    93 – Epilogue

The Divine Sword pierced Gaia’s abdomen.

A heavy sensation, it was a success.

My will intertwined with hers, severing her Source.

I felt the impact on her soul as the connection to the Source, which had been so tightly bound, was severed.

    “Kuaaaaack!!”

Seeing Gaia scream in agony, I became even more certain.

The connection to the Source was severed.

Gaia was no longer a Godhood.

    However.

    ‘What is this?’

It didn’t feel like it was over yet.

Gaia’s fighting spirit didn’t disappear. Rather… it felt like it was growing stronger.

At the same time, I felt a murderous intent.

A murderous intent that pierced me like thousands of needles.

I couldn’t open my mouth at the hatred that filled it.

As I felt that, Gaia began to speak.

“It’s only been 20 years! A variable has appeared!”

Gaia screamed that while her abdomen was pierced.

Her eyes were bloodshot as she shouted, making her look like a murderer.

No, she probably is a murderer.

How many lives has she taken in this countless amount of time?

    No, could anyone even count?

Gaia has existed since the beginning.

“In a stable time, you, a variable, appeared!”

She glared at me and asked.

Her voice echoed as if the world was enraged.

“What did I ever do to you! You don’t even exist in my memories!”

“That may be so, but my Source holds a great grudge against you.”

    Eleina.

The Source of my soul. The one who lost everything because of the being in front of me.

A woman who lost her family, lost her lover, and fell into depravity to become a Demon King.

Her end was futile, but she eventually regained her freedom.

That was my Source, so I couldn’t forget her.

The hatred had faded, but the mission towards her had not been forgotten.

    Even for Hairel’s sake.

    I couldn’t forget.

    ‘And Earth too.’

Gaia had lost the status of Godhood and the reason that filled it, but the constantly rising hatred made her existence toxic.

Her very existence could kill life and pollute dimensions.

If I had left her alone, her grudge would have reached my dimension.

When that time came, there would be no way to stop it.

That’s why I couldn’t just leave her alone.

    That’s when it happened.

“I can’t… end it like this.”

I heard a voice that suddenly sank.

    Controlled emotions.

A murderous intent and fighting spirit that surged in an instant.

I immediately backed away from the chilling sensation, and at the same time, an enormous wave of energy erupted.

If I had been a little late, it would have been a fatal wound.

I would have had to give up one of my limbs.

    “You especially!”

An alien power filled the surroundings.

I could feel an energy that seemed to want to destroy everything.

I could feel the will to bet everything on ‘hatred’ and ‘destruction’ so clearly.

    It wasn’t Divine Power.

    It wasn’t mana either.

It was another kind of power.

Probably the power Gaia had when she was a ‘Constellation’.

The power of that earth alone pressed down on my body with tremendous pressure.

    ‘It’s her last struggle.’

As expected, she was no longer a Godhood.

But even so, as the highest Constellation, close to the Primordial God, her power overwhelmed even a Godhood.

    Besides.

I only had about a quarter of my Divine Power left from the attack just now.

The power coming from the Source was also significantly slower than before.

I had used too much power in an instant, and this alien power must have taken over this space.

    I have to endure.

Until that vast power runs out.

‘She’s not thinking about the aftermath.’

She wasn’t thinking about the aftermath anymore.

All that was left for her was the will to kill me.

    Probably her last struggle.

If she could draw out the power of this moment, Gaia’s divinity would be shattered beyond repair.

So if I endured, it would be my victory. It was over.

    That’s when it happened.

Two rocks with overwhelming density and size flew towards me from the surroundings.

An overwhelming speed that belied their mass.

I began to defend myself, drawing out Divine Power as efficiently as possible.

I moved my sword without rest.

Focusing only on defense, without the will to attack.

An overwhelming power flew towards me.

In some ways, it was fiercer than the attack when she was a Godhood.

An attack that didn’t look back, an attack that contained all her will in ‘murderous intent’.

    The power was beyond words.

Her gestures could destroy not only me but even the planet.

    ‘Don’t think.’

I began to parry the countless attacks that poured in.

I allow shallow attacks to use power as efficiently as possible.

    I don’t think.

Thinking is a luxury, and to survive in this relentless attack speed, only a state of selflessness was the answer.

    How long had it been?

Fortunately, Gaia’s last struggle didn’t last long.

    “You… especially…”

Gaia’s body, whose divinity had flowed out and began to collapse.

Her body and soul had been damaged, so it was safe to say that there was no chance of her being resurrected.

She would probably collapse as she was, and even her soul would disappear.

She would not be able to go anywhere.

    That would be the end.

The existence of ‘Gaia’ would no longer remain in this world.

Those eyes, filled with the determination to kill me until the very end.

Just looking at them gave me goosebumps, and it was the first time I had seen eyes with such a strong murderous intent.

I frowned at her and said.

    “Just get lost already.”

    And with those words.

    Gaia’s body and soul vanished.

The Godhood collapsed, and a new seat rose in the sky.

An alien space with unharmed stars.

And countless corpses that filled the space as much as the stars.

Monsters, Demonic Beasts, something from mythology, and even Constellations could be seen.

The one who had accomplished all of this.

A swordsman and Transcendent, a Constellation, a man called the Sword that Cut the Moon.

But he was just a man who thought of himself as a lover of a woman.

    “Is it over…”

The man who floated in that space muttered.

He had no strength in his body.

It was probably a miracle that he had moved this far.

His left arm was cut off and his right eye was crushed.

Permanent damage, there were almost no items that could heal this level of damage.

    Could he survive?

No, now that Ha-yeon had killed Gaia, it didn’t matter if he died.

He had no more regrets in life.

Hairel closed his last remaining eye and exhaled.

How long of a journey had it been?

From the happy, happy, fantasy-like moment when he was with her, giving everything, and giving each other their hearts.

    Losing everything and gaining strength.

The time he spent with the reincarnation of the woman he still loved.

A time that was short if it was short, and long if it was long, had come to an end.

The happy moments were as long as countless eons.

    The hateful moments were fleeting.

    He realized that now.

    He was happy.

‘I’m going to see you now…’

    He was at peace.

From the closed eyes, a ray of light descended from the black world.

    A soft moonlight.

A soft moonlight that made people feel cozy descended as if embracing him.

    “Ah…”

    She’s here.

    Feeling that sensation.

He left behind a satisfied smile for the last time.

    Like that.

The star that shone most brilliantly in this world, descended.

    “Is he… not coming back?”

The cracks that seemed to pour out endlessly had closed.

The corpses of Demonic Beasts that filled the surroundings.

Among them, a blue-haired mage covered in blood.

    Ellen muttered like that.

“You know that’s a flag, right?”

Jin Na-yeon said that to her playfully.

She was also tired, and her gait was not the same as usual.

Behind them was Veronica, who had gathered all her mana in a moment of crisis, cleaned up once, and collapsed.

    She wasn’t dead.

    “It’s over…”

    “I guess so.”

And in that corner, a black-haired woman sitting on the floor with a broken blade next to her.

Kaede and Lee Seol-ah, who was next to her, also felt that this battle was over.

    Ha-yeon did it.

Kaede couldn’t help but smile at that fact.

No matter how hard it is, if there is even one happy fact, you can’t help but smile.

And the person who had the most share of those corpses.

Raven stared blankly at the sword with the dulled blade.

‘I have repaid both the debt and the grudge.’

    The grudge against his son.

    The debt for saving him.

He had repaid both of them.

    He asked his son that.

    No answer came back.

    But even so, he smiled.

When was the last time such a refreshing moment came at the end?

    He thought like that.

    And finally.

A man waiting for a woman who had not yet returned led his tired body and looked up at the sky.

A clear blue sky without a single cloud.

    It was a clear sky.

    “Nice…”

The day he first met her was also a clear sky.

He couldn’t help but smile at that fact.

Now all he had to do was wait for her to return.

And until then, all he had to do was clean up this situation.

He gave a self-deprecating smile at the work that seemed to increase on its own.

But still, there was no day as happy as this.

    At that time, Ha-yeon.

“Ah… I have to go back.”

    She had no strength.

She had no strength left in her body.

    ‘I have to go back…’

    I have to go back.

But it was not enough to lift this body with will alone.

    So she closed her eyes.

And began to take a long nap.

    Like that, a week passed.
