    202 Selena’s Story

    202.

Seeing Selena’s face after so long, a welcoming feeling just wells up inside me.

Looks like I’ve grown attached to this evil witch.

    “Selena…”

“You’ve been well, Yongsa-nim? Well, according to the nun, it seems like it’s been quite eventful.”

    “Dance for me.”

    “D-Dance? What suddenly…”

She had a dumbfounded look on her face, but Selena’s body reacted to my command and began to move. It’s a dance that knows well how to move her body to look good.

It was a good spectacle that maximized the sexiness, which is Selena’s body’s strength. It would have been even better with music.

I’ve thought about this before, but could Selena have worked as a dancer before? Watching Selena’s clean dance lines made me think that.

Of course, it wasn’t just a request for eye candy.

It seems the Commandment Seal is still working.

I still remembered hearing that I could解除the Commandment Seal if I went to the magic city of Paiz. But it seems Selena hasn’t done that.

Well, if Selena still harbored resentment towards me, she wouldn’t have come back like this. But you have to tap even a stone bridge before crossing it.

    “W-What, suddenly dancing…”

After finishing the dance, Selena looked a little embarrassed. But she doesn’t seem to dislike it as much as before.

Even though Selena has already fallen for me, she’d get pissed if I said it was to see if the Commandment Seal was still working, right?

    Let’s make something up.

“I, I wanted to share the joy of reunion in a slightly special way. More than that, what happened with what you were looking into?”

    “Yeah, Paiz… Where should I start…”

Selena’s face darkened a little. And she began a long story.

    ========================================

    To summarize Selena’s long story:

Selena, who went near Paiz, discovered a powerful magical barrier surrounding Paiz.

Paiz is usually blocked from external intrusion by a barrier, but it was much stronger and more foreign than usual.

But Selena, the highest-ranking magician, was eventually able to interpret its formula and break through it. It took even Selena’s skills ten days, though.

The Paiz she entered was completely devoid of the usual heated debates and magical competitions of the magicians. Only an eerie silence filled the city.

Facilities and items remained intact. It was as if all the people who had been there had disappeared somewhere.

It’s a ghost story I’ve heard somewhere before. A city isolated from the outside for some reason. People who disappeared as if they had evaporated.

Even if not to the extent of the Seven Colors, there were quite a few who belonged to at least the upper ranks among the magicians residing in Paiz. A situation where they evaporated without even being able to ask for help from the outside.

Selena said she was thinking of leaving there as soon as possible at that point.

But she had gone to the trouble of breaking through the magical barrier, so she couldn’t go back empty-handed. Selena, who had the thought that she should at least go to her workshop, walked along the streets of Paiz, where she felt an eerie magic.

On that road, she apparently discovered a huge structure that she had never seen before. A structure that looked like a tower, with the same magic as the magical barrier that surrounded Paiz.

“What I found there is this.”

It’s a stone. It’s extremely black, as if all the light is being sucked into it. There was a complex pattern engraved on it in white. An unpleasant pattern that looks like a demon’s face…

    Pattern? If it’s a pattern…

    “Is it pattern magic?”

“Well, maybe. You’re close with that purple old man, Yongsa-nim, right? Take it and ask him later. He’ll be able to find out more than I can.”

Selena frowned as she spoke. Selena seems to be uncomfortable with Eldritch.

According to the H status window, it may be related to the fact that Eldritch stole Selena’s virginity.

Well, even if that’s not the case, Eldritch has a history of playing with Selena’s body for a long time after she lost consciousness due to the aftereffects of the Draconic Lord being destroyed. Maybe her body is rejecting him because of that memory…

“Well, okay. But are you okay, Selena? In that situation, your acquaintances who lived in Paiz…”

Selena let out a small breath and said. She didn’t seem to be very shaken.

“It can’t be helped. I didn’t want to stay in such a place any longer.”

    Hmm, that’s a cool attitude.

Selena sat up a little more comfortably and said.

“Well, I’ve achieved my goal. I’ve taken everything I could from the workshop. All the items and things that could be money… Oh, and I paid back the innkeeper with the money I brought. The previous 500,000g. It’s nothing, so you don’t have to worry about it.”

    “Oh, um, thank you.”

Looking back, it was long. It was a long, long road for a story that started with just paying for a broken wall.

The adventure that started with Blade breaking the innkeeper’s wall. When you think about it, the reason I’m on this ridiculous perverted program called the Hero Project is because of that.

Being caught by the crazy bastard Jeff and being attacked by the orange Bonaparte, and in the process, Riel dying once and me becoming a living doll and suffering, all of that was triggered there.

That 500,000g was solved so easily. It’s bittersweet, but somehow I feel relieved.

Now, there are only two days left for the Hero Auction. Once I get through this safely, I’ll be free to go on adventures again.

First of all, I’ll have to take the Shincheol lump in my luggage to the blacksmith’s village and start making armor. So that I can get rid of the penalty of being naked every time I use Overdrive.

Next is the return to the main quest to find the remaining two of the three jewels.

It seems like the quests are too far behind. When I actually count the days, it hasn’t been that long.

“Ah, Yongsa-nim. I heard you fought with Orange?”

“Yes, he was a bit of a tricky type.”

“Hmm, really? That guy is the weakest of the Seven Colors.”

    The weakest?

It was hard to accept. It’s not just because I was messed up by him.

I know a total of three of the Seven Colors.

Orange Bonaparte. Red Selena. Purple Eldritch.

From my direct experience, Bonaparte was the trickiest…

Well, I didn’t really fight Eldritch, I just unilaterally kicked him in the knee.

Selena gave a rather lengthy explanation when she saw that I had a hard time accepting it.

“Uh-huh, that’s what they say within the Seven Colors. Blue’s ability is a hard counter from the beginning, and Yellow is specialized in one-on-one combat from the start… Well, you and Yongsa-nim don’t have good compatibility. He’s the type to be annoying and irritating.”

    “What about Selena-ssi?”

“Me? I just transform into a dragon. The petty tricks he uses can’t damage a dragon’s scale, and above all, the puppet’s magic doesn’t work on dragons. Even if he hides among the dolls, I can burn them all with a wide-area attack.”

Hmm, now that you say that, it seems like it.

He was quite a troublesome enemy for me, but his compatibility among the Seven Colors seems to be the worst.

I almost said, ‘Then what about Eldritch?’, but I held back. Let’s not tarnish my teacher’s honor.

Anyway, I feel a little relieved to hear Selena’s assurance.

Even if I encounter Bonaparte again in future adventures, as long as Selena is with me, the same development as before won’t happen.

Well, in fact, even before, if the conditions had been equal, I wouldn’t have been defeated so easily. The restriction that I couldn’t leave my post because I had to protect Warehouse 3 was a fatal disadvantage.

While Selena and I were talking, Riel was strangely quiet.

    Did she fall asleep?

She was fidgeting next to me, so she wasn’t asleep. Riel kept looking at the black stone that Selena had brought.

    “Riel? What’s wrong?”

“Yongsa-nim… This stone… I have a bad feeling about it. I have a feeling that something very scary is going to happen…”

It was a dark voice, unlike Riel. I didn’t get a good feeling from that stone, which was blacker than black.

I hugged Riel tightly because she seemed anxious. Riel crawled into my arms without saying a word.

Immediately after making the Shincheol equipment, let’s stop by Eldritch and throw this stone at him to interpret it properly.

Then there will be no problem. If something bad happens as Riel said, it will happen to Eldritch.

The strange situation that happened in Paiz. I thought it was strange after hearing Selena’s story, but it’s not something that’s directly related to me right now. Selena came back safely like this, too.

What’s urgent for me was today’s Hero Auction.

It seems I was asleep for longer than I thought. Before I knew it, it was almost time for me to work.

“Haa, it’s almost time for me to go out. I’ll be back.”

I said goodbye to my companions and left the room.
