Black Wizard
by Afuhfuihgs
The wizard job is quite difficult in Leore.
Tankers and melee dealers who fight up close are also difficult, but among ranged jobs, the wizard is considered quite difficult.
The reason is, as everyone knows, that shitty system called casting.
It’s not like magic just *ppong ppong* comes out when you use it; you have to cast the magic through a spell.
The casting time is short for light magic and long for heavy magic.
If you move in the middle of casting, the casting is canceled. The moment that happens, the damage output immediately plummets.
Wizard-type jobs, therefore, experience considerable difficulty in the early trials.
In particular, among wizards, the Sorceress has the longest casting time of all wizards.
So, the difference between the low and high points is quite large.
There are inconveniences in dealing damage, but the damage is stronger than other jobs. That’s why wizard jobs are often called glass cannons.
But the Black Wizard is beyond a glass cannon; it’s just a glass nuke.
Even I can see that the damage multiplier is ridiculously high.
,This seems too tricky to use in raids?
The casting isn’t much different from the Sorceress, but the problem is that you have to consume health every time you use a powerful skill.
In a raid, where each area-of-effect attack determines life or death, what if a Black Wizard uses magic by consuming their own health?
You’ll get a smack on the back of the head from the healer right away.
,This is not just sucking the team’s blood dry, but sucking them dry to death?
It’s not good just because the damage is high. It’s a structure where the healer can’t deal damage as much.
Let’s take an example.
Let’s say an area-of-effect attack comes in a hard difficulty raid.
Area-of-effect attacks that deal strong damage in raids are patterns that always come out.
If each party member doesn’t apply a debuff to the boss, damage comes that’s enough to instantly kill you.
In really precarious cases, there are many times when you have less than 5% health left.
In that situation, what if a Black Wizard suddenly uses a skill that consumes their own health?
If you’re already on the verge of dying the moment you receive an area-of-effect attack, the healer must, of course, fill all allies’ health to 100%.
But the Black Wizard keeps losing health alone.
In most cases, individual heals are not given to damage dealers, except for the tank. Why? In a situation where you have to fill the health of a total of 8 party members, who would use a skill to heal each one separately? You can just use an area-of-effect heal skill.
But because of that one Black Wizard, you have to cast area heals and individual heals.
On top of that, periodically.
From the healer’s point of view, it’s not just frustrating, it’s hateful.
Leore basically has a structure where healers also deal damage.
Healers should heal only to the extent that party members don’t die, and deal damage the rest of the time.
But what if the Black Wizard keeps losing health alone?
Wow… if I were the party leader, I would never accept a Black Wizard.
In other words, the Black Wizard is just a job that’s only good for stat-padding.
But there’s one problem. This Black Wizard… is too fun.
Wina is kindly teaching me right next to me, and black magic. It’s so romantic.
If the Sorceress is a wizard who uses fire, lightning, and ice, the Black Wizard also uses fire, lightning, and ice, but the effects are all jet black.
Black fire, black lightning, black ice.
They clearly use the same properties, but they look completely opposite in terms of effects.
It’s a concept full of chuunibyou.
Every time I use magic, my health decreases, and a black aura flows from one eye.
On top of that, the effect of health decreasing is quite stylish.
A dark red aura spreads from the location of the heart, wraps around the whole body, sucks the health, and the aura gathers and gathers into the staff, and the magic goes *paat!* and out.
On top of that, the impact of each magic is no joke.
,Arang-nim… you’re a genius.
,Me? Rather than me being a genius… I think I’m a genius when it comes to what Wina teaches?
Even though it’s black magic that you can’t naturally master on your own and can’t learn from anyone else, she made it so that I understood it perfectly.
[Quest Complete]
[Black Wizard]
You have learned all the essence of the Black Wizard from the witch.
The existence of the Black Wizard spreads in this world.
The Black Wizard’s job change quest can be done by Black Wizards in the world.
*Users who do the first job change can change jobs at max level.

[Completely OP Black Wizard]
[Black Wizard, is this right?]
No, *ssibal*, it’s too hard to use even in dungeons?
No, every time I use the last skill in the damage rotation, 20% of my health chunks off?
If the damage is strong, it’s slander ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ It sucks the healer’s meter so much
On top of that, the casting is similar to the Sorceress, but the Sorceress has a skill to skip casting every 30 seconds, but this *byeongsine* Black Wizard doesn’t have anything like that
It’s just pure casting from start to finish. Was this made with any thought?

-ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I just won’t heal them
ㄴThat’s right ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
-This kind of selfish job is a bit much in a party game ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
-What’s scary is that there’s no synergy either ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
ㄴㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ The Sorceress has synergy
ㄴThey said they’ll deal damage as much as there’s no synergy~
ㄴㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Just cut them off immediately
[Black Wizard Discoverer]
(The Black Wizard displayed as level 100 in Arang’s search information window in the friend list)
Isn’t this definitely Arang?
It hasn’t even been 6 hours since the Black Wizard came out, and they’re already max level? Isn’t the answer just right there ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Maybe the Black Wizard itself was very related to the 5th world?

-Ah, is it you again, Arang-nim
-Black Wizard and Arang go well together ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
-But looking at Arang, it seems like they don’t like pure damage dealers that much
ㄴHuh? They did Assassin and Berserker too?
ㄴAh, now that I think about it, that’s right
ㄴIt’s not that they don’t like pure damage dealers, it’s just that they’ve never done a ranged job
ㄴAh, that’s right
ㄴThen is the Black Wizard their first ranged job?
ㄴThey probably won’t do it because it’s impossible to recruit in raids ㅋㅋㅋ

Wina swallowed as she watched Arang handle black magic in front of her as if it were originally a part of them.
A small body, a seemingly delicate figure. But the presence emanating from that body and the sight of them using tremendous black magic made those who saw it tremble.
Wina was about to close her eyes and fear what kind of negative impact she had made on this world.
The magic sounds she had been hearing until just now disappeared, and Wina heard the sound of light footsteps, *chong chong*, and opened her eyes and looked ahead.
The person who came was, of course, Arang.
Arang, who was supposed to be a being that would destroy the world, waved at Wina with a cute face and a pure smile that didn’t feel any evil.
,Wina, how is it!?
Wina was reminded of the children she used to take care of by Arang’s appearance, as if a puppy was wanting a reward after listening to a command, and she unknowingly stroked Arang’s head.
,!? I, I’m sorry!!!
Wina immediately realized what she had done, quickly took her hand away, immediately backed away, and bowed to Arang.
,Huh? What?
Arang grabbed Wina’s head, who was suddenly bowing, with a puzzled expression and made her look at them.
,Don’t do weird things. Just treat me like a normal person.
,Ah, I understand.

A scarecrow in front of the guild house.
I was creating a damage rotation for the Black Wizard.
There isn’t a damage rotation that’s exactly set for each job in Leore.
The reason is that Leore isn’t a game with skills and gimmicks that are exactly set, but a virtual world. It’s a highly realistic game, so rather than the feeling of a damage rotation, you have to use appropriate skills in each momentary situation.
But there are minor damage rotations.
A damage rotation is managing each job’s self-buffs and debuffs, and making sure that skills with cooldowns don’t just sit idle.
In this regard, Leore has a very high degree of freedom in damage rotations, to the extent that the damage rotations of users in the rankings on the Leore log site are all different.
In other words, it’s that difficult.
The Black Wizard basically has an ice buff, a fire buff, and a lightning debuff.
It’s a feeling of maintaining damage-over-time with lightning, stacking buffs with ice, and bursting with fire.
Fire magic is powerful, but now the problem arises.
The more you use it, the more your health decreases.
,Isn’t there a way to reduce this risk- huh?
I used fire magic once again.
A red aura flows from the heart, touches the fingertips and toes, wraps around the whole body, and returns to the staff.
Health decreases every time the red aura moves.
Then, wouldn’t it be one way to make the red aura move less?
The red aura goes from the heart to the fingertips and toes, and then comes back, taking health.
In other words.
If I don’t have arms and legs, the red aura will go less and come back, so could it be…
I need to hold the staff, so I left only my right hand, and gathered my senses and made my left hand and both legs disappear.
And lie on the ground and use fire magic.
,Wow…
It works?
My health really decreased much less than before.
If my health originally decreased by 20% every time I used magic, now it only decreased by 10%.
Leore, you should have thought about this in advance… It’s not like I’m the only one without arms and legs.
Now you have to hire people without arms and legs to check if there are any bugs.
