156. Daughters
Yes, where should I begin?
A lot of time has passed.
Several years have passed, but the Academy has still not been restored. I heard they plan to move the entire site, claiming some kind of curse has been placed upon it, but it no longer concerns us.
Because we have children.
“Skol, Hati.”
“Yes!”
It’s been years since Priscilla and Claire gave birth to the lives they carried in their wombs. Each of them was busy taking care of their own child.
My situation was no different. My belly, once swollen with twins, had since deflated to its usual curves. Instead, the twins who came into the world made me lose sleep with their incredibly loud cries.
… It was the first time since being born into this world that I had dark circles under my eyes.
Fortunately, my daughters, who drained my energy as they grew, were worth it and grew up healthy and strong.
My daughters, Skol and Hati.
Hati is a black wolf beastkin who resembles Freya’s coloring, and Skol is a white wolf beastkin who resembles mine.
At first glance, they resemble us in our childhood, but perhaps because their appearances are mixed, their impressions are quite different.
Still, there was no disagreement that the children were beautiful, regardless of who they resembled. It’s a bit embarrassing to say myself, but I have a considerable appearance, and Freya is undeniably beautiful, so naturally, our daughters are beautiful too.
Even so, they are still children, so they only seem cute for now, but I could catch a glimpse of their future beauty, hinting at how stunning they will be as adults.
It’s not that I’m being overly proud or anything, it’s an objective assessment. Really.
“Did you sleep well?”
“Yes!”
I scooped up Skol and Hati, one in each arm. Perhaps they were so happy to see their mother’s face, their tails wagged and flapped incessantly.
Unable to just flap their tails, they wrapped them around my arms and then puckered their lips towards me.
It’s something we do every day. They’re trying to give me their good morning kiss to start the day.
“Mwah.”
“Heehee…”
Skol and Hati, having received kisses on their lips, let out smiles that were identical, just like twins. I smiled back at them.
It was at that moment that a rumbling sound echoed. Skol rubbed her small belly and then said to me.
“Skadi, I’m hungry.”
“You should call me Skadi Mom.”
“Skadi.”
“Skadi Mom.”
“Skadi.”
“Mom.”
“Skadi.”
Skol didn’t back down an inch from my words. In the end, I raised the white flag and quietly started heading towards the dining room.
“… Hati, you’ll call me properly, right?”
“Skadi!”
“… Ugh.”
The parenting plan I had ambitiously made with my family, to attach “Mom” after everyone’s name… it wasn’t going as planned yet.
I wonder if they’re too young to understand the meaning of the titles, or if I’m failing at parenting.
But I guess if I teach them a little more, it’ll work out?
“Sister, when did you wake up?”
“Ah, Freya. I just woke up.”
As I walked down the hallway towards the dining room, I met Freya. Freya naturally took Hati from my arms.
“Freya Mom!”
“Did you sleep well, kids? Oh my, look at your messy hair.”
A black wolf taking care of a baby black wolf. Seeing them like this, it really hits me that Skol and Hati are our children.
… In a way, I’m a little envious. Will I ever be called “Mom” by my daughters?
Or being called “Dad” is fine too. I was a man in my past life. Anything is fine, as long as I can be called a parent by my children. It feels strange to be called by my name by the daughters I bore.
After a few turns and straight paths down the hallway, I reached the door to the dining room.
When I opened the door, the table was already laden with food, and I could see Priscilla and Claire, who were engrossed in their children.
“Priscilla Mom!”
“Claire Mom!”
Our daughters waved their hands enthusiastically, happy to see us.
Priscilla and Claire turned their heads upon hearing the calls and looked at me.
They looked quite tired.
“You look tired, are you okay?”
“It’s just that the kids are very energetic, so it’s a little tiring… Ah, Sophia, don’t be picky. Mom knows you’re secretly feeding Pipi the vegetables, you know?”
Sitting in the chair next to Priscilla was her daughter, Sophia. A young wolf beastkin with characteristic red hair and drill pigtails. She clearly inherited traits from both me and Priscilla.
Sophia, who had been wearing a confident expression while looking at her empty plate, flinched and tucked her tail away when her mother caught her sneaky move.
Cute.
I turned my head and looked at Claire, who was sitting on the opposite side.
“Claire? How are you?”
“I’m okay… no, I’m not. I thought I’d built up a lot of stamina, but it’s still not enough…”
Claire slumped onto the dining table and let out a deep sigh. An overwhelming exhaustion emanated from her.
Next to Claire sat a child eating diligently. It was Claire’s daughter, Chloe, characterized by her flowing golden hair, tail, and ears. Although she is still smaller than her mother, the height difference will likely be reversed soon.
“Chloe keeps wanting to fight me all the time, so it’s killing me… I want to rest a bit.”
“Haha… I’ll help you later.”
Perhaps inheriting Claire’s love for swords, Chloe particularly enjoyed a good fight. It’s not just playing with a child physically… Chloe’s golden aura, which she inherited, makes it difficult to deal with her.
Furthermore, Chloe doesn’t suffer from Claire’s chronic stamina issues, so Chloe can fight all day with her aura activated. It seems she inherited my traits, which only made it harder for Claire, who was taking care of her child.
And there was one more.
“Levatein, you know?”
“Yes!”
A child with white hair and green eyes, holding Ur’s hand tightly. Like the other children, this child also had ears and a tail, and was Ur’s daughter, Levatein.
“Is Ur taking good care of you?”
“Yes, Mom had sex with me a lot!”
“Haha, Levatein, that’s not the word to use in that situation.”
Levatein’s race is swords. Like Ur, Levatein can freely switch between human form and sword form.
However, perhaps due to her ambiguous origins, Levatein’s experience hasn’t kept up with her growth rate. Despite her body growing quite large, she remains close to being a natural.
That’s why she sometimes misuses words like this.
That’s why I ordered Ur to take responsibility for Levatein’s care. I’ve made this command particularly forceful, so Ur now prioritizes taking care of Levatein over most other things.
Ur said hurriedly.
“M-Master, Levatein is forcefully having sex with me-“
“Mom, you told me to ‘take good care of her,’ but are you reporting me?”
As Levatein whispered in Ur’s ear, Ur’s mouth was firmly shut. Seeing her struggling to speak, it seems something is preventing her from saying what she wants.
It’s probably nothing important.
I patted Ur’s head to encourage her. It must be quite difficult to take care of her daughter, who has grown bigger than her, so I should make time to help her later.
“Levatein, transform into your sword form.”
“Yes!”
For your information, when a one-handed sword gives birth, it surprisingly produces a dagger.
A blunt, short sword that might not even be able to injure someone. However, as Levatein grew older, her blade grew longer, and now she is a sharp blade with a blade length of about 30 centimeters.
“Hmm… It seems like she’ll be big enough for Chloe to use soon. You can return to your human form now.”
Since Chloe was looking for a sword, I intended to give Levatein as a gift. Although Levatein hasn’t reached the level of a magic sword yet, she is still a magnificent and sturdy renowned sword due to her origins. It’s probably fine to use her for a lifetime.
Anyway, that’s all the children we’ve had.
Skol and Hati, Sophia, Chloe, and Levatein.
The mansion, which was once silent with no one but Freya and me, has now become bustling with countless people. This includes not only my lovers and children but also other servants who have celebrated joyous occasions.
The mansion is filled with the sounds of constant chatter and vibrant energy. I truly love this change.
It’s an overwhelming amount of happiness.
“Kids, I love you.”
I said, looking around at everyone for no particular reason. It felt awkward and embarrassing to say such sentimental words, but these are my true feelings.
I smiled with genuine sincerity.
“Kids…?”
As I was about to start eating because I was getting hungry, I noticed that everyone’s gaze towards me was strange.
Pounding heartbeats, heavy breathing, hot breaths, hazy eyes…
“Uh…”
I knew very well what the words that followed would be, based on my past experiences.
“Sister…”
“Skadi…”
“Skadi…”
“H-Hey, wait a minute.”
Sensing the future, I could only plead with trembling eyes.
“P-Please, spare me from a third child.”
