Chapter 118.2
by AfuhfuihgsIt was just like Goliath to say that.
[Now go.]
Woo-jin glanced back and forth between the Golden Sheep of Gravity and Geumyang.
“Kid.”
Geumyang, still resting her chin on her hand, gazed calmly at Woo-jin.
“Win. We’ll handle the tree.”
By then, only Woo-jin’s head remained.
He nodded and replied.
“I’m counting on you.”
Ssss.
Woo-jin closed his eyes, and soon, he vanished completely.
The spot where he disappeared was left with the fresh leaves of the golden marigolds, fluttering in the wind.
The Golden Sheep of Gravity turned to Geumyang.
[That tree must be something Aktonom painstakingly created. Can you destroy it?]
“I don’t know… but we have to try. Now that we know the main body has an interest in this.”
[Don’t worry. Your IQ is 100, mine is 120. With a combined 220, we’ll figure something out.]
Geumyang frowned.
“…Are you actually an idiot?”
[What’s wrong?]
“My IQ isn’t 100, and adding IQs together doesn’t even make sense… Never mind. Explaining it to you would be a waste of time.”
Geumyang let out a small laugh and stood up.
Creeeak!
A fissure opened between the golden marigold fields.
“Let’s get going. Our vessel’s struggling; we can’t be slacking off.”
[Let’s go.]
Geumyang and the Golden Sheep of Gravity stepped into the fissure.
***
Inside the Head Principal’s Office.
It was moments after
Ahn Woo-jin collapsed while charging at Lee Se-Ah.
Upon seeing Woo-jin suddenly stop breathing, the Head Principal wore a dazed expression.
Meanwhile, Se-Ah’s smartphone vibrated. She glanced at the incoming message and, smiling, turned to the Head Principal.
“Head Principal, we should leave for now. Ye-seo has been recovered. She’s still breathing, so escape with her.”
“My daughter… I’m sorry I messed this up.”
“Oh, Head Principal, you’ve done so much for us already. I’m only grateful.”
“Thank you for saying that….”
Tears welled up in the Head Principal’s eyes.
Soon, the door to the office opened, and two members of the Do-hwa Group entered. One of them was Lee Jung-mi from the Student Council’s Audit Division.
Jung-mi had brought a new wheelchair.
“Jung-mi, I’ll leave it to you.”
“Yes, as you ordered.”
Jung-mi and her colleague transferred the immobile Head Principal into the new wheelchair and exited the office.
Only Se-Ah, Woo-jin’s fallen body, and a profound silence remained in the room.
Se-Ah approached Woo-jin, gazing down at him with a sorrowful expression.
“Senior… I told you not to look into my eyes. Once you do, you can never return. Though, I guess it’s not like you knew.”
Se-Ah’s power activated when someone made eye contact with her.
Her ability was to transport those who met her gaze into Neo Seoul’s Reverse World.
Escaping the monsters of the Reverse World was nearly impossible, effectively a death sentence.
“I’ll at least make you a grave, Seni—”
Suddenly, Se-Ah’s eyes widened, and she quickly looked up.
An immense magical force was descending from above the Central Tower. Something unknown was rapidly falling toward the ground.
Then.
Boom!!
A powerful gravitational force descended, crushing and tearing apart the upper section of the Central Tower.
The ceiling collapsed with a rumble. Se-Ah leaped back, deflecting the debris falling toward her with her magic.
Thud!!
Before Woo-jin.
A massive man landed amidst the dust in the Head Principal’s office.
The man grinned broadly, showing his large teeth.
The debris that was about to bury Woo-jin compressed dsheepatically and bounced away, leaving Woo-jin unscathed.
Se-Ah eyed the man with a wary expression. A formidable foe had appeared.
A sound like a growling beast emanated from the man.
He straightened his massive body.
The dust quickly settled, revealing the colossal figure.
Long blonde hair, ferocious muscles.
A man standing at 2.3 meters tall.
Neo Seoul’s mightiest and one of the world’s greatest monsters.
“A fun one has shown up…! Hahaha!!”
Goliath.
He laughed heartily as he greeted Se-Ah.
“Goliath… I didn’t expect you to show up.”
Se-Ah was stunned as she pointed at the ceiling.
“How did you break through? The jammer cuts off magic flow, so you shouldn’t be able to break it with magic—”
“Heh, I broke it with my bare hands…!”
Goliath showed off his enormous fist, wrapped in tattered bandages.
“Wow~. Of course. Forgive me for trying to judge you by normal standards.”
Se-Ah squinted her eyes, smiling slyly.
“But why are you here? Weren’t you supposed to be a bystander?”
“Do not dare to define me with a mere word!”
Goliath threatened Se-Ah with his deep, gruff voice.
He stretched out his enormous, muscular arms.
The cracks that had filled the sky after Woo-jin’s death were gone.
With the upper floors of the Central Tower destroyed, moonlight streamed in, bathing Goliath in its glow.
“I was merely watching. Watching to see who was more right for this city…!”
“I see… I suppose that makes sense. You were always an unpredictable bomb.”
Se-Ah’s eyes slowly opened, revealing her unsettling red pupils.
“So? It seems you’ve made your judgment.”
She tilted her head and pointed her fingers at her face, flashing a mischievous smile.
“Are you going to say that I’m wrong? You don’t even know what kind of world I plan to create.”
“You.”
Goliath smirked and pointed his finger at Se-Ah.
“You’re a rotten piece of trash.”
For a moment, a crack appeared in Se-Ah’s smiling facade, but she quickly regained her composure and forced a sly smile.
“Well, I suppose there’s no helping it. I’ve always found you sooo irritating… Let’s settle this here and now…. Huh?”
Then, something incredible happened.
Woo-jin, who had fallen, suddenly grabbed the Iron Dragon Staff and struggled to his feet.
He lowered his head.
He staggered momentarily from his weakened state, but soon steadied himself.
Woo-jin stood fully on his two feet.
Se-Ah’s eyes widened in shock.
“How… how is this possible? Senior…?”
Woo-jin raised his head.
His eyes were shadowed.
His turquoise eyes glared coldly at Se-Ah.
