Ch.103The Green Tower Isolation Incident (3)

    # “I’m sure she didn’t do it on purpose…!”

Seria was doing her best to defend me, thinking I was angry.

Well… it was certainly a sight that would make anyone angry.

Who wouldn’t be upset after being treated like a water rocket?

    “This much is nothing…”

Of course, as soon as I saw it, I was irritated and thought “you all should just die,” but since I heard these kinds of comments often, I was used to it.

These rumors had been circulating ever since people found out I was close with Eterna…

Hearing such things at this point didn’t particularly upset me.

It was just a bit annoying.

Nothing is more foolish than paying attention to the words of mere mortals…

    “Hehe…”

But whatever I think, it’s my own business, right?

This person needs to be banned from using the forum for a while.

Without hesitation, I tracked the IP of the friend who was expounding their water rocket theory, and personally blocked not only their MagicPad but their personal information as well.

This feature was a real hit.

The fact remained that everyone in the Magical Kingdom was using their pads to access the forums, so I could trace their addresses, find the individual users, and ban them completely.

In a modern society that values personal information, this would cause an uproar, but unfortunately, this place was somewhat distant from modernity.

Even if someone complained about it, no one would listen.

They’d look at you strangely instead.

“This is how Eterna made it! Are you questioning Eterna’s will?” That kind of attitude.

Now that I think about it… this place may be called a Magical Kingdom, but isn’t it essentially a dictatorship?

I scratched my head and continued reading the forum.

    Certainly…

‘This… won’t be easy to fix if it gets out.’

It didn’t particularly matter to me, but the current state of the Green Tower would be torn apart mercilessly if seen by people from other Magic Towers or the old elves.

I could understand why Seria had come to me for help, nearly in tears…

    ‘This needs a rollback.’

By this point, a rollback was the only solution I could offer.

No matter how good I was at management, there were limits.

I couldn’t delete all these posts.

There was an option to selectively delete posts, but as I mentioned earlier, there were limits to what I could do alone.

    I couldn’t delete everything.

There was simply too much content.

Just eyeballing it, there seemed to be thousands of posts—how could I delete them all?

    ‘Hmm…’

    No choice, I guess.

    – I’ll have to do a rollback.

    – Huh? Rollback?

    – I’m planning to roll back just the Green Tower forum. Why? Is there a problem?

Seria seemed surprised by my rollback declaration.

    – Is that really okay…?

    – Honestly, I don’t know. I’m not even sure if Eterna will agree to it.

If I suddenly asked to turn back time for just the Green Tower forum, how would she take it?

If she asked why I needed to do such a troublesome thing, I wouldn’t have an answer.

After all, some of the content written here included malicious posts about Eterna.

Even though she merely reigned as the founder of the Magical Kingdom without directly interfering in matters, if she saw posts insulting her, even Eterna couldn’t help but be bothered.

    And then…

‘An elf who earned the hatred of a magic Transcendent…’

She might waste away and die…

    I couldn’t let that happen.

    ‘Sigh…’

How is it that elves who’ve lived for a thousand years act less wisely than those who haven’t lived as long?

Though considering what they’ve endured from other Magic Towers until now, perhaps it’s remarkable that they’ve limited themselves to just gossiping within their own tower.

It’s funny to call that remarkable, but still.

I let out a deep sigh.

‘Being an administrator is nothing but trouble…’

I’m just developing complaints about Eterna.

I never wanted to become the top administrator of TowerInside, but she dumped the administrator position on me while she happily enjoyed herself.

Cutting off her arm that time wasn’t enough.

Since she had already become a Transcendent and her physical body was half-meaningless, she probably didn’t even feel pain when I cut it off.

    Anyway,

That’s that, and this is this.

    – Wait a moment

    I immediately contacted Eterna.

    – Eterna. Could you do me one more favor?

    – How strange… you don’t usually ask for favors this often, little sister Midir.

    ‘This woman…’

Why am I your little sister?

She already knew I was Count Vladimir, yet she called me little sister—as someone with Korea’s unique Confucian mindset, I didn’t feel good about it.

No Korean likes being treated as younger by someone who is actually younger.

    – Never mind that. Is it possible to roll back just a specific forum to a few hours ago?

    – I can do it, but why?

    – Seria messed with it and now it’s a disaster. The settings seem to be tangled up, and I’m hesitant to touch it myself.

She should agree if I put it this way.

The real problem wasn’t the Green Tower settings but the posts written there, but if I mentioned that, even someone as disinterested in worldly affairs as Eterna might become curious and check it out.

It was better to make an excuse to prevent that.

So I thought this would be sufficient, but…

    – The way you’re talking makes me think there’s something else going on?

Eterna casually caught me off guard.

    ‘Huh.’

We weren’t even talking face to face, just exchanging messages, so how could she tell I was hiding something?

Could she read my mind through the MagicPad?

    I laughed incredulously.

    – What are you talking about… Never mind, I’ll handle it myself.

A rollback might not work, but if I just delete the problematic posts properly, it shouldn’t be a major issue.

Once I understood the severity of the situation, I could push the chaotic Green Tower forum to the back with spam posts.

The old elves wouldn’t bother scrolling down that far anyway.

A rollback would certainly be the best solution, but when I considered whether it was worth revealing the current state of the Green Tower forum to get that help, the answer was no.

It would be counterproductive if the one person who shouldn’t see it ended up seeing it.

    – I can do it for you.

    – Are you saying you will or you won’t?

    – It’s nothing special…

    Eterna paused for a moment.

    After a while,

    – Let’s just go out together sometime later.

    – …Go out?

Suddenly, what’s with this talk of going out?

I was momentarily stunned because I never expected such words from Eterna.

    – You’re talking as if I never go out.

    – Don’t you?

    – I do when I need to…

    No.

I’ve never seen her go out, not even once.

Even though we haven’t been living together that long… one’s true nature is something you can figure out without observing for too long.

The Eterna I knew was the type who would stay cooped up in her room rather than enjoy going out.

    But…

    ‘If that’s all it takes…’

If she’s satisfied with just going on an outing together, it would be impolite to press the matter further.

    I decided to accept.

    – Then please do the rollback.

    – Hmm…

    – What now?

    – Nothing… you just seem to care about Seria more than I expected.

    What’s with her suddenly?

She seems to have changed subtly since her defeat in our duel.

When I first met her, she was someone who didn’t care about anything except forums—seemingly empty inside despite her appearance—but she’s changed tremendously since then.

In less than a year, no less.

    – Asking to turn back time… that’s not something just anyone can do, Midir.

    – Yes, yes, we can do it with a mana contract, right?

    – With these conditions…

Anyway, it’s fortunate she’ll do the rollback.

    This should work.

Feeling that I had adequately resolved the issue, my tension eased, but I was overlooking one thing.

Thinking about it now, I should have added the condition that she not look at the Green Tower forum before asking the favor.

She might have questioned it, but a magician’s contract had to be strictly observed, so even a Transcendent would have to abide by it.

But I was so focused on getting the rollback that I forgot the real purpose,

    And in the end…

    – Why is the forum in this state?

    “Ah.”

    I was completely exposed.

Of course, Eterna, who accessed the Green Tower forum for the rollback, was the creator of TowerInside itself, unlike me who had merely received the position of top administrator, so the ban didn’t apply to her.

    ‘Oops…’

    This is bad.

What am I going to tell Seria?

    Well, we’re doomed.
