more, I could have finished it.”

“You’re out of mana anyway. I’ll handle the rest somehow.”

With just 10,000 HP left, I thought I could manage on my own.

It seemed this half-formed devil remnant was vulnerable to magic damage, unlike the Vice Principal before Balum possessed him.

As I was trying to formulate a battle plan by carefully managing my mana, Adella grabbed my ankle.

    “Hic… waaaaaah!”

    “…”

“What do I do… dying is scary… but now I have something even scarier than dying… If you die even once more, I really won’t be able to bear it… Don’t go anywhere. Please… I’m begging you…”

    “…”

“We’re not even related! Technically, you and I just met today! Why are you being so nice to someone like me… Why?! Just leave me and run away. Run away, I said!”

I grabbed the whining Adella by her armpits and lifted her up.

    “Huh…?”

“Adella. Do you know what the world says is your reason for existence?”

    “No… I don’t know…”

‘Gentleman of the Library’ Balum Benaons.

‘Remnant Academy Vice Principal’ Jin Chronicle.

    [Headline Effect ON]

    [Dawn’s Cat – Adella]

    “The Cat of Dawn.”

    “Dawn?”

    It’s not even funny.

The title “Cat of Dawn” originated from her background story.

Adella, who would prowl the capital with bold thievery in the dead of night, would vanish without a trace when dawn broke while being chased by guards.

That’s how she got her nickname, but fate is truly frightening.

Who would have known that the faint sunlight rising at dawn (黎明) would be her remaining life (餘命)?

“Personally, I like dawn. When darkness lifts and sunlight shines, it feels like a new day different from yesterday is beginning.”

Dawn was satisfying when I stayed up studying.

Dawn was especially hopeful when it welcomed me after a night of crying.

“After a good sleep, everything will be different.”

    [Casting: Circuit Reconfiguration]

    “…!”

The first magic I cast when executing World of Arsheria.

After extracting all the mana from Adella’s core, her body went limp.

    [MP: 660/2800]

I can only use it once. But that’s fine. I’ve roughly satisfied the conditions.

    “Excuse me, everyone.”

    -???

    -?

    -??

    -Yes?

    -Hello?

    -?

I waved my hand lightly toward the camera I had momentarily forgotten about.

“This is kind of my trade secret.”

[Twish Alert – Cameras 1-9 have been blocked by the administrator.]

    “Thank you for understanding.”
