Academy – Duel (2)
I propped myself up with my trembling sword. Then I stared at Doran with shocked eyes.
“H-how…?”
“Hahahaha!”
Doran laughed like a madman as he looked at me. A sphere of electricity floated above his hand.
“What’s happening?”
“How is he casting without a staff…?”
“Th-that can’t be! Impossible!”
Shocked voices came from the surroundings.
“What’s impossible? That I’m a 5-Star Mage. Did you get complacent thinking you’d won, Rena?”
-Swoosh!
The sphere in Doran’s hand flew toward me as I knelt on one knee.
I briefly considered whether to dodge the incoming sphere.
It would be disappointing to collapse here.
I hastily rose and dodged the sphere.
-Boom!
“Oh? You dodged that?”
“Haa, haa…”
“Let’s see how long you can last then.”
Faster and stronger magic began flying from Doran’s hands.
-Boom!
-Crackle!
Despite this, I kept deflecting spells with my shaky arms and rolling to avoid them.
But my body, dulled by injuries, couldn’t perfectly evade all attacks and took another direct hit.
“Kyaaaah?!”
Electricity coursing through my body caused instant paralysis.
-Clang!
The impact made me drop my sword and collapse to the floor.
“You made me work hard till the end.”
Doran slowly approached and sneered at my convulsing form sprawled on the ground.
“I’ll admit you’re talented. Your swordsmanship could make it in Rain Academy. Just not against me.”
“Kghk, heeek…”
Glancing around from my prone position, I saw an unexpected sight – complete silence had fallen over the training hall.
‘Exactly the reaction I hoped for.’
Checking my condition, the shock had subsided somewhat with time.
Surrendering now might not be bad. But giving up here didn’t suit my image.
Wouldn’t others understand better if my prideful self tried one more time?
“N-no. Not like this…!”
I began crawling slowly toward the sword I’d dropped earlier.
“Oh? Still not giving up?”
Instantly cast electricity flew from Doran’s hand.
“Kyaaaak?!”
Hit by the spell, I screamed and collapsed face-down again.
Doran began approaching my prone form.
When he reached me, he grabbed my hair and forcibly lifted me up.
“Guhk!”
It felt like my scalp would tear off any moment.
“The great Rena-nim doesn’t look so great now. Ready to admit defeat?”
The Rena I’d been roleplaying had never lost at the academy before.
But her first defeat was now imminent.
I pretended to sniffle slightly, feigning fear of this outcome.
“Eeek! Stop… heeuk…”
The beautiful, strong Rena was now suffering with her hair grasped by this brute.
I could hear others murmuring at this pitiful sight.
I shouted at Doran as if making a final stand.
“I-it’s not over yet! To someone like you… I…”
Seeing my refusal to surrender, I felt sadism ignite in his eyes.
“Ha, still not coming to your senses?”
Doran pressed his palm against my stomach.
“Wait, what are you-“
He immediately activated an electrocution spell.
“KYAAAAAAAK?!”
Electricity surged through every part of my body. My entire form went numb with pain.
Unlike before, the close-range magic impact was on another level.
The sudden flood of pain made my body burn and begin feeling pleasure.
“Hahk, hhk… You think this can… defeat me…”
When the electricity stopped, I caught my breath briefly.
“Got it. Let’s try again?”
“Eh? Kyaaaaaahk?!”
I flailed my hands as if trying to remove Doran’s hand from the unbearable pain.
“St-stop it… Let go!”
“Wow, you’re enduring well? One more time.”
“Wait- Kghuuuk! Grgl…”
But against the continuous pain and pleasure, all I could do was drop my arms and convulse.
The cruel electric torture continued for several minutes.
This kind of torture was a novel experience after so long.
Not like being cut by a blade or punched where pain concentrates in one spot.
Electricity flowing through my entire body simultaneously tingled from skin to core, delivering incredible pain.
If I weren’t a mana user, this intensity would already be life-threatening.
But my lewd body converted the overwhelming pain into pleasure.
‘Heehee… Feels too good…’
This was everything I’d longed for from Doran.
Just as I was fully enjoying the ecstasy coursing through me, the electricity stopped.
“Ah… ah…”
My body could no longer even scream properly, just gasping soundlessly.
-Drip. Drip. Drip.
Yellow liquid began dripping from beneath my skirt.
“What? Did you piss yourself?”
Imagining myself – a girl who couldn’t endure the pain and wet herself before everyone – my soiled lower parts grew wetter.
Screams came from students watching the duel.
“Is she going to die like that? What do we do!”
“Unbelievable! Why is Rena losing to someone like him…?”
They screamed or made shocked expressions while looking at me.
Seeing their gazes, I felt my hard work at the academy had been worthwhile.
The more I struggled, the more people despaired when I fell, and the greater pleasure I felt.
‘Haa… So exhilarating.’
I fully savored that feeling while watching those despairing over me.
After a moment, I spoke with tears streaming down my desperate face.
“*Sob*… I-I surrender. Please stop now…”
“Haha, surrender’s good. But is that how you surrender? You need to show sincerity for me to end this.”
I silently admired his words.
Doran knew better than expected how to make things more humiliating.
‘I was worried, but he seems decent enough to serve as master temporarily.’
I needed to work harder to feel greater ecstasy from such a master.
I looked up at Doran with tearful, disbelieving eyes.
“Why… *sob*… After all this…”
Doran released my hair, making my body thud back to the floor.
“Now surrender properly. Unless you want another taste of this.”
Doran made crackling sounds with his hand.
“I-I’ll do it!”
I flinched at this and slowly began kneeling.
Bringing my hands to my forehead, I gradually lowered my body forward until completely prostrate.
The so-called Dogesa position.
‘Isn’t this the only “proper surrender”?’
“No! If you surrender like this, you, you’ll…”
Jade’s desperate cry came from nearby. I looked at the screaming Jade and spoke.
“…I’m sorry.”
**
‘Where did it all go wrong?’
Jade wondered while watching the scene before him.
Not stopping Rena when she challenged Doran yesterday?
Or not leaving the academy as Doran demanded?
Though he belatedly agonized over the cause, nothing changed.
Time passed after Rena challenged Doran, reaching duel day. Immediately after classes, Jade rushed to the training hall with Annie.
When Rena and Doran signed the mana contract and began fighting, Jade felt his anxiety gradually fade.
Rena’s sword and body moved like artistic masterpieces, evading and deflecting all Doran’s magic.
Even the instructor marveled at her performance along with the students.
The arrogant Doran seemed helpless against her unexpected skill.
Jade blankly watched Rena’s beautiful display in the arena.
When Doran suddenly revealed his hidden trump card-
-Hummm.
“Is that Aura?”
Amazingly, Rena manifested unstable Aura and perfectly countered Doran’s magic.
She even rushed forward and shattered Doran’s staff.
‘Rena’s skills really are incredible…’
Jade’s earlier worries about Rena now seemed foolish given this overwhelming result.
Rena approached the fallen Doran and pressed her blade to his neck.
Seeing this, Jade exhaled a sigh of relief.
“Haa…”
“It’s over! Rena’s victory! See, I told you, Jade!”
Annie hugged Jade and began jumping excitedly.
“Eek, wait Annie!”
As they celebrated Rena’s victory-
“KYAAAAAAH?!”
Rena’s scream suddenly echoed.
Startled, Jade looked back at the arena.
Somehow Rena was now collapsed, while Doran held an electric sphere in his hand.
‘Wait-how without his staff-‘
His thoughts froze at the unbelievable sight.
Doran’s arrogant confidence when accepting the challenge flashed through his mind, followed by the terrifying suspicion he’d briefly entertained.
Could it be… Doran’s confidence came from hiding his true strength?
Jade’s shocking suspicion became reality before his eyes.
Doran was actually a 5-Star Mage, contrary to what was known.
He ambushed Rena while she was off-guard after breaking his staff. His unexpected attack hit her before she could react.
Then the situation completely reversed.
Where Rena had attacked and Doran fled earlier, now Rena fled while Doran cornered her.
Rena’s movements were noticeably sluggish, likely from the earlier ambush’s aftereffects.
‘Please, please win!’
Jade clasped his hands, praying to the goddess for a miraculous victory.
But the goddess didn’t answer his prayers.
Finally, an unavoidable spell struck Rena.
“KYAAAAAH!!”
She dropped her sword and collapsed.
Still, Rena seemed unwilling to give up, crawling toward her sword again.
But Doran appeared stimulated rather than deterred by her persistence.
Then hellish scenes unfolded before their eyes.
Doran grabbed Rena’s hair, lifting her up, and began torturing her with electric magic for refusing to surrender.
“KYAAAAAH…! KGUAAAAH!!”
“Haha! Want another?”
Only Rena’s screams and Doran’s laughter echoed through the training hall.
“Heuk… Rena, wh-what do we do…”
Beside him, Annie covered her mouth with her hands, crying as she watched Rena scream in agony.
Jade felt like his heart was being torn apart watching Rena.
He wanted to rush onto the arena immediately but suppressed the urge.
‘…Must endure.’
Intervening would only complicate things. Even if he went up, he couldn’t possibly defeat Doran.
In that moment, unnoticed by Jade-
-Thump
Something small in his chest began squirming, as if responding to his anger and will.
As he helplessly watched Rena’s torment during this hellish time-
Perhaps the continuous torture became too painful?
Yellow liquid began dripping from beneath Rena.
“Damn it…”
Jade closed his eyes upon seeing her lose control.
“Kghk, heeeh… I-I think I’m dying…”
Rena’s seemingly unbreakable will finally shattered before the pain as she began begging Doran to stop.
Finally, Rena declared surrender to end the hellish torture.
“*Sob*… I-I surrender. Please stop now…”
But Doran seemed intent on further humiliation.
“But is that how you surrender?”
He demanded proper surrender terms.
Rena looked at him with tearful disbelief.
But under Doran’s threats, she clasped her hands and slowly bowed until fully prostrated.
Jade screamed involuntarily seeing Rena about to make this humiliating surrender.
“No! If you surrender like this, you, you’ll…”
Rena turned her head toward his cry. Slowly, her lips moved.
‘I’m. Sorry.’
“Ah…”
Recognizing her lip movements, Jade blankly stared at her.
Prostrated before Doran in a degrading position, Rena declared surrender.
“I-I surrender…”
“Tch… Annoying. That’s not surrender. Show more sincerity.”
-Thud!
Doran began stomping on Rena’s head.
“Heuk, khup. What more do you…”
“You should apologize for a commoner forgetting her place and challenging me.”
Doran lifted his foot from her head and waited.
After a moment, the prostrate Rena slowly began speaking.
“I-I surrender. *Sob*… As a lowly commoner wench… *hic*… I deeply apologize for insolently opposing Doran-nim…”
