    19. It

    +++

    “How was it?”

    “…It was alright.”

“Hmm~ Your reaction isn’t very enthusiastic? Was it boring?”

    “Huh? It’s not particularly that….”

We came out of the movie theater after enjoying the film in our own way.

If we were a couple, we should have watched a 19+ romance! But I thought Yuna-ssi would dislike it, so I just watched a decent action movie.

I don’t know why there are so many people even though it’s not a holiday. There were so many people glancing at us every time we passed by, so I was quite bothered.

It seems like it’s because Yuna-ssi is too pretty. I guess I should have rented out the whole place? But Yuna-ssi said she didn’t like that. Tch. At this rate, we can’t be alone together.

“Hey, isn’t that Lee Yuna over there?”

    “Huh? Where?”

“That girl holding popcorn over there. It feels like seeing a celebrity.”

    They even know her name.

Well, I guess it’s understandable. I heard Sora-nunna was listed (?) on the internet like a celebrity, and Yuna-ssi is definitely not behind in terms of beauty, so maybe it’s natural.

    “Yuna-ssi, you’re famous.”

    “….”

My Yuna-ssi, who doesn’t like it at all.

Rather, she’s lowering her face and sighing.

As expected, Yuna-ssi’s personality doesn’t really like this kind of thing.

“But don’t worry. As long as I’m here, there won’t be any idiots asking for autographs.”

    “What autograph? I’m not a celebrity….”

“Well, you’re not acting or singing, but if you’re known by name like this, aren’t you practically a celebrity? Congratulations.”

    “I’m not happy at all.”

Well, I roughly expected it. It’s not like she’d like this kind of personality.

“Would it have been better to rent the whole place?”

“That’s kind of…doesn’t it feel a bit off? Privatizing a movie theater.”

For a moment, I almost said, ‘Sonya-ssi did that,’ but I desperately exerted my control and held back.

If I blurt that out, today’s date is over. Sonya-ssi is Yuna-ssi’s reverse scale.

“Then there are many rooms left over in the Imperial Palace, so let’s grab one and make it into a movie theater. In 4D. How about it? You can come and watch whenever you want. Comfortably.”

    “Hmm…that might be alright….”

    Yuna-ssi nods her head.

The nape of her neck, which was hidden by the red scarf, was slightly revealed.

    Ugh…I must endure.

    “Aren’t you hungry?”

Since I decided to only hold hands today, I have to keep it.

    Thump.

    Therefore, I held her hand.

The popcorn Yuna-ssi is holding is a bit big, but it shouldn’t be too difficult to hold with one hand.

    “Ah….”

Yuna-ssi doesn’t pull away from the hand I grabbed.

She just blushes and looks at our joined hands.

“What do you want to eat? Steak?”

    “Korean set menu.”

    +++

Around the time Yuna and Yueun were in the middle of their date, Sora, who had purchased school uniforms by style and even various cosplay outfits just in case, returned to her base in Gangnam.

Gangnam is the largest Dungeon City in South Korea, and a very dangerous neighborhood where the most wicked and strong adventurers have set up shop.

But ironically, it was the safest place among the Dungeon Cities.

There are several reasons for this,

First of all, Yueun completely cleaned up the guild she originally belonged to.

Although they had formed a coalition and recognized each other’s territories, there was no way there wouldn’t be power struggles.

Unofficial and small-scale conflicts occurred every day, contributing to the grim atmosphere of the city.

However, since Yueun cleaned up the guilds and took control of the city with a unified force, such incidents rarely occurred.

Secondly, there’s Lieutenant Colonel Han Sarang.

She, who can be said to be the most famous person among the South Korean soldiers, shot and killed over 100 people with a gun.

Of course, she didn’t shoot them directly, but they died by her orders, so it’s the same thing.

Most of the victims were adventurers, and this incident shook not only South Korea but the entire world.

In Korea, there are so many amazing people (Yueun and Han Sarang) that there is no big change, but in the world, influenced by this, guild suppression by the military is actively taking place. In other words, the world’s trend has changed due to the ‘Hannam-dong Massacre’ she committed.

Anyway, the person who committed such a huge thing is even promoted and firmly in place, so who can cause a ruckus? Unless they’re someone like Yueun, they won’t be able to move as they please.

Thirdly, there’s the existence of the Special Security Department’s female police officers, led by Senior Superintendent Eun.

They were trained (written as training, read as having sex with..) by Yueun and gained the power to eliminate ordinary adventurers by the truckload, and as they participated in security activities, adventurer crimes, which were already almost non-existent, drastically decreased.

Therefore, Gangnam City is now one of the rising cities in Korea.

Now, not only are there many floating populations, but the number of people who want to come in and settle down is gradually increasing.

    “…What is it?”

In front of Sora, who returned in a few hours, a middle-aged man was kneeling.

As soon as he came out of the station, he found her and ran up like this and knelt.

    Kwang!

He slammed his head on the floor.

He slammed it so hard that his forehead burst and blood flowed down.

The people’s attention was focused on the terrible yet amazing sight.

Thanks to the size and beauty of that area, people quickly recognized Sora.

“Saintess-nim!! Please! Please fix my son’s legs!!”

    “S…Saintess?”

Sora, who was hardened by the sudden action of the man.

As she spat out words with an awkward expression, several people additionally flocked in front of her.

    “Ooh! Saintess-nim!”

“Saintess-nim! I lost one arm while working at the factory last year! Please fix it if you can!”

    “I have legs!”

    “I have fingersㅡ,”

    “I have one eye…”

From where did so many people pop out, her surroundings were quickly filled with injured people.

    “W-what is this!”

    “Saintess-nim, please!”

If they were enemies, she would kill them without hesitation, but these are ordinary people. And Sora wasn’t cruel enough to push those people away carelessly.

While she was struggling with what to do,

    “How dare you!! Impudent!!!!”

A group of people holding strange signs and flags appeared and began to separate those attached to Sora.

“Get out of the way! How dare you touch a sacred body!”

They even accompanied it with violence.

    “…?”

When they had separated all the people by mobilizing a dozen young men, the one who seemed to be the leader of the group approached Sora with a cross-shaped sign.

There, the familiar words ‘Jesus Heaven, Disbelief Hell’ were written largely.

    “Eugh….”

Sora, who unknowingly retreated from the extremely popular dog smell.

    But he didn’t care.

Rather, with a very reverent expression and gesture, he bowed,

“We, who are sinners, see the Second Coming of Jesus, who came to this land again according to the covenant made with blood.”

    “Ah! Lord!”

The man prostrates himself on the floor and bows to Sora.

Following him, the rest of the group also bowed to Sora all at once.

Everyone around was 질린 (jillin – 질리다) with the cult-like sight, and even the injured people who had been forcibly thrown away were horrified and distanced themselves. Of course, they didn’t go back because they were full of thoughts of getting treatment.

    “Believers!”

The man, who had already raised his head, declared with a cross-shaped sign in one hand and a Bible taken out from somewhere in the other.

“This person in front of us now is Jesus Christ!”

    “Ah, Amen!”

“The words of that prophecy that countless apostles and believers have conveyed at the cost of their lives 2,000 years ago are finally fulfilled before us today!”

The way he spoke with his arms outstretched to the sky was extremely cult-like.

However, his followers cheered enthusiastically, even shedding tears, and even sang hymns.

“Ah, Lord…your servant is here. Please look down on us and save us!”

“No, what are you saying? Who’s Jesus…excuse me. I’m just an adventurer. Don’t believe this person.”

She explained directly to the believers that it wasn’t trueㅡ,

    “Ah! Jesus saw me!”

    “He spoke to me!!”

    “Ooh!”

    It was rather counterproductive.

    “No, you fuckers…I’m not.”

She even spat out harsh words, but it didn’t work at all.

    “Lead our lacking selves!”

    “Lead us!”

Now they’re even doing 통성기도 (tonseonggido – praying aloud).

“…Do as you please. I’m going.”

    “Ah! Where are you going!”

The group blocking Sora from going home.

“We have built a temple with all our heart and soul, so please come to the temple and save our sins!”

“What are you really saying. Get out of the way. Before I fucking hit you.”

“Lord! Jacob did not let go of the angel even though his thigh was broken to receive blessings. How can we let go when you are here!”

While saying that, the man grabs Sora’s arm.

Thanks to that, her anger flared up.

    “Ah, I’m telling you….”

She raises her hand with a 확 (hwak – quick/sudden) motion.

    “I’m warning you, right nowㅡ,”

    Bbeeeeeeeeee – !

    A loud whistle!

When she turned her head, Senior Superintendent Eun, accompanied by members of the Special Security Department, was standing there with her eyes blazing.

“You fucking dog Christians should be in church, why are you making a fuss here. So noisy. Hey mister! Let go of that hand. Before I fucking cut it off.”

    “Chief, that’s a problematic statement.”

“Problematic my ass. What else should I call a dog Christian if not a dog Christian.”

“No, not that…saying they should be in church…even Christians hate dog Christiansㅡ,”

“It’s like feminists hating Megal. Do you believe that kind of bullshit?”

“…Christian friends, this has nothing to do with me.”

    “Shut up.”

Senior Superintendent Eun took out a police baton from her waist and aimed it.

It’s meaningless equipment against adventurers, but they’re ordinary people. No problem.

“I’ll give you 10 seconds. Let go and get lost.”
