Chapter Index

    43. Leah

Aila chuckled, having defined so clearly what kind of person he was.

From her perspective, Aran was already a hopelessly addicted patient, and it was nearly impossible for him to control himself.

Of course, that applied to her as well.

She was probably even worse than Aran, if anything.

    ,”A pervert recognizes another pervert.”

“That’s quite a talent you have.”

    “Hehe.”

Aila giggled and clung to him.

Despite the cold wind that brushed against her body, she exuded a thick sensuality, caressing his body in a seductive manner.

“Finally, our Leah is developing other hobbies.”

“…Aren’t you being a bit too sure?”

    “It’s a certainty. Hehe.”

Before he knew it, she slipped her hand inside his clothes and brought her lips to his neck.

    +++

    Several days in the sky.

Traveling even faster than when they came, Aran and his group arrived at Kora, the capital of the Great Kingdom, and instead of entering immediately, they remained in the sky to admire the scenery.

The magnificent palace and royal capital, built thanks to Aran’s power.

The massive buildings and dense urban center, surrounded by walls, symbolized the Great Kingdom’s development, which was quite unlike that of a vassal state.

Except for the very beginning, the king had done nothing but have sex all the time, yet the country had developed so much.

The women couldn’t help but think that this was some kind of miracle.

If it weren’t for Muning, whom he met by chance and brought along, or the wives he had somehow acquired, it would have been impossible for a country buried in the ruins of war to prosper like this in just a few years. And if Aran’s ridiculous magical abilities hadn’t been added to that, it might have remained just another vassal state, or perhaps even worse than a duchy, let alone develop.

However, Aran had outstanding wives and abilities unprecedented in human history, and he had achieved a miracle.

“But what will we become if you step down from being king?”

    Moa asked abruptly.

    “What do you mean?”

“I mean our titles. You call yourself a god, so I was wondering if you had any special titles in mind for us.”

    “Hmm.”

“That’s true. If our darling becomes a god, we should be called something different too.”

“Hehe. What else could we be? We’ll all become goddesses, of course. Ohoho.”

Hancock jumped around in the air, saying.

“Since His Highness says he’s a god and it’s also in the doctrine, of course we’ll be goddesses, right?”

    “Well… I don’t know, wouldn’t it be a little different?”

Aran himself tilted his head, but she had already set her own standards and was starting to have all sorts of fantasies.

“Hmm~ If I become a goddess, will the Hancock Church be created? Then I’ll bestow the power of huge breasts. All the believers who believe in me will become just like me, with huge, bountiful breasts.”

“You shouldn’t distort the truth. Such a sad cult with no breasts, so no milk… Wouldn’t they be the most pitiful believers in the world?”

    “Shut up.”

Hancock growled as if she were about to hit Lamias any second.

Just as she was about to retaliate, Aran and some of the women sensed a strange movement of energy.

    “?”

It was as if something huge was moving and causing considerable ripples, but it was naturally invisible to the eye, and only a faint trace remained, making one doubt whether such a thing had even happened.

    “…Did you feel it, perhaps?”

When Aran asked, several women, Iana, Yuri Yuri, Terin, and Cornelia, nodded.

The rest of the women looked puzzled. Even Mula, the dragon, looked as if she was wondering what they were talking about.

“From what I feel… something has entered the palace….”

    “This is….”

    “So, you felt it too?”

Aran, Cornelia, and Terin had only felt it, but they had no idea what it was, but Iana and Yuri seemed to know something.

“Do you perhaps know what it is?”

    “Hmm….”

Iana frowned as if she was troubled.

As a Dragon Lord and a demigod, what she had just felt was familiar yet unfamiliar.

All the women’s eyes turned to Iana.

“It’s similar to the movement of a soul.”

“A soul? Then you mean a soul has moved?”

“I don’t know yet. Just similar? Plus, there’s a strange energy mixed in. I’m not sure what it is.”

“Wouldn’t it be safe to say it’s something related to the soul?”

    Yuri shrugged.

Her gaze rested on the vast palace.

“This kind of thing doesn’t usually happen… It’s probably a first for humanity.”

“It’s not just that it doesn’t usually happen. There’s no reason to manipulate souls in this way.”

“…I don’t quite understand what you two are talking about.”

Iana paused to gather her thoughts.

She wasn’t entirely sure, but there was still a lot to explain.

“First of all, what we just felt is very similar to the wave felt when a soul moves. The energy is also similar. The problem is that no one manipulates souls in this way.”

“Besides, the intensity is too strong to be a natural phenomenon. She’s a Dragon Lord and I’m a Vampire Lord, so we can easily feel it, but for you and ordinary humans… no, Huma-dragons. Anyway, for humans to feel it, at least hundreds of souls would have to move simultaneously in the same direction along the same path. That’s obviously… not natural.”

Aran turned his gaze towards the palace.

“So, there might be some unknown danger. One that even I can’t properly detect.”

“I don’t know. I don’t know if it’s a danger or not. Aren’t all the important people here anyway?”

“Are you stupid? How much of a pervert is this guy? Even if one or two decent sex toy women die, he’ll be angry enough to destroy civilization.”

    “…It’s not that bad.”

Aran replied, looking troubled, but all the women except him were already unconsciously nodding.

“…Anyway, let’s go inside for now. Just in case, let’s just go with the four of us.”

    “Five, you stupid human.”

    “…Okay. Five people.”

    +++

One hour before Aran and the others arrived.

    Leah was still sculpting.

On the surface, it looked no different from a typical stone statue carving, but upon closer inspection, there was a crucial difference.

Instead of carving a statue out of a large stone, she was attaching a thin stone surface to something inside.

“I need to make sure I do this properly. It would be a disaster if I got caught halfway through.”

In other words, it was ‘creation’ rather than ‘sculpting’.

The locals had no way of knowing what she was creating, but it was certainly a very important and mysterious object.

    -Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

After a few more minutes of refining, the sound she had been so eagerly awaiting began to come from inside the drawer.

    “…Finally!”

She stopped what she was doing and rushed to the drawer like a flash of lightning.

Then she took out the viewer-shaped screen from before.

It was revealing something distinctly different from what it had shown for the past 10 years.

“They’re here… arrived… well, not arrived, but they’re here anyway.”

It was truly a moment of destiny.

The gamble that risked the fate of civilization had overcome miracle after miracle and finally reached the threshold of success.

She didn’t know what to do and was flustered, but she soon came to her senses.

Even as she was doing this, danger might be approaching in real time.

And the ark might be devoured by that danger.

    So, act quickly.

Fortunately, the bodies to download them into had been created over the past 10 years.

“I have to do it now, right?”

Leah twirled in place, humming a tune that came out on its own.

She wanted to dance, but she didn’t have time, so she settled for that.

    “Activate.”

The entire room reacted to her short words.

Or, to be precise, it felt that way.

    Jiiing – !

Approximately 800 sculptures reacted, emitting a blue light.

It was a deeply mysterious sight, with light coming from their eyes like those of demons or angels.

    [Starting machine activation.]

    Crack. Crrrack.

The carefully crafted sculptures all cracked at once.

The thinly attached stone fragments broke and fell off, revealing something inside that resembled a human skeleton made of various metals.

    Like the undead from legends.

Only bones, a dead being without flesh, yet alive.

But it was definitely different from that.

Not only bones, but something else was clearly attached.

The problem was that she had no idea what it was.

[Attempting to connect to the ark. – Beep. Beep. Beep. – Connected. The ark is currently orbiting this planet, and mind download is available. Would you like to start the download?]

    “Of course.”

[Starting download. There are a total of 769 entities, and it will take approximately 40 minutes to complete. For safety, all manipulation of the target entities is impossible during mind download.]

    Leah clenched her fist.

Once she got this far, 95% of the plan would be successful.

“Hehe. What a long time it has been… Ah… my 20 years, now you bear fruit along with my mission!”
