    2 – Vampire Duke

    Chocolat infiltrated the mansion.

The mansion’s hallway was dark even in broad daylight.

    She followed the hallway,

    following the presence of people.

She opened the door where an unusually foreign presence was felt, one that ordinary people wouldn’t have noticed.

Thin curtains covered the windows, casting a dim shadow over the entire room.

A woman sat on a chair in the middle of the room, reading a book.

The woman, dressed in a robe-like dress, asked in a heavy tone.

    “Who is it?”

    “….”

The Vampire exuded an ominous aura without turning her head.

She tried to take the initiative by creating an ominous aura.

The spread of an aura mixed with Magical Power that stimulated fear. The Vampire heightened her aura to intimidate her opponent.

But she chose the wrong opponent.

    Chocolat also gathered Magical Power.

Amel’s instruction was to drag out the target.

She didn’t want a battle or victory.

    Therefore, the simplest method.

    Magic Emission.

    Explosion.

    Bang.

    Amidst the mansion’s debris.

    A woman flew out.

The knight, who was sprawled on the ground, was surprised by the mansion’s explosion and even more shocked by the woman who had flown out.

    “Count!”

It seemed the woman was a Count.

As she was exposed to sunlight, steam began to rise, and her body was about to catch fire.

    The knight turned around.

    “You shouldn’t go.”

    “Are you alright!”

He didn’t even listen to Amel’s advice.

The knight hugged Count Prometal and shielded her with his body.

    “You bastards…”

As the knight gritted his teeth and turned to look at Amel, who seemed to be the cause of the situation, Count Prometal reached out to the knight’s face.

    Crack.

    His neck was torn off.

I told you not to go.

A fountain of Blood spurted from the knight’s torn neck, and the knight’s corpse withered.

The sprayed fountain of Blood became a mist, protecting the [Vampire Duke] from the sunlight,

    Black letters.

    …protected her.

As the sunlight was faintly blocked, the embers that were burning the [Vampire Duke]’s body subsided.

    The [Vampire Duke]’s eyes.

The red glow grew and shrank.

Her eyes, filled with frenzy, lost focus and soon met Amel’s.

    “….”

    “….”

Amel showed the Bloodstained Dagger from her bosom.

The [Vampire Duke]’s eyes widened in surprise, and she tensed her body.

    …She ran away.

    ‘Oh…’

I didn’t expect her to run away.

Or rather, I didn’t think much about it.

    The [Vampire Duke]’s eyes.

Amel knew what kind of eyes those were.

She had experienced it endlessly during [Berserk], and it also appeared in the Demonic Cultist kids. Because she had experienced it, she knew the murderous temptation that [Berserk] gave.

‘To overcome that and run away.’

I don’t know if I should say her mental strength is good.

Or if her survival instinct is strong.

“Aren’t you going to chase her?”

    Caria asked.

    Glaize was also worried.

“As far as I know, the only one who knows the location of the Sealed Body is that Duke.”

“It’s okay. She probably hid it in the Witch’s Workshop again. I know the location without having to ask. Besides…”

    Swoosh!

The sound of something being cut.

    It soon subsided.

    The collapsed mansion.

    Someone jumped over.

Chocolat, with her pale skin, threw what she was holding onto the ground. It was a person, and an information window was floating above their head.

    [Vampire Duke]

    Cleanly cut in half.

“Much weaker than a Death Knight.”

    “Death Knight?”

    “Could it be…”

Caria and Glaize’s eyes turned to Chocolat.

Chocolat’s emotionless eyes turned to them.

    Whatever.

‘Well, she was in black letters.’

Then she’s at most level 63.

Chocolat is at least level 75.

Force said that Chocolat was quite strong even among the Death Knights.

    10 levels at high levels.

Unlike the Hero’s level, it is a sign of actual Strength, so unlike 10 levels in the Hero’s level, this cannot be overturned with effort.

Amel looked down at the [Vampire Duke].

The [Vampire Duke], who was cut in half by Chocolat, couldn’t move, perhaps because of the shock.

    In that gap,

She took out the Bloodstained Dagger,

And stabbed the dagger into her heart.

    Psh.

    Blood sucking.

The [Vampire Duke]’s body withered like a mummy as it was sucked of Blood.

‘Since she’s a Duke, will she revive if I suck the Blood of the remaining two?’

‘(Well… I don’t know yet. I think we’ll know if we absorb the Sealed Body first.)’

    Amel reached out her hand.

She used Electrical Ability on the mansion’s debris.

    She emitted Electricity,

    And Electricity became her hand.

Amel, who extended her hand throughout the mansion, searched for the location of the Magic circle where the Magical Power imbued in the Electricity was being absorbed.

    “…Even Menola-nim…”

    “…Did she summon a Death Knight…”

Caria and Glaize were shocked by the death of the [Vampire Duke].

Even though their forces were weaker than the Undead forces, they killed one of their main forces too easily.

Since she was one of those who represented force, the two were greatly shocked.

    While they were contemplating.

    Their thoughts were read.

    “I can hear you thinking?”

    “”….””

“It doesn’t matter. If you want to let them know and prepare, go ahead. It won’t change the evaluation or treatment of you. No.”

    Amel corrected her words.

“Tell them to be fully prepared.”

Let’s see how they come out.

The Sealed Body first for now.

Amel cleared away the debris on the Magic circle according to Win’s instructions,

And lent Win the Magic manipulation rights to activate the Magic circle. The Magic circle shone and led Amel to the underground Witch’s Workshop.

There, she also met the illusion of [Blood] in a glass tube filled with orange liquid.

It was the left arm, and the Duke that [Vampire Baron Opelhauner] mentioned was that woman just now. She seemed to have something, but when I actually met her, well.

‘Maybe it’s because I’ve become too strong.’

I thought everything would be good if I became strong.

Battles have been reduced to trivialities.

    That’s why I protect.

    “….”

She looked at the Bloodstained Dagger.

She said she would undo the Seal.

‘It was something I had to do eventually.’

As long as the Great Devil exists, there is no true peace, and world peace is of course impossible to hope for.

    ‘(Now.)’

    ‘What.’

‘(Let’s stop absorbing the Sealed Body here. If we absorb more, we might not be able to handle it.)’

    ‘….’

She looked at the Bloodstained Dagger.

She looked at the Bloodstained Dagger.

She felt the power contained within. She wrapped Magical Power around it and groped for the identity of the inherent power.

From the Bloodstained Dagger, which had absorbed 6 of the 6 Sealed Bodies, a Doll-like outline was groped. There was no vitality, but that was probably because there was no heart.

Now the remaining body parts are the head and heart.

The Sealed Bodies without a heart gathered to create a body, but there was no Strength to move the body.

‘(If they are a race that lives through Blood as a medium, then the heart will contain the most powerful Strength. That’s common sense even for the Vampires you know, right?)’

So let’s deal with it now.

‘But how did you say you could undo the Seal?’

‘(A sacrifice is needed. Fill the head and heart with Vampires as sacrifices.)’

‘(It’s confirmed with what happened just now. If we catch the remaining two Dukes and those Count guys and other hidden guys and offer them as sacrifices, we can revive her.)’

‘(After dealing with them, revive the head and heart and deal with them too. Perfect.)’

    Will things go that smoothly?

‘Well, I’ll do as you intend for now.’

    ‘(Thanks.)’

    Amel left the Witch’s Workshop.

    That’s right,

‘Vampires and Witches seem to be very close. Why didn’t you know?’

‘(The names are different. Besides, how many races are trading with our Witches? I had only heard of Bloodia by name.)’

    Anyway,

There’s no change in what I have to do.

Securing the remaining Sealed Bodies. In addition, the hunting of Vampires has been added.

    “Menola was really defeated?”

    Count Menola Prometal.

Menola Duke’s current identity in human society. The mansion where she was staying exploded, and her whereabouts became unknown.

Then what I heard might be true.

    Count Glaize.

The letter he sent contained information that a person named Americano was collecting the Progenitor’s Sealed Bodies.

She possesses the Sealed Artifact and is absorbing the Sealed Bodies and gathering them together.

It is unknown why a human is doing such a thing, but it is a letter asking for cooperation because it will help the Progenitor’s revival. Of course, I had no intention of accepting such a dishonorable and humiliating request.

    Duke Bendgashi despises humans.

He is only weakened by the Progenitor’s Seal.

On the day he is released from the Seal, Bloodia will be revived, and humans will be reduced to mere livestock.

    But not now.

He is aware that the current era, where Heroes who are called punks are swarming, is dangerous.

Most Heroes are of the human race, but those chosen by God cannot be viewed the same as ordinary humans.

Bloodia, who received the baptism of Blood, and the Heroes, who received the baptism of God.

Duke Bendgashi viewed the difference between the two as the same.

However, it would be a lie to say that his pride was not hurt by that.

Duke Bendgashi, the oldest of the Bloodia, had little left to regain the glory of the past.

He respects the Progenitor, but what is important to him is his own life and honor. The Hero Americano killed Duke Menola.

‘Did the Blood that I have lived with for so long rot away in vain?’

An opponent that can never be underestimated.

Duke Menola was such an existence to him.

Yet someone killed her before anyone realized it and disappeared.

Duke Bendgashi could not fail to understand what that meant.

Even if he had lofty pride, he would not have been able to rise to this position or live if he did not have cold-hearted thinking.

    “Progenitor.”

Duke Bendgashi looked up at the Progenitor.

The Progenitor in a glass tube filled with orange liquid.

It was the Progenitor’s heart, which could be said to be the core of this revival ceremony.

In order to revive the Progenitor, the Blood of the same Bloodia was needed, and the heart was needed to circulate that Blood throughout the body.

The heart is not an essential organ for Bloodia, but the higher the Bloodia, the more important the heart becomes.

This is because the True Blood, which can be said to be the source of Bloodia’s Strength, is contained in the vessel of the heart and accumulates over the years.

There was no justification, no certainty, and he respected her, so he couldn’t dare to try it, but the unconscious conviction that he would lose pushed him on the back.

    In other words,

    ‘Give me the Progenitor’s Strength.’

    The glass tube was broken.

The Progenitor’s heart was in Duke Bendgashi’s hand, and his teeth were embedded in it.
