The concept of mapping refers specifically to the act of illuminating a map.

It’s not some grand treasure hunt; it’s simply an action users take to reveal farming maps for easier navigation, so there’s nothing difficult about it.

Areas explored are marked on the map, while unexplored areas remain dark.

While most games use a character’s radius distance as the standard, in the Farming World, the “character’s field of vision” is the basic range for mapping.

One might ask, “Couldn’t you just fly up and see the entire map from above?”

But the Farming World has a separate vision distance limit, so it’s not much different from the character’s radius distance standard.

So while typical MMORPG games illuminate areas based on the character’s position and radius, the Farming World uses vision distance. It’s slightly wider than mapping in regular farming games, but because of the “vision distance” limitation, there are cases where the map isn’t fully revealed at once.

For example, the western mountains are the largest area where this blind spot applies.

Vision blocked by high mountains is a major disadvantage when mapping.

Even when illuminating the same area, mountains require you to climb to higher points to reveal the maximum vision distance, so mapping takes longer.

Conversely, plains can be mapped much faster.

In that sense, having [Leap] gave me the advantage of being able to map at flying-like speeds.

“Spent all day and only got halfway done.”

Originally, there aren’t many crazy people who illuminate every single map without leaving a single black spot.

Well, there are occasionally some lunatics who achieve 100% mapping, but there’s absolutely no reason to do that.

As mentioned, due to vision distance limitations, areas blocked from sight remain dark, and if it’s not a key point, slightly dark areas are likely meaningless places that can be skipped.

Fully illuminating a map takes twice as long as revealing 90%, which is why even achievement quests consider 80% completion to be sufficient.

When I was farming Suhyeon’s Farming World 1, I nearly completed the mapping, but I only fully completed the 0-2 biomes at the beginning.

But here, there was no need for that.

When mapping while flying, there are no blocked areas.

The mapping speed doesn’t decrease even when recovering mana while traveling across vast lands because [Leap] not only has the concept of teleporting distances but also the effect of moving extremely quickly like teleportation. Since one skill can map within 150m, I could map thoroughly and quickly.

So I just went ahead and illuminated everything.

    Exactly 50%.

Including the areas I’d already illuminated in the east, I thought I could probably finish by tomorrow.

“Wow. But it still takes two days even doing this much?”

The Level 0 biome map was incredibly vast.

It had to be at least 5km in radius, meaning the Level 0 biome was a circle with a 10km diameter.

In some ways, 10km doesn’t seem that far, but this is just the Level 0 biome.

Originally, in the Farming World, Level 0 biomes contained the base, village, orchard, and sewers all close together, allowing easy travel between them. Comparatively, this was quite large.

Still, I’d leveled up quite a bit.

With plenty of mana and the sewer sword, I could finish mapping this quickly.

I went to bed early and woke at dawn to complete the mapping.

    [Quest Complete!]

The quest had already been completed when I reached 80% completion, but after reaching 100% and returning, a hidden quest was completed separately.

    [Hidden Quest]

    [Achievement – Novice Explorer 1]

[The true master of a dimension begins by knowing every map thoroughly without any hidden spots.]

[Illuminate 100% of the Level 0 biome]

[Reward: 3 Achievement Points, 10,000 Farm, 20 Farming Stat Points, Base increased by 10P, Random Base Box (C) x 20]

    [First Hidden Quest Completed!]

    [1 Achievement Point acquired]

    “They’re being so generous…”

This didn’t exist in the Farming World.

If there had been hidden quests like this, even the efficiency-obsessed players who abandoned romance would have spent day and night mapping to illuminate 100% of the maps.

The rewards were far better than regular achievement quests.

Plus, there was an additional achievement point for completing the first hidden quest.

Although I only knew that achievement points could be used to upgrade map effects, even that had a huge impact on me, so it was a good reward.

My achievement points had already reached 7.

My farming stats and Farm had returned to what they were before restoring the village.

“The base has doubled in size.”

The base, which was 20P, had become 40P.

This was something I needed to think about—whether to expand the house or not.

It felt like I’d wrapped things up.

    It was refreshing.

Looking at the map, I could see a large illuminated circle centered around the base.

    It was colorful.

Key points were marked, and black circles extended outward.

I wondered where the Level 1 biome was.

The most straightforward path would be to head straight toward the Level 2 biome, the Black Monkey territory, but seeing the massive rewards from this achievement quest, I decided it would be better to go through the Level 1 biome first.

Maybe I should cross the mountains.

“I could use the ranch too.”

There were several key points in the west.

First, there was a copper mine, and to the north and south, there was a wide prairie with a ranch right below the mountain.

High, sturdy fences surrounded the large ranch area to prevent grazing animals from escaping, and a massive barn stood in the center, seemingly large enough to raise all kinds of animals.

I hadn’t expected much from the ranch since it might or might not exist, but now that I’d found it, I thought about catching some animals to raise.

“It would be good for leather and meat.”

With this much space, the animals could graze freely and grow well, and with the mountain right above, they could grow stress-free, providing good quality meat.

Despite the era of monster meat, the efficiency of raising and breeding large quantities of meat is still hard to match. For commoners, it’s often better to eat beef or pork from dungeons with good air and soil than expensive monster meat.

Plus, genetically modified cows and pigs crossed with monsters are quite popular.

I thought it might be nice to bring in a few of those and raise them.

But this wasn’t an immediate concern due to the labor shortage.

If I were to do it, I’d have to oversee it occasionally, but I was already leaving the farming to Kim Sujeong, so I wasn’t sure if I could pay enough attention.

I’d do it if possible, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to start it.

Anyway, just having a key point like the ranch, similar to the orchard left by the previous owner, meant it could be useful someday.

As I returned home after organizing tomorrow’s tasks, I encountered Jee Hyun’s first achievement at the farm.

“Boss! The hair loss spray sample is complete!”

    “Oh, really?”

The hair loss remedy was in spray form, contained in a finger-sized container.

The form and method of application could be chosen according to the alchemist’s preference, and I had opted for a spray rather than an oral medication.

I thought spraying would be more visually dramatic and impressive than taking a pill.

Whether ingested or sprayed, the effectiveness of the hair loss remedy doesn’t change.

    [Hair Loss Spray]

    – Grade: A

    – Contains 50ml of hair growth solution.

    – When sprayed evenly on the desired area, that area is permanently converted to a ‘hair growth body’ property.

    – However, since it’s not directly ingested, the stat increase effect of the ‘hair growth body’ cannot be seen.

    – This effect lasts for 1 year.

    “Perfect.”

    It was perfect.

A spray that eliminates hair loss in the applied area.

It can even make hair grow thicker, and depending on the situation, it could make hair grow in other areas.

Some might wonder if there’s any use for it elsewhere, but there are people who are self-conscious about being hairless.

    Plus, what I wanted most:

“Making it time-limited actually requires more materials.”

“We still have to do it. To sell it at a premium.”

There shouldn’t be a permanent hair loss remedy.

I immediately understood why appliance companies don’t make durable, lifelong products even though they could.

“How many of these can you make now?”

“Well… most ingredients can be grown, but we’re short on evaporation herb.”

“I’ll gather some. It’s in the western mountains.”

I postponed my plan to visit the Level 1 biome tomorrow.

The Level 1 biome wasn’t the priority right now.
