Ch.111111. Choi Min-seo Makes Contact with Han So-mi Amidst the Intensifying Battle

Kang Yerin was momentarily stunned by Sulphur’s words. She couldn’t understand the intent behind his question.

“Wait a minute. Did I hear you correctly? Who loves who?”

“Exactly what I said. I asked if you love Jung Ui-seok.”

Kang Yerin frowned and raised both hands.

“Who are you exactly? Were you originally a resident here? How do you know that name?”

“Haha, perhaps I gave away too much information. Well, let’s just say Red Dragon was an excellent hero on this side too. Though he’s long dead.”

“He existed on your side too? …My assumption was wrong. An excellent hero. That’s a good evaluation.”

“Why, Jung Ui-seok is your sentai’s leader, isn’t he? Why do you look so perplexed?”

“He became the leader because he’s strong. I somewhat admired him, so I followed and became a hero too.”

“Hmm. That part is the same as the Yellow Cloaker I know. So what’s the problem?”

“…It’s all an illusion. All that talk about heroic justice and peace.”

Kang Yerin shook her head. Sulphur showed interest.

“Interesting response. Of course, heroes’ primary purpose is profit generation. They create fake images through media to deceive the public. But I wouldn’t think Jung Ui-seok is that kind of man?”

“They’re all the same. The entire Dragon King Sentai.”

“Is that so? Then Kang Yerin, why are you still a hero?”

“Because we’ll all die if I quit. Actually, the synthetic monsters…”

    Kang Yerin stopped herself mid-sentence.

“What am I thinking? Blabbering information to the enemy. Sigh, I must be losing my mind.”

“Aren’t you too stressed? Your skin is suffering. I recommend Lotson products.”

    “…That company disappeared long ago.”

Kang Yerin looked at Sulphur and smirked.

“Sulphur. I’ve never heard that name before. Were you our junior or something?”

    “Something like that.”

“It seems the me on your side liked Red Dragon.”

“Loved him insanely. She was a crazy woman who would throw away everything for him.”

    “Is she dead?”

“Yes. The entire Dragon King Sentai.”

“Must be Gerogius. I thought that name sounded like it was targeting us from the start. Now I have even more reason not to lose this fight.”

Kang Yerin took a deep breath.

“Anyway, I may have admired Red Dragon, but I never had romantic feelings for him. I despise such shallow, materialistic people.”

    “That must be the truth?”

“Yes. Now please answer my question too.”

“Of course. There should be give and take.”

“I want to know Vengeance’s rank. And Gerogius’s abilities.”

“Haha, that’s too high a price for hearing about your love life. Sorry, but I don’t know either. I’m not sure about your side, but here, Nameless has been neutralized for a long time.”

“Useless. Then what about you? What’s your ability?”

“Hmm. That I can tell you.”

    Sulphur snapped his fingers.

A small black hole appeared above Kang Yerin’s head and instantly began to suck her in.

    “Ugh, what is this…?!”

Realizing it was Sulphur’s attack, Kang Yerin hurriedly activated Clock Out.

Although she could stop time, gravity was a force that transcended time, giving it a natural advantage—she couldn’t stop it.

“This ability is called ‘Event Horizon.’ You’ve probably faced it before.”

    “Who are you really…!”

“Nothing special. I just consumed Emperor Recter. About 10,000 of them.”

    “Sulphur!!”

    PAANG!

Kang Yerin was propelled high into the sky by a powerful force. In an instant, she broke through the barrier and was ringed out.

After deactivating his ability, Sulphur ran toward the center of the island.

    He confirmed once more.

    “…Ha, to think there’s a Jung Ui-seok I’m not even attracted to.”

He doesn’t deserve to bear the name Jung Ui-seok.

I was foolish to have such expectations.

The world has never revolved around me, not even once, so why now?

    “…Yes. For me, there’s only…”

    Gerogius.

    Sulphur’s pace quickened.

    ***

“Second squad, move to the rear. Mute, prepare area-of-effect at 275. Biturn, Sigma. Coordinate with Formation C.”

The villains moved in perfect unison following Lee Lu-a’s commands.

Soon, Shin Yukyong’s giant mirror appeared, ambushing Lee Lu-a from above.

“How dare you, a dead person!”

“I’ll return those words right back. Thanks to you dying too quickly, I still have some lingering resentment. Let me resolve it here.”

Shin Yukyong’s mirror created countless reflections through diffraction, attacking Lee Lu-a. The villains defended and counterattacked.

Shuriken and dark matter collided, causing explosions.

“You’re definitely different from the Dark Matter I know.”

Shin Yukyong operated a device on her left arm with her right fingers.

    [Shape Managed! GRAVITY!]

    [Include! AO’GUANG!]

    KUGUGUNG!

An enormous pressure bore down on the villains.

    “Gravitino, Acht.”

Lee Lu-a raised her finger. She neutralized Shin Yukyong’s ability and began pressuring her instead.

    “Kuk, you’re surpassing me…!”

“A hero using a Pad? Are you sane? What would Red Dragon say?”

Lee Lu-a looked at Shin Yukyong with contempt.

    CHANG!

Shin Yukyong escaped by creating a kaleidoscope.

“What’s wrong with using a Pad? It’s a basic enhancement item for Dragon King Sentai. You villains probably don’t even know how to use it.”

    “You’re deceiving Red Dragon.”

    “Deceiving?”

“Don’t pretend. You developed that with your own investment, didn’t you?”

    Shin Yukyong frowned.

“You may look the same, but this is clearly a different world. The Dark Matter I know wouldn’t care about such things.”

Deflecting Lee Lu-a’s dark matter and detonating explosive charges, Shin Yukyong continued.

“I can’t win like this. I’ll retreat. But I refuse to be misunderstood. Dark Matter, these Pads weren’t made by me.”

    “Then?”

“They’re manufactured by the Hero Association with Red Dragon’s approval. All for the peace of our world.”

“…Ha, do you even know what they’re made of?”

“I’m a hero. The scientists handle the technology. I’m not ignorant. I just chose to focus elsewhere. And—”

Pretending to continue speaking, Shin Yukyong left a decoy and disappeared with a smoke screen.

Seeing the barrier’s range shrinking in the distance, Lee Lu-a led the villains toward the interior.

In the central zone of the battlefield.

Ji Se-hwa charged forward riding a massive wave of water, like a tidal surge.

“Haha, look at that dumbfounded expression! What’s wrong, too shocked to react?”

Lena, who was at the target point, casually dusted off her collar and softly recited a command.

    “‘Bounce away.'”

    KWAAAA!

The water streams shattered like glass fragments. Not a single drop reached Lena as they spread out as if hitting an invisible curtain.

    “That’s some spirit! E.lena!”

Ji Se-hwa swung her saber, which had grown enormous as a blue dragon coiled around it.

    CHAENG!

Lena created a sword in mid-air and counterattacked.

“Why is it so hard? You’ve really come prepared!”

“Don’t use my name so casually. I don’t recall becoming friends with you, Ocean Saber.”

“Huh? What did you just call me?!”

“You should have watched your mouth first. I declare: until I defeat you here…”

    KWAK!

    Lena stomped the ground forcefully.

    “I won’t move a single step.”

Lena recited her command. Simultaneously, numerous swords materialized above her head and began targeting Ji Se-hwa.

“You’re so full of yourself. I’ll cut everything down!”

At Ji Se-hwa’s signal, heroes emerged. About twenty of them. They had gathered earlier and were hiding for an ambush.

“Whether it’s bluffing or whatever, I’ll make it reality. I have to grant your wish.”

As the heroes charged, Lena raised her arm.

    “Haa, haa.”

Han Somi wiped the sweat from her forehead.

The battle had already passed its midpoint. Starting from the outer region, she had become isolated and was making her way in while defeating heroes.

    “Enemy…!”

Hearing rustling from the bushes, Han Somi cautiously drew out her claws. A figure appeared before her charge, raising a staff to activate a barrier.

    “Wait, please!”

Han Somi’s claws cracked the barrier. Seeing her opponent, she slowed her movement and created distance between them.

Choi Minseo gave Han Somi a desperate look.

“Somi unni… It is you, right?”

Han Somi froze. Confirming her reaction, Choi Minseo smiled with joy before biting her lip in distress.

“It really is you… How did you end up like this? Why did you become a monster? Unni, do you remember me? You were a hero. Rainbow Shooter!”

    “…Choi Minseo.”

    “Unni!”

Choi Minseo ran to Han Somi and embraced her tightly.

“Somi unni, I missed you. I’m so glad. That we could meet like this… Unni, come back to us. Everyone misses you.”

Han Somi immediately pushed Choi Minseo away. The force caused wounds on Choi Minseo’s body, but she didn’t treat her injuries and just smiled sadly.

“…What happened to me on your side?”

    “A long time ago, enemies…”

Choi Minseo gripped her staff tightly.

“I believe in you. I don’t know what happened to you, but if you’re the unni who protected justice, I know you wouldn’t bend your will no matter what.”

    Choi Minseo raised her voice.

“The villains must have done something terrible to you, right? Ui-seok oppa… Red Dragon will listen to your story. Let’s live together as heroes again, unni!”

    Choi Minseo pleaded earnestly.

    Han Somi’s lips trembled slightly.

    Finally, she answered.
