    6 – Association

    “Just one day?”

As she entered the association president’s office, the door closed, and the guy, having seen it somewhere, swiveled his chair to meet Ha-yeon’s eyes.

“Are you having a case of middle school syndrome?”

“What about it? In comics, important people always do this.”

    “That’s because it’s a comic.”

Saying that, she sat on the luxurious chair that had been prepared, she didn’t know when.

    ‘It’s so comfortable.’

It was dozens of times better than the cheap chair in her house.

It really felt like floating on a cloud.

    “Anyway, the contract?”

    “Here.”

As he flicked his fingers, a piece of paper next to him floated in the wind and flew towards her.

    ‘Impressive control.’

As he was called Jeok-pung, he had excellent wind manipulation skills.

Just now, he brought only the contract from the top of a pile of papers, and the rest of the papers didn’t even budge.

Ha-yeon, smiling slightly at his amazing skill, turned her head towards the contract and couldn’t help but be shocked.

    ‘It’s incredibly advantageous to me.’

The contents of the contract were roughly similar to other contracts, but it gave me a lot more.

In the name of the association, I only need to clear B-grade or higher gates twice a month, and they would give me B-grade magic stones and a large amount of money.

For reference, magic stones are minerals that come from gates, and magic stones of the grade appropriate to that gate come out.

Therefore, magic stone mining machines are installed in permanent gates, but B-grade magic stones are difficult to obtain because the threat is so great.

If there was an S-class hunter, it would be easy, but it’s too much of a waste of power to use an S-class to protect a mining machine.

Anyway, apart from that, they would give me a 70% discount on the usage fee of the facilities operated by the association.

Well, it wasn’t just things that were advantageous to me.

Participating in a broadcast program once every two months.

They gave me a lot of money, so I would do it, but it wasn’t my taste.

And, for official events, I had to wear a suit provided by the association, except when fighting.

It might be a bit uncomfortable.

‘But this isn’t much of a problem.’

Even when I was a D-class hunter, I wore a suit until I went to the gate.

Since I’m an S-class, I’ll probably wear a suit more often because there are more official events than when I was a D-class, but it wasn’t much of a problem.

Besides, the suits provided by the association are quite comfortable.

    “Can I have a pen?”

At those words, he flicked his fingers again, and a luxurious-looking pen flew towards her.

Ha-yeon, holding the pen in her right hand, quickly wrote the contract and handed the completed contract to him.

    “Here.”

“That was fast. It takes other S-classes quite a while.”

“To be honest, I wasn’t planning on joining another guild, so if I were to join one, I was thinking of joining the association.”

Sitting back in the plush chair, she nonchalantly said that.

Jin Ha-jeong’s words are understandable, of course.

If you’re an S-class, you can honestly do anything.

Become an executive of a famous guild, or even start your own guild.

You can even become a government-certified hunter and enjoy immense wealth.

But for her, it was tiring and annoying.

For an S-class hunter, the association, which consistently pays money and doesn’t require much work, was much better.

That’s why she came to the association without hesitation.

Hearing her words, Jin Ha-jeong smiled slightly, then put the contract on his desk, got up from his chair, and said.

“Since you’re here, do you want to take a look around the association? I’m almost done with work, so I have plenty of time.”

    “Hmm… Well, that sounds good.”

Ha-yeon, who also got up following him.

He left the association president’s office at a moderate pace, and she began to follow him.

“It’s big, isn’t it? Because it’s an executive office.”

    “It is really big…”

“Since we spend most of our sleep here, I can honestly guarantee that this is the best resting space.”

    Executive office.

That’s what the rooms in the corridors I saw earlier are called.

Executives are the top key forces and key figures in the association.

So, they probably provide these conveniences.

    Because this is their home.

‘Well, the really rich people live in other places, not here.’

So, the ratio of executives who are here and those who aren’t is exactly half.

This is all information I heard from Jin Ha-jeong, and it was 100% factual.

“But you’re 24 years old. Did you contract with a good Constellation?”

“Huh? Ah, well, something like that.”

Passing through the corridor, past the counter, and taking the elevator I saw earlier again, Jin Ha-jeong spoke to her.

    She answered him curtly.

“I’ve been awakened and working since I was 19.”

She must have worked really hard.

Becoming an S-class was very easy, but her past before that was incredibly tough.

She awakened at 19 and couldn’t study properly because she was receiving education about hunters, and she couldn’t go to university properly.

So, she just went straight to the association and worked, but she was still a D-class.

She had a lot of injuries in dungeons, and she felt the danger of survival a lot.

“But, you’re also an S-class at the age of 26, aren’t you?”

    “I guess so.”

He, who is only about 2 years older than Ha-yeon, is now 26 years old, and it is officially known that he awakened at the age of 20 and rose to S-class after 6 years.

    His Constellation is…

‘Wandering Wind that Cuts Through the Sky, wasn’t it?’

The name is so damn long.

My Constellation, ‘Moon-Cleaving Flash’, is just concise, strong, and cool, isn’t it?

[The Constellation, ‘Moon-Cleaving Flash’, is elated and urges you to praise it more.]

    ‘Uh… um…’

She had already used up all the things she could praise it for, so she scratched her cheek and could see Jin Ha-jeong smiling slightly.

    “Why… what.”

“No, it’s just funny that you only use informal speech to me, even though I’m still older than you.”

    “Age doesn’t matters between S-class”

Ha-yeon immediately retorted to his words and then stopped, getting off the elevator with the door open.

Jin Ha-jeong, who got off following her, said to her.

“So, are we going to a nearby restaurant, or a park, or… a shopping district?”

    Restaurant?

At this time? Thinking that, she looked at the nearby clock and couldn’t help but freeze.

    It’s 3 o’clock…?

Because she hadn’t eaten since lunch, she was still hungry so, she immediately chose the restaurant.

    “Restaurant.”

“Great, we should go to the shopping district and then go to the restaurant.”

    Then why did you ask?

She was dumbfounded by the pre-determined answer, but to be honest, she didn’t care where she went.

    Except for the park.

“Let’s go to the shopping district and then go to the restaurant at 6 o’clock.”

“Ha… A sudden dinner with the boss.”

“Boss… Do you really think of me that way?”

Jin Ha-jeong, jokingly said and walked ahead.

Ha-yeon, who quickly stuck next to him, asked him with a sudden curiosity.

“But which shopping district are we going to?”

There are quite a few, no, a lot of shopping districts around here.

Is it because it’s the center of the city?

As expected of a hunter society, the city with the most commercial development, along with the powerful Thunderclap Palace and Elysia Academy, and Atlas, is the association.

That’s why there are so many shopping districts around, but where are we going?

“Huh? Isn’t it obvious? We have to go to Area A.”

    “Area A?”

The shopping districts are from L to A, with L being the cheapest area, and the price increases as the alphabet gets closer to A.

And A-grade is the highest-grade shopping district and the most expensive area.

    “I haven’t gotten paid yet…”

She suddenly regretted not selling the corpse of Underground Durin.

“Don’t worry, I’ll buy it for you. Um… A gift from the boss to the new employee.”

The guy waving his black card and walking forward.

Suddenly, that guy looked like an angel.

“I can buy you at least one expensive item.”

    “Even the Ancient Dragon’s Gem?”

    “Are you crazy?”

Is there a line to be drawn?

The Ancient Dragon’s Gem is the highest-grade jewel in the world, with only two in existence, and its magical value is, of course, incredibly hard, and its magical conductivity is, above all, beautiful, so its value is incredibly high.

I asked once because the most expensive item in the A market is the Ancient Dragon’s Gem, but I guess it’s not possible.

    ‘I was too shameless.’

Even I thought it was shameless to ask for something that had enough value to start a huge guild, even if it was just a fingernail’s worth.

“Um… But where are the other S-classes in the association?”

    Pure curiosity.

I came to the association and even went to the association president’s office, so I thought I would see at least one person, but I didn’t meet anyone, so I asked him because I was a little disappointed.

“Ara left because of a mission, as you know, and Jin-woo is on vacation for a while. Noona suddenly left because she had to investigate something. I almost killed her at that time.”

Shin Ara is away to solve the super-large gate that appeared in the clock tower in London, the capital of England, as in the article that came out a few months ago.

Kim Jin-woo, the Fighting King, was on vacation for some reason, and his sister, Jin Na-yeon, seems to have run away to investigate something as she is an all-rounder who is both a magic swordsman and a spiritist.

So, Jin Ha-jeong doesn’t know how many nights he spent up all night because of the sudden cancellation.

‘I would have killed her too.’

It seemed like it was a regret that he couldn’t kill her because she was an S-class, a key force of the association.

While we were having such trivial small talk, a classic door came into view.

    “We’ve finally arrived.”

We finally arrived at the A shopping district.
