    28. Reunion, Reunion

    28. Reunion, Reunion.

“Again! Again with the women! How can you settle for just women when you could be raking in massive profits???”

Yuna grabbed Yoo-eun and shook him violently, launching into a tirade.

The tension-filled place instantly transformed into a hilarious scene.

“Uh… Yuna-ssi, nothing is more precious than a person’s life. People come first.”

    “Shut up!”

While the two were bickering, the Princess wore a grave expression.

    Veronica and ten noble ladies.

It was by no means an easy task.

Who would offer their daughter as a maid to a man who was practically an enemy? Moreover, Yoo-eun’s maids didn’t have the honor or prestige typically associated with maids from the royal family or high-ranking noble houses. They were maids in name only, in reality, just slaves.

No one would give up their daughter or sister. Therefore, the nation’s force had to be mobilized to fulfill the condition.

    ‘Unless we share the spoils.’

    And then there was Veronica.

Considering her status, she was just a knight, but she was the vice-commander of the Knights Order and a high-ranking national talent, ranking 6th out of 35.

More than anything, she was Ludmilla’s right-hand woman and a close friend since childhood.

To demand her as a maid. And from a guy who was calling her “Madam, Madam” just yesterday, it was infuriating.

    Veronica’s expression wasn’t good either.

She was already extremely angry because of today’s incident, so if the master of the guy who caused it demanded her as a maid, she was bound to be in the worst mood.

Anyway, Veronica and ten noble ladies were already a pretty tough demand. But that was before Yuna stopped Yoo-eun, and more demands were sure to follow.

‘I was supposed to be the one calling the shots and granting forgiveness… but it’s been reversed.’

She didn’t like the situation, but she waited patiently.

“You could get dozens of territories and it still wouldn’t be enough! Think for a second, think.”

“Ugh… it’s pretty huge as it is.”

“Not at all. If you consider the value, taking an entire continent in the future would still be cheap.”

“Yeah, that’s right. You should get at least a few countries. Wouldn’t that be better for you? You could take nobles from each country.”

    “Oh?”

Fortunately, the simple-minded Yoo-eun was easily swayed by Yuna and Sora’s persuasion.

    “Ahem.”

He cleared his throat a few times and then made another proposal to the Princess.

“We’ll keep Veronica and the ten noble ladies, and we’ll take a continent other than the one you belong to.”

“…Excuse me, but you seem to be forgetting, ten noble ladies? You put weird things on all of them and took them all!”

    “Ah.”

Come to think of it, that was right.

Because of the royal palace devastation incident yesterday, a huge number of nobles and knights died, and the beautiful women were forcibly made Yoo-eun’s maids.

Even among those who became maids were the princesses and queens of the Lyzen Kingdom, except for Ludmilla.

“Then correction. Veronica and the ownership of the women who became maids yesterday… well, it can’t be helped since they’re already my maids. Anyway. That and a continent. That should do it. Okay?”

“…Leave Veronica out of it. Why do you keep including her?”

    “Because she’s a knight.”

    “?”

When Ludmilla, who didn’t understand Yoo-eun’s sensibilities, tilted her head, Veronica, who had been wearing a troubled expression, opened her mouth.

    “What do you want?”

    “Um… uhmmm….”

    Yoo-eun glanced at his wives.

    “It’s a little hard to say here….”

“What are you talking about? You’ve been taking every woman you see and sucking and kissing them, why are you pretending to hide it now?”

    “Hehe….”

“Don’t smile like that. It makes me want to hit you.”

The Princess sighed at his endlessly pathetic appearance.

“Try to have some satisfaction. How many people did you make maids yesterday, and you’re still taking Veronica?”

    “The more, the merrier.”

    “What’s that?”

“Ah… um… oh right, you’re from another world.”

    “….”

Sensing a bad premonition, her expression twisted.

Sure enough, as he raised a finger and began to explain, Ludmilla showed an expression of pure disgust.

“The more holes you can fill, the better.”

    “….”

Why does this kind of person have power?

She suddenly had infinite doubts about the existence of God.

“…Why did you marry this kind of person?”

And she asked the wives the question that naturally came to mind.

    “I know, right.”

    “I wonder.”

    “There were circumstances.”

    “….”

    They’re not exactly sane people.

“Anyway, that’s my demand. If you keep that, you can become the richest person in this world.”

    “….”

    The Princess pondered and answered.

“Veronica is still a no-go. There are princesses and queens among the people who became maids yesterday. Use them instead.”

“They’re already included in the ‘ownership of the women who became maids’ clause.”

“Really… does it have to be like this?”

Ludmilla trembled and glared at him.

The reason they were even having this negotiation was because of the massacre committed by the harem palace side – specifically, Im Seo-hyun – so if he had any shame or conscience, he should back down a little. But Yoo-eun didn’t have any of that. He persistently demanded Veronica.

“You seem to have forgotten, but take a look at the scene here. Is this a situation where you can be so brazen and make reckless demands?”

“I’ll say no, but that doesn’t change anything. I have the power.”

    “….”

Ludmilla trembled at his shameless attitude.

She didn’t like him from the first time she saw him, and as expected. There wasn’t a single thing she liked about him.

“Well, you’ll probably need some time to think, right? Take your time. If you really don’t want to, you can ask for something other than exclusive trade. Like, ‘Please destroy the neighboring empire.’ That kind of thing is easy.”

    “….”

Leaving the speechless Ludmilla behind, Yoo-eun called Seo-hyun.

“Are there people inside that mansion too?”

“Yes. I’ve put up a barrier beforehand so they can’t get out.”

“Okay. Get rid of everyone except the beautiful women. You know what I mean, right?”

    “Yes, Master-nim.”

Yoo-eun deliberately gave that order in front of the Princess and her party.

    “Wait a minute!”

    “Huh? Why?”

“Everything we’ve been talking about is about you stopping that woman from doing that kind of thing!!”

Im Seo-hyun’s massacres yesterday and today.

Ultimately, what she was asking Yoo-eun today was to control that and prevent it from happening again.

But just when it seemed like the conversation was coming to an end, he was now giving that order himself.

It was a situation where she could easily explode with anger.

But she was stunned by Yoo-eun’s subsequent answer.

“Yeah. But the negotiations broke down.”

    “….”

It was such a simple, absurd, and dumbfounding statement.

“Well, it’s not exactly broken down, but anyway, you said you’d think about it, so it’s not settled yet, and before that happens, shouldn’t I get as much profit as possible?”

    “Wh…at….”

“Anyway, keep that in mind and take your time to think. And don’t worry about those nobles. They were trying to harm me anyway. They were destined to die sooner or later.”

Yoo-eun left those words and disappeared with his wives.

    “What a…!”

Ludmilla’s anger made the back of Yoo-eun’s head tingle, but that was it, and they didn’t come back.

    .

    .

    .

“Hey, I’ll just go and quickly take care of the Northern situation.”

The Yoo-eun party returned to their room.

    Sora suddenly said that.

“Honestly, I feel a little bad. We’ve done some pretty terrible things. So, I thought we should suppress that at least quickly.”

“Ah. Um. It’s definitely not hard to end it. Let’s go together.”

“No. It’s okay. Why would you go when I can do it alone? You should take good care of Yuna, Sonya-ssi… and Sarang.”

    “…Okay. Come back safely.”

    “Yeah.”

    Sora disappeared outside again.

Although it was the Northern situation boasting a force of hundreds of thousands, she was such an overwhelmingly powerful woman that I wasn’t worried.

“Where is Sarang-ssi? I think I should see her.”

    “Go find her yourself.”

    “Eh..”

Yuna’s answer was cold as ice.

Well, she wouldn’t know where Han Sarang was or what she was doing.

    “I heard she’s helping with the city’s reconstruction….”

“More than that, I said I’d teach you light footwork, right? Come out.”

Yuna said in an even colder voice and left the room.

    “Uh… you don’t have to teach me….”

Yoo-eun scratched his head and followed her, and Sonya followed behind him.

“I don’t agree with everything the Princess says about dignity, but you need to have some form. At least you shouldn’t fly around and crash.”

“I can come out right away.”

    “It’s a problem before that.”

In the end, Yoo-eun learned light footwork while listening to Yuna’s nagging, and the Princess, who had somehow managed to contain the rampaging Seo-hyun – although she was hardly contained – and returned after handling the situation, was furious to the point of madness when she heard the carefree news.

It was fortunate that she had at least a shred of reason and didn’t come to cause a ruckus.
