65. School Violence?

    65. School Violence?

That night, Freya was trapped in Ella’s embrace. It was the same as the day before, and the day before that. Without her staff, Freya, a mage, was utterly powerless.

    ‘This crazy blue-haired bitch…!’

Even though her staff was leaning against the wall right there, Freya could only lick her lips.

The opponent wasn’t specifically guarding her staff, but Ella held onto her tightly whether she was going to class, showering, or even going to the bathroom, leaving Freya no time to retrieve her staff.

‘Why do I have to watch someone else shower, and not even my sister…!’

In that short time, Freya had gone through so much that she now had a seizure at the mere sight of blue hair.

And since the blue hair never left her sight, she was having seizures all day long.

    “Uhehehe….”

    “Ugh….”

Ella, with her mouth open in her sleep, began to nibble on Freya’s ear. Freya’s whole body trembled at the ticklish sensation in her ear.

    And then-

    “Why are you… tense….”

    “Huh?”

    “You don’t need to be… tense….”

    “Sister?!”

From somewhere, Skadi’s voice could be heard. It was so faint and quiet, having traveled through several dormitory walls, but Freya’s beastman ears couldn’t miss it.

    “Sister!!! Sister!!!! I’m here!!!!”

Freya shouted desperately. Since Ella, who was holding her, would never wake up once asleep, there was no problem with shouting like this.

    “Sister!!! I’m here….”

    “Hieet!”

However, the subsequent moan made Freya stop in her tracks.

Freya froze, her mind racing with countless thoughts. Had she misheard, or was the sound coming from another room?

But the next sound made Freya freeze again.

    “Heek… Heek….”

    “Then I’ll begin.”

    “Sister?!!!”

What was she going to begin? Why was the other person making that sound? ‘It’s not that kind of thing, right?’ Freya tried to hold onto even the slimmest thread of hope, but….

“Ugh, ugh…. Young Lady. This feels strange….”

“Aaaah!!! Sister!!!! What are you doing!!!”

Freya screamed at the top of her lungs to stop her sister, but the soundproofing was so good that Skadi couldn’t hear her.

    “Young Lady… stop teasing me so… ♡”

“Who are you!!! Stop it right now!! Hey!!!! Get off my sister!!!”

In the end, Freya had to spend the rest of the night venting her frustration, listening to the moans echoing from her sister’s room until the next morning.

Ella, with hollow eyes, tilted her head at Freya, whose legs were strangely damp, but then dismissed her doubts and dragged Freya to the shower.

    ——

The next morning, I woke up earlier than planned due to an unpleasant sensation.

My body felt sticky, muggy, and suffocating….

    “… What the.”

I had fallen asleep comfortably yesterday, so why was this happening? I got out of bed, exhaling breath filled with heat.

    “… It’s hot.”

I grabbed the collar of my school uniform and flapped it, trying to cool down the heat. But they say movement only makes you hotter, and I gasped for breath in the intensified temperature.

    “Ugh… Skadi?”

“Ah, Claire. Sorry for waking you.”

My movement must have woken Claire, as she rubbed her eyes and sat up. Her messy golden hair was noticeable.

“Claire. Doesn’t the room feel a bit hot?”

    “The room? Uh… a little?”

Based on my past experiences, the Academy was usually quite chilly. Was it possible for the temperature to change so drastically overnight?

I muttered, wiping away the sweat streaming down my face like a waterfall.

“Why is it so hot? It was actually cold before.”

    “It was cold? Wait….”

Claire looked at my waist. I followed Claire’s gaze and looked down, but there was nothing at my waist except my belt.

“… Skadi, where is your sword….”

    “It’s too… hot.”

I exhaled breath filled with heat and took off my clothes. After removing my scarf, jacket, and a few buttons of my shirt, I could finally breathe a little.

I wiped my sweat with my sleeve and asked Claire.

    “Sorry, what did you say?”

    “…… No, uh, nothing.”

    Claire replied, her face blushing.

Claire avoided my gaze, but kept glancing at me. I spent a terrible time fanning myself vigorously to deal with this unbearable heat.

Priscilla woke up a moment later.

“Ugh… why are my pants so wet… Huh, this is….”

Priscilla lifted her skirt and then gasped, her mouth wide open. Smelling the faint scent, it seemed she had soiled herself during the night.

Thinking back to the anesthetic poison Henir had hit Priscilla with yesterday, I recalled that the poison caused all the body’s muscles to relax, including the bladder. That must be the reason.

Priscilla ran to the bathroom, babbling “Awaawa.” A few minutes later, after changing her clothes, Priscilla looked at me and said.

“Phew… Huh? Skadi? Why are you all undressed?”

“The room is too hot… Priscilla, do you know why it’s like this?”

“Oh… it has gotten warmer, hasn’t it? It was incredibly cold before. But is it that hot? It has certainly warmed up, but not to the point of taking off all your clothes….”

Priscilla asked, looking at me, who was naked except for my shirt and skirt. I continued fanning myself and replied.

“I guess I’ve gotten used to the cold from living in the North. Phew… it’s so hot, Priscilla, can you use ice magic or something?”

Priscilla was a mage, and mages could do more things than swordsmen. I looked up at Priscilla with hopeful eyes, wondering if she had a way to cool down this heat.

“Uh… I can only use fire magic. Shall I give you some of this?”

    Fwoosh!

Priscilla conjured a blazing fire from the tip of her staff. Intense heat radiated from the red glowing source, and I collapsed onto the floor, groaning like a glacier melting in global warming.

    “Pri… cilla… stop….”

    “Ah, yes.”

When Priscilla retracted the fire, I felt a little better, but the room, already heated, showed no signs of cooling down. I gasped for breath, stuck to the floor.

After a while, Claire approached me and asked.

    “S-Skadi. Are you okay?”

    “No.”

I didn’t have the luxury to give a long answer. I was melting like white snow fallen on the sun, facing death.

It was different from when I trained with my father. I could endure a sword blow, but my mind wasn’t so resilient.

“Does this feel a little better?”

Claire put her hand on my shoulder, her fingertips glowing with golden aura. Then-

    “… It’s cool.”

An indescribable coolness emanated from the aura. It felt like finding a cool oasis in a dry, hot desert. It felt like someone had sprayed water with a fire hose onto parched, cracked fields.

    “Ugh?!”

“I’ll hold you for a bit.”

I immediately picked up Claire and hugged her. Claire seemed a bit flustered and stammered, but it wouldn’t be a big problem since girls often did this anyway.

    “I feel like I’m going to live….”

A blissful feeling enveloped me, like having the air conditioner set to 18 degrees on a hot summer day. I genuinely smiled and nuzzled my cheek against Claire’s face. It felt like hugging a small, cute animal. A pleasant softness.

Claire soon got used to it and leaned into my embrace, even rubbing against me slightly.

A moment later, Claire looked up at me with a slightly flushed face. Her golden eyes seemed to hold a hint of sensuality.

    “Um, Skadi.”

    “Yes?”

    “Ah, no. It’s nothing.”

Claire shook her head and buried her face in my chest again. I shrugged and then thoroughly enjoyed the refreshing Claire.

Then, a sudden thought struck me, and I lifted my head. I looked at Henir, still lying on Priscilla’s bed.

    “Is Henir… still sleeping?”

“It seems so. Did she perhaps sleep late last night?”

As Priscilla asked me back, Claire hiccuped for some reason. I tilted my head, not understanding why.

“… Let’s go out soon. We need to pick up Iris first. As for Henir… leaving a note should prevent her from being too surprised.”

Golden Sun must have taken Iris’s father early this morning. Iris would be alone by now, so I should go pick her up quickly.

I left a note for Henir and headed out with Claire and Priscilla.

A moment later, when we arrived at where Iris would be-

    “Waaah!!!”

    “Iris?!”

Iris was sitting on the ground in torn and dirty clothes, and next to her, Ella was unconscious with a lump on her head.
