16 – My First Trip Abroad
by Afuhfuihgs
About two days had passed since I finished playing the game.
Yes, I arrived in England.
What? You’re asking what happened to the excitement of the plane and the process leading up to it? Rest assured, I sold it along with my laziness, so I don’t have it anymore.
“Ugh… Sleeping sitting up is really not a good idea.”
My body felt a bit stiff, probably because I slept sitting up on the plane.
My back hurts!
And what about the airport fans that every famous person supposedly encounters?
Take a look at my fashion right now.
A black hat, a black mask, and sunglasses.
A black hoodie hiding my blonde hair, and jeans.
So dark, so edgy.
There was no way I’d be recognized.
I’m still a rookie S-Class Hunter, and there are hardly any fans of mine here.
I should probably be grateful for my lack of popularity.
“I should head to the British Association first.”
It was 3 AM Korean time.
7 PM in England.
The time difference is huge.
“I have to meet them by 10 PM.”
That gives me about three hours.
It takes about an hour to get to the Association from here, so that leaves me with two hours.
“Then let’s get moving again.”
I approached the car that was waiting nearby, as Jin Ha-jeong had told me and written down for me.
It looked like a multi-million dollar car, something I couldn’t have even dreamed of before.
“@$%!$%”
“……?”
An old man got out of the car and spoke in some strange, incomprehensible language (English), and my mind went blank for a moment. But I quickly regained my senses and attached the translation device he gave me around my neck.
“Are you the S-Class Sword Demon sent by the Korean Association?”
“Ah, yes. That’s me.”
Relieved to finally hear the old man’s voice, I got into the car he opened for me.
I felt like I had become a precious young lady.
The old man got into the driver’s seat and started the car.
A little while later, a building similar in size to the Korean Association came into view.
‘So this is the British Association.’
It had a grandeur that felt quite different from the Korean one.
The Korean Association felt rigid and tall, like a high tower, while this one was modern and spread out horizontally, giving it a more familiar feel.
It’s not that I dislike the Korean Association, but the feeling is just different.
“We’ve arrived.”
“Ah, thank you.”
Ha-yeon got out of the car through the door he opened and immediately entered the Association.
There was still plenty of time left, but there was nothing else to do outside anyway.
I don’t know anything around here.
But there was something more important than that.
As soon as I entered the building, I saw a large hall and a huge chandelier decorating the ceiling.
It felt… so luxurious!
Why doesn’t our Association have something like this!
‘Still, they said Brighton would be reopened once this gate is closed.’
The city that was devastated was located quite far from the beach.
The beach itself wasn’t damaged, so we’ll be able to swim there once it’s over.
As I was thinking that, I entered the Association, and an employee at the counter spoke to me.
“Who are you?”
“I’m Baek Ha-yeon, an S-Class Hunter from Korea.”
At those words, the employee nodded, as if they were prepared, and handed me a card from the drawer.
The card had my picture on it, along with some unknown English words.
Translation is just translation, not localization.
There’s no way to translate something like this.
“What’s this?”
“This is a card that allows you to enter the accommodation located in the Association. It also grants you many other privileges, so please keep it with you.”
I put the card in my pocket and left the counter, heading to the room the employee had told me about.
England focuses a bit more on accommodation, so an entire floor boasts almost hotel-level quality.
So my room is… Room 6 on the 4th floor.
“Here it is.”
I held the card up to the lock on the door marked [6], and the door opened, revealing the interior.
It wasn’t as nice as the house I bought recently, but it was a reasonably spacious room with luxurious bedding and top-of-the-line electronics.
It was a really great place to stay for a while.
“I should unpack my luggage later.”
The time is 9:30 PM.
It wouldn’t matter if I went in now.
I doubt anyone would arrive exactly at 10 PM anyway.
With that thought, I took off the hat and sunglasses I was wearing and put on Derkael’s Immortality.
Everyone wears Combat Suits.
Besides, this is so comfortable that I could even call it everyday wear instead of a Combat Suit.
“Then I should get going.”
The strategy meeting was on the 8th floor.
With that in mind, I went up to the 8th floor and opened the door to the conference room.
What I saw were four people with various hair colors.
‘Impregnable Fortress, Dark Current, Migratory Bird, and Sea Witch.’
I memorized them by their titles rather than their names.
Of course, I had memorized Yami Kaede and Ellen Maiasa, whom I had been told to be wary of.
‘Sword Demon hasn’t arrived yet.’
Feeling a bit relieved, I sat down in the empty seat.
Coincidentally, the seat was next to Yami Kaede.
It was the closest seat to the center among the empty ones.
I had been told to greet them first, so I decided to do so.
“Yes, nice to meet you. I’m Baek Ha-yeon, Yami Kaede.”
“…Yeah. Nice to meet you too.”
A cat-like face with long black hair that reached her waist.
Her black eyes were as deep as an abyss, and her tone was the same.
Her clothes were also the kind that assassins in martial arts worlds would wear.
An old black uniform.
But Ha-yeon, sensing that her real personality wasn’t like that, shook her hand and looked at the Sea Witch, Ellen Maiasa, sitting across from her.
Unlike the generally gloomy Yami Kaede, Ellen Maiasa had vibrant blue hair.
And she was wearing a flashy but not awkward white outfit that highlighted her shining blue eyes, and she greeted me first.
“You’re Ha-yeon that Ha-jeong told me about? Nice to meet you, I’m Ellen Maiasa.”
“Nice to meet you too.”
“This is a gift.”
“…..?”
I tilted my head at her words, but soon a shape appeared in front of me.
A bracelet made of water.
“I made it with my ability. It’s not much, but it’ll give you a rough attack power buff, so wear it when the fight starts later.”
“Thank you. I’ll use it well when we fight later.”
As I put the Water Ring on my arm, I started to notice the other people.
Fallen Grace, known as Impregnable Fortress, and Shine Reinfield, known as Migratory Bird.
Fallen was a person with sturdy muscles covered in solid armor, and the Grace family’s signature gray hair.
And her combat style lived up to her title of Impregnable Fortress, boasting the best tanking ability among the S-Class Hunters.
And Shine Reinfield was a blonde girl.
Of course, she was actually an adult, but she looked like a girl.
Anyway, she was also a firepower dealer who flew through the sky and rained down bombs, just like her title.
Her clothes were… just really casual.
After roughly checking out the other people, I was doing something else for a while.
Then, the door opened again and another person came in.
“I’m not late, am I?”
Duke Trelin.
An S-Class Hunter belonging to the Red Lion Guild, with the title of Black Magic Swordsman.
I’ll skip the details; if you’ve heard the title Black Magic Swordsman, you can probably guess what he’s like.
Anyway, his appearance was that of an middle-aged man with hair that resembled a red lion’s mane.
His tone was also like that, and although it contained humor, he didn’t put his heart into it, so he felt like a friendly neighborhood uncle.
He had a familiar image.
His clothes were also just rags, which made him seem even more so.
I guess it’s probably not just ordinary rags, considering he has mana.
Duke Trelin found an empty seat and sat down there.
A few more minutes passed, and soon two more people came in.
‘Hongyeom and Flash.’
Hongyeom Jaina Veronica and Flash Delia Roserel.
Hongyeom was wearing a rather revealing uniform and had a scabbard at her waist, looking like a typical knight who upheld chivalry.
Flash was wearing a skintight suit with various decorations, looking like a warrior straight out of SF.
Of course, both of them were incredibly beautiful.
S-Classes are all beautiful.
The Constellations changed them that way, so there’s no helping it.
Hongyeom was a cool beauty with red hair, and Delia was a refreshing noblewoman? type of woman with orange hair.
The two of them also sat side by side in the empty seats.
Now there was only one person left.
Sword Demon Raven Reynolds was the only one left.
Well, the Association President was also left, but he wasn’t a practical force, so he was excluded.
‘What time is it now?’
I checked the time on my wrist and saw that it was 9:55 PM.
It’s five minutes away, when is this person coming?
As I was thinking that.
As if a tiger comes on its own, an old man came in as the door burst open.
Muscles that were solid in a different sense from Fallen Grace, a neatly arranged suit.
And snow-white hair and a angular, dignified elderly beauty.
He was the very image of an old gentleman.
And the moment he made eye contact with me.
He smiled slightly and walked towards the empty seat and sat down.
Then, a message window popped up.
[The Constellation, ‘Blood-Soaked Oni’ waves hello, saying he’s glad to see you.]
Uh……
What is this?
This was the first time I had seen another Constellation appear since my Constellation.
