Another Deron
by Afuhfuihgs
Playing Deron in this world, clearing main quests with someone was a first for me.
Every time a new expansion pack was added, I’d rush ahead alone, leaving my acquaintances unable to keep up.
Our login times were also different, so there was no way to wait.
“Arthur, the human quests are also towards the World Tree’s Rest, right?”
“Yeah.”
I compared my quest with Arthur’s, just in case.
Sometimes, the quest methods for humans and demons were completely opposite.
“That’s a relief.”

The main quest pointed to a place that was the main stage of the previous expansion.
Arthur and I left the castle together, spreading our hands high.
“Come out!”
After shouting powerfully, a majestic and cool Windwalker, Ppiyak-i, popped out from the magic circle that appeared in the air.
“Ppiyaaak!”
Its cry was also loud.
I turned to Arthur with a triumphant expression.
Windwalkers had a long respawn time and many competitors, so they were rare mounts even on the Korean server.
Not to mention a user on the global server. There were more people than on the Korean server, so the competition must have been even fiercer.
“Waaah…”
As expected, Arthur exclaimed while looking at my Ppiyak-i.
My shoulders felt like they were about to dance.
I chuckled softly and climbed onto Ppiyak-i’s back.
“Arthur, summon yours too. Let’s fly quickly.”
“Hey, Yeon?”
“Yeah?”
“Do you need a spell to summon a mount on the Korean server?”
I crossed my arms and shook my head. There wasn’t really a special spell needed.
But, wouldn’t it be a little strange if I didn’t say anything while summoning such a cool mount?
I had thought about lines like [Answer my call] [Come here, my servant], but the one I finally chose was the most plain [Come out].
It would be a little difficult to say such a long line in a hurry.
“I see. Yeon really enjoys playing games.”
Arthur said that and summoned his Griffin.
Looks like there weren’t any special mounts unique to the global server.
“Let’s go!”
Pyeolreok- pyeolreok-
“Ppiyaaak!”
I soar into the sky with Arthur, who is riding the Griffin.
Looking at the direction of Lunaris Capital City, I could see users who had also started moving while riding Griffins besides us.
We can’t fall behind others.
“Run!”
“Ah. Wait up!”
As I quickly gained speed and flew forward, Arthur shouted urgently and followed.
Griffins and Windwalkers have different base speeds, so if we kept going like this, the distance between Arthur and I would widen.
I flicked Ppiyak-i’s head and reduced the speed.
“Ppyak-“
“That Windwalker. Wasn’t it hard to catch?”
“I was probably the first to discover it on the Korean server. So I caught it easily.”
“Waa… On our server, the waiting list is so long that I had to wait a month…”
“A month? No, in the first place, this kind of content is a competition, right? There are people who wait for that?”
“Actually, it’s a meaningless list. There are just people who think that way. On our server too, you had to get the Windwalker through fierce competition.”
“Does Arthur want to catch one too?”
“I do want to catch one, but I have to invest too much time, right?”
That’s true. The Windwalker had a fixed respawn cycle, but the respawn location was random, so if you were unlucky, you could be snatched away by another user right in front of your eyes.
Helena and I were just lucky.
“There it is!”
As I was talking with Arthur and moving, we had already arrived at our destination.
I controlled Ppiyak-i to go down.
The purified forest, where the evil energy from another world had passed through, was very clean.
The purple fog that obscured the view like before could not be found.
In the middle of such a forest, a very suspicious large portal had been created.
[Portal of Another World.]
The guide marker of the main quest was pointing inside that portal.
It seemed like we had to take another portal and move to another dimension.
“Shall we go?”
I got off Ppiyak-i and asked Arthur, who had come to my side.
She nodded with a slightly nervous look.
Looking at the large portal, I felt a little disappointed.
How fun would it have been if Helena was here with us.
If it was Helena, who had a cozy and warm personality, she would have gotten along well with Arthur too. It was truly a shame.
But what could I do. I couldn’t just pester someone who was busy in reality to log into the game.
Arthur and I slowly walked and passed through the portal.
At that moment, with a bright light, my body was instantly blown somewhere.
It was a sensation that I had felt every time I used a portal.
Thanks to the sensation that was too realistic for a game, many people said.
Weren’t we really moving to another dimension.
That’s a useless thought.
I shook my head and rubbed my blurry eyes.
The bright light that enveloped my body slowly subsided, and the surrounding scenery slowly revealed itself.
The new expansion pack had the theme [Another Deron: Rift of Another World].
It was enough to put up such a title name.
The surrounding scenery was familiar. If I hadn’t crossed the portal, I would have believed that I had used a return stone to fly near Lunaris Capital City.
“This is…!”
Arthur must have felt something similar too.
Arthur, with her sparkling blue eyes, was constantly looking around.
It wasn’t just us. The people who had crossed over to this area were checking the information of the map with puzzled expressions.
I could tell through the map. This area was not the existing Deron that we were in.
Before following the main quest, the NPC in the Adventurer’s Guild said. They had discovered a world similar to Deron in the rift of dimensions.
But it wasn’t just similar. It was completely the same place, so much so that I would believe it was the opposite world reflected in a mirror.
“Isn’t this expansion pack too easy?”
Arthur, who had been sparkling her eyes and looking around, muttered in a deflated voice.
But it’s too early to be disappointed yet. If you look at the images of the expansion pack that were released in advance before the server opened, there were areas that didn’t exist before.
“Let’s go clear the quest for now.”
“Okay.”
Since it’s a familiar place, I plan to pass through it quickly.
I spread my hands and shouted powerfully.
“Come out!”
I confirmed it through Arthur. Windwalkers were considered rare mounts even on the global server.
If so, now was the time to show off my Ppiyak-i in this place.
But-
[Summoning of mounts is prohibited in this area.]
“Heok…”
The Ppiyak-i I was expecting didn’t come out.
I checked the message that appeared in front of my eyes and hurriedly scanned the surroundings.
Because I shouted loudly, attention was focused on me.
I felt my face slightly flushed from the gazes of others.
This kind of situation often comes up when playing role-playing games.
The more it is like this, the more brazen you have to act.
“Hmm… It seems like it’s a different place from the existing world, so I can’t summon it.”
Arthur blankly nodded at my words.
It’s a shame. If Snow Mage was by my side, she would have matched me and said a word, but.
Why are my acquaintances’ login times all different?
“Ahem… Let’s start for now.”
If you can’t ride a mount, you can just walk.
I said to Arthur and started walking ahead.
I walk along the road and recall faint memories.
“Arthur. Do you remember this road?”
“Yeah. It reminds me of when I first started Deron.”
That’s right. This road that I’m walking again was also the road that beginners who had just started Deron walked.
Beginners who didn’t have a job yet held swords and staffs in their hands and headed to Lunaris Capital City.
I nodded, recalling the memories of that day.
Even though the servers were different, the roads we walked were similar.
After chatting with Arthur and walking for a while, we were finally able to arrive in front of a large castle.
“What…”
The guide marker of the quest was pointing inside the large castle.
Castle, yes, castle. Surely Lunaris Capital City should have been there.
But, in this world’s Deron, another castle was in place instead of Lunaris Capital City.
“Solaris…?”
What was hanging on the outer wall of the castle was the symbol of the Sun God Solaris. It wasn’t the symbol of Luna that shone faintly.
The outer wall of the castle also wasn’t a color that felt like a faint moonlight. It was a bright gold color that made you think of brilliant sunlight.
My heart starts to beat faster.
Really, the developers of Deron seem to know what stimulates people’s hearts well.
They make you walk the road you’ve already walked again, and make you recall faint memories.
Just when people are immersed in memories, they show you a completely different castle from the existing Deron.
It was truly an admirable area placement.
[Another Deron]
Look around Solaris Capital City 0/1
At that moment, the main quest was updated.
I pulled the hand of Arthur, who was blankly standing next to me.
Because she was wearing thick gauntlets, her hand was cold.
Should I ask her to take off her gloves later?
“Arthur.”
“Ah.”
“Let’s go quickly. We’ll fall behind like this.”
No matter what the developer’s intention is, my play style doesn’t change.
“Ah, right. We have to go.”
I led Arthur’s hand and headed to Solaris Capital City.
The surrounding users didn’t move as if they were immersed in the appearance of the castle.
“Wow… Yeon-a. Look at that. The armor is all different too.”
“Yeah. I know, so come quickly.”
There was no time to look at such details right now.
Arthur, who was looking at the armor of the guards standing as if guarding the entrance, followed with a sullen expression at my words.
The quest marker was circling around the entire capital city.
It seems like the developer wanted to show the appearance of the castle to the users.
But, you could admire the town enough later.
“Hey, hey Yeon!”
“Yeah?”
Around the time I had circled the capital city while pulling Arthur’s hand, Arthur opened her mouth.
She was looking at me with a somewhat embarrassed gaze.
“Woah, do you always play games this urgently? Like you’re being chased by time…”
“Yeah. I always do it like this?”
“But, but…”
“But?”
“The Yeon I saw in the video wasn’t like this…?”
“In the video?”
“Yeah… The Yeon that could be seen in that video was sparkling. You changed your play style so freely, right? Sometimes you became the Blood Demon King, sometimes you became a pirate captain and enjoyed sailing, and you even became a cute Umme Girl.”
“That was when I had reached the max level. I only played like that when I had raised all the specs to the highest level. And Umme Girl is…”
“So, if we clear all the main quests of this expansion pack, will you play like that again?”
“Maybe I will?”
Arthur’s eyes sparkled again at my words.
It seemed like she had made some kind of decision.
Anyway, leveling up comes first now.
I grabbed Arthur’s hand again.
