Ch.109[Chapter 109] Lord Dominic VS Hime, Round 2!

Sir Dominic decided to take a shower first, but there was one major problem.

    “I have… no clothes.”

    That’s right.

Sir Dominic was behaving in Gacha Land just as he had in Feralant.

Specifically, he would only buy new clothes after wearing his current ones until they were too worn to wear.

Of course, he did have one spare set, but even that spare had been reduced to rags during Hime’s morning attack.

One might think that in Gacha Land, such things could be fixed with a single repair button, but this was Sir Dominic’s home.

Even a system that infiltrates every aspect of life knows to respect privacy.

The mere thought of someone monitoring you in your personal space is enough to give you goosebumps.

However, this time that system worked against him.

Sir Dominic began to deeply contemplate how to handle this situation.

Should he go out and buy new clothes?

Or should he wear these clothes for a day while doing laundry and waiting for them to dry?

The problem with the former was that his clothes were see-through, and the latter was just too uncomfortable.

The former could lead to strange misunderstandings, while the latter was something Sir Dominic himself, now accustomed to Gacha Land’s hygiene, couldn’t accept.

While he was unable to decide either way, the doorbell rang from beyond the door.

    “Who is it?”

Sir Dominic asked whoever was beyond the door.

    “Delivery service.”

The person beyond the door replied.

When Sir Dominic opened the door, there stood, as always, an angel delivery person with white wings holding a package.

“Please sign here, and yes. Please use our Heaven Delivery service again next time!”

The angel frowned upon seeing Sir Dominic’s appearance but, like a professional, smiled brightly and quickly departed.

Sir Dominic couldn’t blame the angel.

    “Who on earth sent this?”

    Sender: Gacha-Up-G Company.

A name he hadn’t heard in a while.

How could Sir Dominic forget this name?

The developers of Enchant, the game that made Sir Dominic famous.

Sir Dominic suddenly wondered how Don Castello, Hanus, and the developers were doing.

    Sir Dominic opened the package.

Having received several packages before, Sir Dominic could now gauge what was inside.

As he was opening the package, a good idea suddenly occurred to him.

“Right. After checking this package, I should buy some clothes from an online shopping mall. With plenty of spares this time.”

Indeed. We have the conveniences of civilization, like smartphones, don’t we?

Sir Dominic was proud of himself for having this thought.

Focusing back on the package, Sir Dominic found a letter and three sets of clothes inside.

He decided to read the letter first.

‘To my dear friend, Sir Dominic.’

‘Hey, friend! It’s Don Castello. You haven’t forgotten me, right?’

‘Wow, I’ve been so busy that I couldn’t even contact you.’

‘Anyway, Enchant was such a huge hit that we built a new company building!’

‘Come visit sometime. Neglecting a founding contributor leads to the downfall of both countries and companies.’

‘While cleaning out the old office, I found some memories.’

‘I’m sending you these memories along with this letter for nostalgia’s sake.’

    ‘Along with Chroma skins!’

‘From your very dear friend, Don Castello.’

The letter was from Don Castello.

Surprisingly, Don Castello’s handwriting was in elegant cursive, seemingly written on premium paper with a fountain pen.

There was no sign of ink smudging, and the characteristic indentation of a fountain pen was visible.

Sir Dominic reminisced about those times.

Of course, it had only been a few months, but still.

Emerging from his reverie, Sir Dominic carefully set the letter aside and took out the remaining clothes from the package.

The clothes were familiar to Sir Dominic, yet somewhat unfamiliar.

“The Pirate Knight skin. Good heavens.”

    A red pirate outfit.

Unlike the crudely made clothes from before, however.

This outfit featured premium fabric with a luxurious design.

It must have been newly made at some point.

Sir Dominic took out the other clothes as well.

They were familiar Pirate Knight outfits, differing only in color.

    Red, blue, and green—three outfits.

Sir Dominic, overcome with nostalgia, reached out to try them on.

“No, no. I should wash up first and then think about it.”

But Sir Dominic remembered that he hadn’t bathed yet.

Lost in memories and muttering as if someone was beside him, Sir Dominic headed to the bathroom, happy to have new clothes.

    Himetotzsaigo Castle.

“So you’ve decided to go after all?”

    “Yes, Mother.”

A graceful Oriental beauty in a kimono looked at Unryu Hime.

Unryu Ichiko, Hime’s mother and mentor.

    Ichiko gazed intently at Hime.

“I must resolve what I started. Since I caused the problem, I should be the one to solve it.”

Hime’s expression was already filled with firm determination.

However, the fox ears and tail that had appeared at some point were nervously twitching.

    Ichiko sighed.

Who did she take after to be such a klutz?

If Musashi were here, he would say she looked exactly like Ichiko in her youth.

That’s why Ichiko felt she could no longer stop Hime.

She had been the same way, after all.

The people of the Unryu family all became obsessed with strange things and couldn’t let go.

“Very well. Good results will come.”

    “Thank you, Mother.”

Hime spoke in a stiff tone that lacked any cuteness whatsoever.

But her ears and tail perked up, showing her joy.

“Then I’ll be going to meet Sir Dominic—”

    “Oh my! Look at me.”

Ichiko interrupted Hime, clapping her hands together.

She then took out a golden hairpin from her kimono sleeve and placed it in Hime’s hair.

All while continuing to brush Hime’s hair, which she had tried to tidy up but apparently wasn’t satisfied with.

“Wear this hairpin. It will bring you luck.”

    “Luck, you say?”

“It has the effect of +1 Luck stat.”

Gacha Land was a world governed by systems, not superstitions.

Even luck couldn’t escape the system’s influence.

“…Thank you. I really must go now. It would be rude to be any later.”

The time was already approaching evening.

If she left now, she could arrive before dinner.

    That’s what Hime thought.

    “Yes. Take care.”

    Ichiko saw Hime off.

Taking a fan from her sleeve, Ichiko opened it to cover her mouth.

There would certainly be good results.

In truth, she hadn’t told Hime, but that hairpin also had an option to increase charm.

Sir Dominic finished his bath and changed into the Pirate Knight set.

His T-shirt had been carefully placed in the washing machine.

“It’s been quite a while since I wore this.”

Sir Dominic looked at himself in the full-length mirror.

A bicorne hat with a skull drawn on it.

    A white dress shirt.

    Baggy pants and boots.

    And a red coat.

It must have been quite an expensive skin, as even the sword and shield had been changed to match the pirate theme.

An oak barrel shield with an iron anchor attached and a shark-tooth-like saw blade sword.

While he was at it, Sir Dominic also took out the flag.

    “Even this detail?”

He couldn’t help but admire the skin’s attention to detail.

The flag had transformed into a Jolly Roger—a black flag with a skull and crossed thigh bones.

Sir Dominic caressed the luxurious fabric, lost in memories.

How many tasks had he needed to complete wearing this outfit while making Enchant?

And how happy had he been when the results came in?

Above all, the people involved with Enchant were the first people Sir Dominic had “properly” met, excluding v.a.l.l.o.c.

Most other people Sir Dominic knew were acquaintances he had met through being involved in incidents, people he had met as Sir Dominic of Feralant.

But the Enchant team members were connections made by “Sir Dominic of Gacha Land.”

Sir Dominic got up and headed to the refrigerator.

Though he usually didn’t drink much, today he felt that one drink would be fine, given his sentimental mood.

Not knowing much about alcohol, Sir Dominic took out the prettiest bottle among those that Sir Dominica had stocked.

Returning to the living room with a glass, Sir Dominic poured the beautiful deep green liquor into it.

    The aroma was quite nice.

But as he took a long swig, Sir Dominic realized something was wrong.

The alcohol he had drunk was high-proof spirits.

Coughing and trying to soothe his burning throat, Sir Dominic recapped the bottle and put it back in the refrigerator.

Why on earth did Sir Dominica drink such alcohol?

It was beyond the comprehension of Sir Dominic, the epitome of knighthood.

    That’s when it happened.

The doorbell rang again from beyond the door.

    “Who is it this time?”

Sir Dominic got up and approached the entrance.

    “Who is it?”

“It’s Hime. I wanted to apologize for what happened before—”

    Ah, it was Lady Hime.

Sir Dominic opened the door wide at the mention of Hime.

Currently lost in memories, Sir Dominic was simply welcoming a fellow Enchant comrade.

    However…

“Eeeeeek? A pirate? Why a pirate?”

Hime had a spectacular pirate reality shock.

Even if one has developed some resistance to pirates, such a sudden appearance is unavoidable.

    With that, Hime fainted.
