    Ch.108I’ll finish it for you.

    # 1.

The Invasion of Hallorand Manor by Lactea.

    “Shh. Open the gift first.”

    “Gift…?”

    “Yes.”

She maintained her intimidating presence even before Hallorand’s numerous troops and bluntly stated:

“What I just threw… is the corpse of Ian Red that you’ve been so desperately searching for.”

No sooner had Lactea finished speaking than Asha rushed toward the thrown sack.

    Rip, tear!

Without even untying the knot, she tore the sack open, revealing a red-haired young man.

    Dried, caked blood,

    Pale complexion,

    Faintly visible red hair.

    “Ah… Ahhh…!!”

With urgent hands, Asha removed the sack and embraced the limp man.

His body hung like rusted wire, completely stiff.

Asha wiped the dried blood from his face and then looked up.

    “Why?!”

    Blue eyes filled with resentment.

Those eyes, which had shone like sapphires when she was with Ian Red, were now as dull as lusterless plastic fragments.

“Why did you do this to the Priest…!!!”

After a brief silence following Asha’s desperate cry, Lactea sheathed her longsword and asked in an elegant voice:

    “Are you curious?”

    “You call that an explanation—!!”

“Then follow me. I’ll tell you everything about that man.”

    Golden eyes gleaming eerily.

“The condition is that all members of the Light follow me. Refuse, and there won’t be another chance.”

Having finished speaking, Lactea turned around as if without any lingering attachment.

    “Well then.”

“Wait!! Damn it, Selena!! Restrain her!!”

Noticing the retreat, Asha shouted toward the manor’s roof, but Selena had already jumped down and was pursuing Lactea.

    “Guardian’s…!! Ugh, Selena!?”

    “Shut up and follow me.”

    “Ah, uh, understood!!!”

Balkan was dragged along as if hooked.

Selena, who had already reached Asha, glanced back and said:

    “I’m going.”

    “But…!!”

Asha also wanted to follow, but Hallorand Manor was under attack.

“If we do that, this place too…!!”

Selena nodded and pointed behind Asha, whispering softly:

“I know. I’m not going recklessly.”

Following Selena’s hand, Asha saw three or four people gathered.

One was Marin, the last member of the Light.

    “Quickly… quickly…!!”

    “This is maximum…!!”

She was using half of her mana to cast a top-tier barrier around the manor, assisted by the 8th-ranked Barrier Priest of the Ten Strengths.

    “…Is Casler not here?”

    “Mmm, that’s enough love, Hunter.”

“Stop the nonsense and focus on the perimeter.”

    “You started it first…”

The 3rd-ranked Hunter and 6th-ranked Daytime Lynx were checking their weapons and guarding against potential additional threats. Only then did Selena speak again:

“Three of the Ten Strengths. Plus Marin’s barrier. We won’t fall easily. Even in the worst-case scenario, we can return through Marin.”

    “……”

    Asha knew.

That the Light, having lost Ian Red as their beacon, was unprecedentedly dark now.

She had gathered people to seek revenge, but it had ended in failure.

They had eventually found and raided the enemy’s base, but it was already empty and abandoned. Despite searching extensively afterward, they never found it again.

    The Light.

A group composed of distant powerful individuals who had never lost anything before.

They had lost many small things, but Ian Red, who had become their light, was different.

“That woman is the Black Wolf. The information about the Priest might be false, but it doesn’t change the fact that she’s an enemy we need to eliminate!!”

“I agree. I broke my shield to eradicate those bastards.”

“The barrier is set. Unless it’s broken from inside, even your holy sword can’t break it, Asha. I’ve stationed 3 of the Ten Strengths. So stop worrying and let’s kill the Black Wolf first.”

Having lost their light, the Light prioritized revenge whenever the Black Wolf was involved, preventing them from making proper judgments.

And since this was also true for Asha, she stood up, gripping her holy sword.

    “…For the Priest.”

A moment of silence followed Asha’s lead.

After finishing the silent prayer, Asha raised her head toward Hallorand beyond the barrier and made a request:

    “While we’re gone, please… the Priest…”

Responding to her desperate gaze, Hallorand placed his hand on his chest and nodded.

“I’ll protect him with my life. May you succeed in your mission.”

Afterward, all members of the Light followed Lactea at full speed.

The annihilation of the Black Wolf.

That was the only way to restore the light of the Light.

    # 2.

    Right after the attack.

    Hallorand was greatly bewildered.

“An attack…? This has never happened before, why…?”

His gaze turned to the empty space before him.

    ─『Last Chance』─

    ◆ Savior of Regression.

: This world is destined for destruction. Please save the world as the Savior of Regression.

    ◆ Number of possible regressions.

    : So far… [∞].

    ◆Reward

    : End of regression.

    Since birth until now.

Hallorand had faced endless deaths in endless time.

So he wasn’t afraid of death.

Even if he died from this attack, he would just return to the same starting point.

Rather, he feared a new beginning more.

Only by reaching some kind of conclusion would this regression have meaning.

Returning without gaining anything would only mean repeating the lonely battle against time.

Under the immense pressure of time weighing on his shoulders, Hallorand unconsciously muttered:

“I had such a good feeling about this time, too.”

As the Savior of Regression, he knew.

This world flows only as predetermined, and only the three saviors like himself could bring new winds to this place.

One was the Savior of Reincarnation, and the other was the Savior of Possession.

Only the Savior of Possession and the Savior of Reincarnation, who changed people and targets each time, were the only keys that could save Hallorand from eternal life.

The Savior of Reincarnation he found this time was the leader of the secret organization Eclipse, and after finding him in the past and confessing everything:

-I understand. Then I will save everyone. Including you, Hallorand, of course.

Hallorand returned with the same empty promise as always.

    He had expected it.

That no matter what was said, all saviors had failed to keep their promises and regressed.

But this Savior of Reincarnation was different.

-What do you mean? The salvation I speak of and pursue is the extinction of the world.

    -…What?

-Don’t overthink it. Isn’t extinction the true salvation?

Unlike the reincarnators who only spoke of ideals, he considered extinction as salvation.

-Hah! Even if you destroy the world, you’ll just repeat the regression, won’t you?

-No. Not destruction, but extinction. I have the power to end your long life.

    That was true.

The one who instantly took control of Eclipse began changing the world in his own way.

The best choices Hallorand knew were recreated, and despite having such an impact on the world, Eclipse did not reveal itself.

As if following and adjusting according to a pre-written [Book of Prophecy of Destruction], the world steadily approached extinction.

    But in recent months.

-It’s different from the future you told me about.

The past and future Hallorand remembered began to deviate little by little.

The same actions yielding different results.

    -Did you deceive me?

    -Of course not.

-True, someone with extinction as their goal wouldn’t do that… Then it must be the work of the other one you mentioned. The Savior of Possession.

The two narrowed down the candidates.

While constantly moving toward extinction, they watched for who might be the Savior of Possession.

As a result, three candidates emerged:

“The Black Wolf, the Yellow Dragon… and the Free Priest Ian Red.”

Finishing his thoughts, Hallorand quietly looked down at the sack that had been brought to his room.

Unlike the Black Wolf or Yellow Dragon, an irregular he had never encountered even once during his countless regressions.

A human who had recruited all members of the Light and was about to ascend to the position of Pope.

Both Hallorand and the leader of Eclipse thought this person was the possessed one, but,

    ‘…He died.’

By the Black Wolf, who had brought the greatest chaos in every regression.

Is he really the possessed one?

If so, why would the Black Wolf…?

    Where did things go wrong?

As his head throbbed from repeated contemplation, Hallorand clutched his head.

“Haa… Any conclusion would be fine… if only we could reach a conclusion.”

Being someone who had always been dramatic, the repeated moments of death were painful and frightening.

Living as if in a world apart from everyone else, he couldn’t share his heart with anyone.

The hearts he cultivated disappeared with each regression, leaving only emptiness where those feelings once were.

    So rather,

“Regression, salvation, whatever… I just wish it would all end…”

As he muttered quietly in lamentation, his emotions worn away:

    Rustle.

The sack before his eyes suddenly opened, and Ian Red’s corpse rose up.

    Crack, crunch!!

    Snap!!

As twisted joints found their places and color returned to pale skin:

“Ho, hermit…!! Sorr, sorry for, over, overhear, hearing. Ack!”

    “Huh, damn!! W-what is this?!”

    “I’ll…!! I, ugh, argh…!!!”

    Snap!

Ian Red put his dislocated jaw back in place and extended his right hand.

“Regression. I will end it for you.”
