Ch.108Angel Tip 12
by fnovelpia
Early morning.
The fox leaped into the navy-blue forest.
“Eleven-.”
She savored the dawn air as she walked barefoot through the grass.
Then suddenly, she turned to look back at the villa she had left.
Inside were the collapsed 09 and Misha.
Misha was covering her eyes with both hands, counting numbers.
“Twenty-.”
Seeing this, Siho hurriedly ran toward the forest.
The sound of crushing fallen leaves echoed around her.
Her white t-shirt fluttered in the breeze.
Soon, that t-shirt disappeared completely into the forest.
Misha then stopped counting.
Through the gaps between her fingers, she confirmed her sister had vanished.
“Thirty…”
Misha stopped counting.
She stared down at the collapsed 09.
Soon, 09 opened her twitching eyes halfway.
She glared murderously at the girl who had betrayed her.
“How dare you betray us…?”
09 struggled to get up somehow.
Finally managing to rise, she grabbed Dohyun’s arm, whose power had disappeared.
No matter how hard she tried, the healing ability wouldn’t activate.
“Did you take my power too?”
A dejected 09 asked Misha with a resentful voice.
But the girl responded to her reaction with indifference.
“I just returned it to its original owner.”
“Do you think you can survive after doing this?”
I will survive.
Misha slowly repeated those five syllables in her mind.
Then, as if something occurred to her, she smiled at 09.
“I won’t.”
09 couldn’t understand her smile.
She wondered if Misha had truly gone mad from transferring essence too often.
“I shouldn’t be alive.”
“What are you talking about…?”
“If I stay alive, I’ll soon kill my sister, as ordered.”
“You’re going to kill yourself for that damn woman?”
09’s red eyes stared blankly at Misha.
The blonde girl brushed back her hair, revealing her delicate forehead.
“Yes. I’m going to kill myself.”
Perhaps because it was still dawn.
Her blue eyes seemed even lonelier.
Misha took out the pill bottle Shinae had given her.
Two glass bottles labeled “Angel Tip.”
She handed one of them to 09.
“You should escape at least. My sister’s friends will be storming in here soon.”
“Giving me medicine after making me sick?”
09 snorted in disbelief.
Misha responded with a bitter smile.
“I’m sorry. But I couldn’t just stand by and watch you kill my sister.”
09 took the medicine Misha gave her.
She stuffed it roughly into her pocket.
“This doesn’t mean we’re reconciled. You’ll pay for your betrayal.”
“Yes. If I return alive, I’ll certainly pay.”
09 slowly backed away.
Then she hurried to her room to pack her belongings.
Meanwhile, Misha grabbed the oil container she had brought out.
The girl, carrying a container almost her own size, evenly sprayed petroleum throughout the villa.
The acrid smell permeated the entire house.
Finding it difficult to breathe, Misha coughed as she emptied the entire container.
“—.”
Soon, 09 came downstairs carrying a thick sports bag.
The two exchanged their final farewells.
Under the blazing villa.
“Take care.”
Misha waved her hand as if she would never see her again.
09 muttered to herself at the sight.
“Crazy bitch…”
The two who had struggled together for years headed in their separate directions.
09 toward the distant blue horizon.
Misha toward the burning villa.
However.
The two couldn’t part immediately.
Because from far across the horizon where 09 was heading, small vibrations began approaching.
The relentless sound of tires crushing the ground.
The angry roar of an engine.
Definitely a car.
An expensive sports car at that.
09 stopped abruptly.
She saw twin headlights gradually approaching from the distance.
Inside were the women who had killed her comrades.
“Oh shit…”
She slowly backed away and eventually returned to the burning villa.
Unlike 09, Misha wasn’t intimidated at all by the approaching shadow of death.
The girl took out the Angel Tip she had kept in her pocket.
She stared at it intently.
Misha’s palm opened indifferently.
The glass bottle fell to the ground.
The bottle broke helplessly upon hitting the gravel, and the small pills burrowed between the stones, becoming impossible to find.
Soon, a black Porsche arrived in front of the villa.
Three women who had lost someone precious stepped elegantly out of the car.
“…”
Two rankers who cared for Siho.
And the hunter who loved Dohyun.
The three approached the two villains in front of the burning villa.
Misha calmly said to 09:
“Run to the forest. If you head south, you’ll reach a village.”
Even as she spoke, Misha stood straight, facing the two rankers.
She showed no fear at all when looking at Anna and Jeoksa.
Despite having observed their power while watching Siho.
“…”
09 nodded silently after seeing this.
Then she hurriedly began fleeing toward the blue forest.
“Hello, everyone.”
Misha blocked the three people to help 09 escape.
With her hands behind her back, she greeted them with a bright smile.
With a pretty, girlish smile.
“Is this child a ranker too?”
Jisoo asked with a somewhat bewildered face.
Jeoksa answered with a calm expression.
“She might be. Seeing how she let her comrade escape first, she could be stronger.”
“That’s right, thank you for recognizing that, Miss Jeoksa.”
Jeoksa’s eyebrow twitched at the fact that the girl knew her name.
Because she and Misha were clearly meeting for the first time.
“I’ve been watching from afar. You’re strong and beautiful enough for my sister to like you.”
“You know a lot. Then it would be best to return Siho to us now.”
“…”
Despite the organization’s typical threat, Misha still didn’t lose her smile.
She smiled ferociously with her eyes half-closed.
“You can take her after you kill me.”
Under the burning villa.
Beneath the dancing flames, the girl’s blue eyes flashed.
And soon, the color of her right eye began to change.
To a fiery red.
In that eye.
The number 03 was tattooed.
“I’ve been so envious of all of you.”
“How you could stay by my sister’s side so shamelessly after killing so many people.”
“It’s so unfair.”
Misha gently extended both hands.
As if responding to her call, the flames consuming the villa flickered.
“All of you will have to die with me.”
“Only then can my sister be happy with much better people than you.”
Misha stretched the flames toward the three.
The fire demon soared high into the air.
And then, as if alive, it plunged down toward them.
The girl watched where the flames fell.
With a serious face that showed no intention of letting her guard down.
As the flames subsided, a thick flesh shield was revealed.
Just like when Jeoksa had protected Siho from the explosion.
From inside the shield, Anna spoke to the two.
“You two go after the one who ran away. I’ll handle this one.”
“Wouldn’t it be better if we dealt with her together first?”
“That’s right, Anna…”
When the two asked, Anna calmly shook her head.
Then she stepped out of the flesh shield alone.
“I prefer fighting alone.”
Misha put her hands together with an expressionless face.
The flickering flames all hardened like solids.
Then, like spears, they surged toward Anna from all directions.
But the white-haired killer didn’t back down from the spectacular attack.
Instead, she charged forward, targeting Misha, the caster.
Misha’s golden hair fluttered.
That hair was split in half by a sharp dagger strike.
Misha bent her knees, barely avoiding the blade.
A resolute strike that didn’t discriminate whether the opponent was a girl or an old person.
Misha responded to that frenzied attack by pressing the switch on her nape.
With her accelerated movements, she immediately struck Anna’s stomach.
She targeted the wound inflicted by 06.
Anna’s brow furrowed.
But she immediately raised her knee, striking the girl’s stomach with equal force.
Misha’s eyebrow twitched at the knee digging into her abdomen.
She quickly focused all her energy on her struck stomach to block the pain.
When her knee was blocked, Anna rotated her waist.
She delivered a back kick to Misha’s head.
The girl’s head turned 180 degrees.
“Anna’s attacks are certainly fierce.”
Misha grabbed her head as if nothing was wrong.
She calmly reattached it to her neck like assembling a toy.
“You deserve the name Danilova.”
Anna briefly paused her attack at that name.
Danilova.
Few know the meaning of that unpleasant name.
Most died when the facility was destroyed.
That name comes from the research director, Tolkin Danilova.
Only his finest creations received this name.
Only three test subjects were given the name Danilova.
Three abilities representing humans.
The strong physical abilities unique to humans.
The soul unique to humans.
And the dominion over other species that only humans can achieve.
Anna, Misha, Park.
Finally, two of them had gathered here.
Misha put her palms together.
Then she gently twisted her joined palms.
“…!”
Her shadow on the ground rose up.
It transformed into two massive hands that grabbed both of Anna’s arms.
A strength that could originally subdue even a bull.
But Anna tore them all off as easily as if they were weeds.
Still, during that time, Misha was able to secure a moment when Anna was distracted.
The girl immediately pressed the switch embedded in her collarbone.
Soon, a red dot appeared where Anna was standing.
Like 09’s self-targeting coordinates.
Thanks to this, the ground where Anna stood began to sink.
She endured the strong gravity with her arms curled up, seemingly in pain.
But even in this situation, the killer wasn’t intimidated at all.
Rather, she just looked at Misha with a concerned expression.
“If you’re also a Danilova, you must be the next victim after me.”
At that question, Misha tilted her head.
The woman once known as the cold-blooded killer at the facility had become quite human in her speech.
“How did you endure all those experiments with such a young body?”
Anna remembered.
To survive, one had to kill others, and unpleasant drugs were injected daily.
If unlucky, the drugs would cause side effects leading to death.
The test subjects had to fight not only humans but also the drugs injected into their bodies.
“I had to endure or die. I just tried to survive like all those many people.”
“But now you seem desperate to die.”
“Because that’s the only way I can save my sister.”
Anna frowned at these incomprehensible words.
Misha calmly explained to her.
After all, Anna couldn’t move while under the self-targeting attack.
“Before you, there was another who received the Danilova name at the facility.”
“I’ve heard of that.”
“She was created to perfectly control all test subjects in the facility. After you escaped, she took over the facility and branded this mark on the surviving subjects.”
Misha pointed to her right eye with her finger.
The number 03 embedded in her iris pulsed faintly.
“Everyone branded with this mark must follow her orders. And today, she ordered me to kill my sister Siho.”
Anna’s clouded eyes flashed.
Misha nodded calmly, as if this was the reaction she had expected.
“Now that this place has been exposed, I must go kill my sister no matter what.”
The black halo cast by the burning flames draped over Misha.
She placed her hand on her chest and spoke calmly.
“So please… kill me.”
Anna remained silent for a moment.
For someone who had only recently learned emotions, understanding Misha’s situation was no easy task.
But one thing was certain.
Compassion.
Somehow, Anna had become capable of feeling compassion for others, just like Siho.
Even for someone who had tried to kill her.
Anna bit her lip hard.
Black blood dripped down her chin.
The taste of blood cleared her mind.
As a former test subject, she grew stronger when bleeding.
Strong enough to easily escape the gravity self-targeting.
The killer instantly lunged at Misha.
The two fell together onto the gravel.
On the gravel were broken glass bottles and pills.
And Anna knew what those pills were.
The problematic drugs that 06 had consumed in large quantities.
Just two pills would make someone insanely strong, but Misha hadn’t taken them.
Instead, she had thrown them all away.
The two Russian women looked at each other.
Misha looked up at Anna with reddened eyes.
Anna’s white hair tickled Misha’s face as she straddled her.
Soon, transparent tears flowed from the girl’s eyes.
“You really are strong, Anna.”
“Now please use that strength to twist my neck.”
“So I can never move again.”
