    29 – Divine Beast

The eighth enemy died, and the one that emerged next was a proper warrior, unlike the assassin shrouded in darkness from before.

More robust muscles and a sharper sword than any enemy so far.

    And even a piercing gaze.

It was a spine-chilling foe, but she steeled her mind and killed him.

Still, she took him down faster than the Dust from before, because he was only strong and quite slow.

If he had been balanced like the previous one, it would have been a much more difficult level, but because he was specialized in strength, she was able to defeat him easily.

Moreover, he wasn’t evil, chaotic, or undead, so no Stack accumulated.

And then the next enemy appeared.

[You have encountered the S+ class humanoid monster, ‘Gladiator King Berelle’.]

    ‘Gladiator King?’

There’s still one more left, isn’t there?

Why is the title Gladiator King coming out already?

She was puzzled, but she didn’t think this was the time to think about it, and she watched the figure walking out from where the iron bars had been.

The body of an ordinary woman.

She had more muscles than the average person, but it wasn’t much compared to the enemies she had fought so far.

Should she call her a red-haired beauty? However, her eyes were more vicious than anyone else’s, but a beauty was a beauty.

“It’s been a while since I’ve been out. It’s been boring lately because there’s no one awakening the Divine Beast.”

She stretched her shoulders and muttered to herself.

At that sight, Ha-yeon brought the Immortal Longsword forward and activated Sacred Haze and Sword Demon.

And Hver’s Evil Eye as well.

    “A weapon, huh… Well, that’s good too.”

Saying that, Berelle equipped steel gauntlets from an interdimensional space in the air.

    ‘Gauntlets?’

It was a weapon she had never seen before.

In the first place, would anyone use gauntlets as a weapon in this era?

There are obviously better blunt weapons than directly striking with fists, and there are more stable weapons like swords or spears that are even better.

“First time seeing gauntlets? Well, I guess that’s possible.”

    After saying that, the figure.

    “…..!!”

Vanished in an instant and appeared before her.

Movement barely traceable even with Hver’s Evil Eye.

Arriving in front of her, the figure swung a fist without hesitation.

    “……Cough!”

    The gauntlet struck her abdomen.

    It wasn’t just fast.

The fist was as strong as it was fast.

The fist that struck her abdomen sent her flying far away, and she spat out fluids from her mouth.

It felt like being hit by a car.

The pain was greater than that, never less.

    ‘Damn, that hurts like hell.’

    It hurt beyond imagination.

To take such an impact even with Derkael’s Immortality equipped.

[The Constellation, ‘Moon-Cleaving Flash’ says that is not an enemy to be taken lightly.]

    I know that.

Thinking so inwardly, she suppressed the pain and raised her sword.

And as soon as she saw her, Berelle rushed at her again.

    Still insanely fast.

    But still.

    ‘Right!’

She could see the path to some extent.

She roughly understood her attack pattern, even if it was just once.

You might ask, how? But how could she answer how?

    It was just a feeling.

She blocked the gauntlet striking from the right with the Immortal Longsword and rotated her body to the left, driving in a sword strike.

If it was just running, she would be slower than the figure, but she had the skill Sacred Haze, so her rotational force was overwhelming.

Using that rotational force as acceleration, she plunged her sword into the figure’s side.

“Where do you think you’re going!”

But the figure blocked the sword with the gauntlet in her right hand.

Clicking her tongue at the advantage of gauntlets, which allowed her to use both hands freely, she activated a skill.

[Skill, ‘Back Alley Flash(S-)’ is activated.]

The figure probably doesn’t know about this yet.

A technique that can only be used against opponents you fight for the first time.

Appearing from behind the pulverized black gauntlet, the sword was swung with a massive Flash.

    “Kugh!”

This time, a groan came from the figure’s side.

She had intended to kill her in one go, but the figure had no intention of simply dying, and leaped to the side at a speed even faster than before.

Still, because it was a sword swung at close range, a large gash remained on her side.

    Blood gushing from her side.

    “….?”

And the figure’s eyes turned red.

[The Constellation, ‘Moon-Cleaving Flash’ advises that the enemy has activated their title.]

    Ah….

She hadn’t even considered the thought of someone else using a title.

    To be precise, a monster.

But they were originally human but captured here, so it wouldn’t be strange to have a title.

    ‘This is driving me crazy.’

She was incredibly strong even without using a title, but if she used a title, could she even be faced?

‘The wound on her waist is deep, so there will be a difference in power, but.’

She had to be cautious now, not knowing the effects of the title.

Her title, ‘Sword Demon’, greatly increased physical abilities and made it impossible to control emotions.

The inability to control emotions was somewhat controlled thanks to Cold Blood, so it was just a matter of becoming a bit more emotional, but there could be other abilities besides enhancing physical abilities.

And that prediction was spot on.

Huge patterns were carved all over the outer walls of the arena they were in.

The image of a phoenix flying towards the sky.

A symbol of freedom and valor.

As soon as that pattern was carved, a System message appeared.

[You have entered the unique domain, ‘Gladiator Yearning for Freedom’.]

[You cannot leave this domain until you kill the one who cast the unique domain.]

    Ah, seriously……

    “A unique domain, huh…”

The one who cast this domain was probably Berelle.

If so, she had to kill her to get out of here and meet the last enemy.

“You seem to know, but this is my unique domain.”

The figure said, roughly stopping the bleeding from her side.

Then, she drew something on the gauntlet with the blood smeared on her hands.

What was drawn was a magic circle.

    And Berelle rushed in.

    “Explosion!”

With that shout, the magic circle shone, and an explosion was heard as it collided with the gauntlet.

    “…!!”

She quickly covered her face with her cloak, so there wasn’t much damage, but the explosion was an unexpected attack.

“My title is ‘Gladiator Yearning for Freedom’. I can use the abilities of those who have entered this arena and died or been captured.”

Saying that, she prepared to rush in again.

In the meantime, Ha-yeon quickly assessed the situation.

‘First, the method of use is a magic circle.’

The medium is a magic circle.

If she makes that magic circle with blood or anything else, she can use the ability.

And the ability she’s using now is explosion.

[The Constellation, ‘Moon-Cleaving Flash’ unlocks some of the functions of the item you possess.]

    ‘Constellation?’

With that message, Derkael’s Immortality changed slightly.

The long cloak was shortened to about elbow length, and the disappeared cloth became a mask covering Ha-yeon’s mouth.

    [Derkael’s Immortality – Mask]

The information appeared like that when she checked.

[The Constellation, ‘Moon-Cleaving Flash’ says it will protect your face from explosions.]

Derkael’s Immortality had this function too…

She was surprised by the new function for a moment.

“How dare you let your guard down in front of me?”

Berelle said with a slightly annoyed tone and rushed in again.

If it went to a prolonged battle, she might lose, but that probably wouldn’t happen.

Even if she stopped the bleeding, it was temporary, and there was a wound on her side that was bleeding again.

    So.

    ‘Just have to hold out!’

Thinking so, she thrust out the Immortal Longsword.

    The explosion erupted once again.

But this time, it only obscured her vision, and nothing else restricted her actions.

    “Below!”

An uppercut rising from below, where she felt a presence.

Dodging that attack to the side, she twisted her sword to slash at her neck.

    “Ha….”

[-You have killed an enemy of -Chaos- alignment.]

    [Stack increases.]

    [4/5]

Chaos? But she wasn’t a bad person.

Evil is obviously evil, and Chaos are those who are good in nature but act badly.

    Her actions weren’t bad, though.

“More importantly, is there one left?”

Ha-yeon, who gently stroked the still throbbing abdomen, glared at the last enemy that was just emerging.

“Ah… When will this mission end…”

While Ha-yeon was fighting in the trial ground.

A black-haired man muttered so in faraway Korea.

He was none other than Jin Ha-jeong, the chairman of the Korean Association.

He was an unfortunate figure who hadn’t appeared for several episodes.

Currently, he was barely surviving amidst a mountain of documents, even after dealing with the Irregular Gate incident.

Sitting almost lying down in his chair, he flicked his finger, and one of the documents next to him flew over on the wind.

“More importantly, these guys are trying to cause trouble in our country now.”

The title of the document in his hand was none other than ‘New King Church’.

This cult group, which hadn’t come to Korea until now, was finally causing trouble here as well.

For example, causing a mana explosion inside a Dungeon where people were, forcibly closing the gate of a low-difficulty Dungeon.

It was impossible for high-grade Dungeons, but low-grade gates could be forcibly closed by overwhelming them with mana that far exceeded the gate’s capacity.

    Without clearing it.

Then the Hunter inside the Dungeon would be trapped there, living or dying for the rest of their lives.

    “This is a real headache.”

Jin Ha-jeong, who swept his bangs back with his right hand, could only wait for Baek Ha-yeon to return as soon as possible today.
