Ch.104Sleeping Minotaur of the Wilderness (2)

    Black space.

In this space where nothing could be seen, a minotaur continued to move and exhaust its body.

    “Mmmoooo…”

The small minotaur kept sobbing as if deeply saddened.

He had shrunk so much that despite this being his mental space, Khan was now smaller than a calf—about the size of a small dog. One look was enough to tell his mental state was extremely precarious.

Yet even while sobbing, he had no choice but to continue his training.

    “Mmmoooo… (Mary… Mary…)”

Even while continuing his training, he kept calling out one being’s name.

He had been trapped in this black space for so long he couldn’t tell how much time had passed, and until recently, he had continued to move his body.

If he escaped from here, he would annihilate humans and participants to become the winner and wish for Mary’s revival.

But perhaps because the wait had been too long, his mind continued to wear down.

Training in an empty space was something he could endure. After all, before meeting Mary, he had lived with his mother for two years and wandered alone for three.

But after living with Mary for two years, he missed her chatter. Her scent, her smile, her eye-smile.

He missed everything about her and hated this world that had taken her away, but what he loathed most was himself.

If he had controlled his anger, or if he had trusted his instincts despite failing to control his rage, if he had hidden underground when he saw the cult members and if Mary had hidden somewhere…

His confidence in victory had been arrogance, and the fact that this arrogance had driven Mary to her death was unbearably sad.

That’s why Khan pushed his body to the limit, wearing down his mind in preparation for when he would leave this black space.

    Crack—

    And that moment finally arrived.

At the sound that occurred in the black space surrounding him, Khan stopped moving and lifted his head toward the noise—the only sound besides his own movements in this otherwise silent space.

The source of the noise, a crack forming in the ceiling, began to let light into his black space.

    Crack—

As the crack grew larger, eventually spreading throughout the entire black space.

    “Khan, it’s time to begin.”

    “Mmoo—”

Nodding at Mary’s voice coming from somewhere, Khan prepared to go outside.

    Crash—!

As the black space surrounding Khan shattered, his small minotaur form transformed into a gigantic minotaur and disappeared into the bright space.

    MOOOOOOO——!!!!

The first thing Khan did after emerging from the black space was to announce his return to the world with a roar.

His roar now carried physical power, causing everything around him to be blown away by the sound reverberating from high in the sky.

And now, his roar would instantly kill weak monsters and humans who heard it, drive the mediocre ones mad, and only the strong could withstand it.

“Huh—, indeed. It’s been a while since a mere roar made me feel this tingly.”

“Cain, not Mr. Cain anymore. Since this situation arose because of those you brought, I trust you’ll handle it properly.”

“That monster? That’s asking too much. Well, I’ll do what I can.”

Those gathered at Khan’s feet were the strong ones of this world who only felt a tingling sensation after hearing Khan’s roar.

But The One’s crew members weren’t so fortunate.

    Thud— Thud—

Most of the crew members were just people who steered the ship or operated its weapons.

Hearing Khan’s roar up close, most of them died instantly, while mediocre expert-level warriors or magicians below the 6th circle all lost their minds.

    “Hehehe! Huhehehehe—!!”

    “Yeehaw—!”

“Accept the rage! The blessing of the Destruction God is with us!”

“Destroy everything! Offer it to the Destruction God’s altar!”

During the three years Khan was sealed, he had unknowingly gained followers, and their prayers eventually became faith that set him on the path to becoming a demigod.

The attribute born from this, Frenzied Minotaur, turned those driven mad by Khan’s roar into his followers.

“Damn it! Subdue all those who’ve gone mad! If you can’t subdue them, kill them!”

    “Hehehehe—!”

“Destruction God! Destruction God! Destruction God!”

“The Destruction God is with us— hahahaha!”

    “Destruction———!!!!!”

While Captain Ares was dealing with the problems on his ship, other individuals moved.

Cain of the Great Sword, Lee Juyeon the Saintess of Agni, Bug known as “Ice is Strong” the Great Chieftain of the North, Cardinal Baxter who follows Uldur, Unicorn Jerome who is the Hero’s leg and comrade.

And Lepin, Uldur’s daughter and a Hero.

These challengers who came after hearing news that the continent had been split, now moved to challenge the mighty Khan who stood kilometers tall.

“O Uldur! Your pitiful lambs now face a mighty foe! Lend your powerful strength and the mental fortitude to fight against everything to those before me! Uldur’s Blessing!”

Cardinal Baxter made the first move.

Whether he had the skill to become a cardinal at such a young age or not, he greatly increased everyone’s abilities and used Uldur’s Blessing—which had disappeared when the mythical age gave way to the human age—to increase mental strength to resist Khan’s earlier roar.

Everyone except Lee Juyeon, the Saintess of Agni, accepted the blessing, and using their enhanced physical abilities, they began their attack.

    “Hiyah—!”

    First was Cain’s great sword.

His sword, swirling with unrefined red aura, was swung, and the red aura flew instantly, leaving a fairly deep wound on Khan’s ankle.

    “Lee Juyeon!”

And that wound was cauterized by Juyeon’s black flame, preventing the wound from regenerating.

    “Freeze!”

Bug, made of ice, created a massive ice chunk emitting frigid cold and threw it at Khan’s other leg to prevent movement, then sent a giant ice sword flying to further open the wounded area.

Then came Jerome and Lepin’s attacks.

    “Haaah—!!”

A giant spear of light flew toward the wounded area, and befitting a Hero, succeeded in inflicting the largest wound on Khan’s ankle among them all.

    And finally, Jerome’s strike.

He wrapped divine power around his horn and charged while spinning his body like a drill, successfully further tearing open the wound Lepin had made.

The wound was now so large that what appeared to be white bone was visible, and thanks to Juyeon, it wasn’t regenerating properly.

Their goal of first taking away his mobility seemed to be succeeding.

If only the area they had attacked hadn’t been merely equivalent to trimming overgrown hooves.

    Boom—

And finally, in response to their attacks, Khan, who stood kilometers tall, began to move.

“Damn! An attack is coming! Everyone prepare!”

“O El Rapim, we are Uldur’s faithful servants and devout sheep. Shield us with your barrier from evil things! El Rapim’s Barrier!”

“O Agni, great sun god who governs regeneration after burning everything! Your faithful servant is now in danger and requests your help! Flame of Regeneration!”

The two from the Uldur Order used El Rapim’s Barrier that blocks evil things that don’t believe in Uldur, while Juyeon used Flame of Regeneration, which doesn’t provide proper defense but maximizes regenerative ability, to prepare for Khan’s attack, but…

Khan had little interest in those who attacked him.

No, to him, who didn’t even perceive them as a threat, they were nothing more than flies.

    Rumble—!!

In Khan’s hand was black lightning kilometers long, matching his height.

“Wait…! If we get hit by that…!”

When everyone, including Cardinal Baxter who was watching the scene, realized that being hit by that attack meant instant death, Khan took a throwing stance with the lightning spear.

    Moo—!

With a short grunt, he hurled the massive black lightning far away.

    “Where did he throw it?!”

“In that direction…! Northeast! Either northeast of Grancia Island or toward Paradise or the Agni Kingdom!”

    Boom—!!

Not long after the massive black lightning disappeared, black lightning struck from the sky.

Though they couldn’t tell exactly what it had done, one thing was clear.

The black lightning had fallen on some island, and all life forms there would have been completely annihilated.

    Moooo…

As those watching were struck speechless, only the low cry of the minotaur filled the battlefield.
