    Chapter 107.2

    (Continued)

The Spartoi fell to the ground, battered and scorched without a chance to even scream.

Smoke rose from their charred bodies, and the faint scent of burning flesh lingered in the air.

However, for these new humans, especially ones as strong as the Spartoi, this wasn’t a fatal injury. At worst, they would be incapacitated for several days.

Unless they were the homicidal type like the Spartoi Woo-jin had encountered in prison, Woo-jin didn’t want to push things to the extreme. He had the power to hold back when needed.

    “Ugh…”

One Spartoi was attacked with just enough force to keep him conscious. Woo-jin approached and took the magic measurement device attached to the soldier’s belt.

It was a device that could also function as a communicator, similar to a smartphone.

“So this is it. The thing measuring my magic and transmitting it to the magic detectors.”

    “What… What are you planning…?”

The Spartoi asked in a voice laced with blood, and Woo-jin let his magic flow into the device. Beep. Woo-jin’s magic information was registered.

Without hesitation, Woo-jin pressed the transmit button.

    “What…!?”

The Spartoi’s eyes widened in shock.

“You… What are you doing!? By sending that data, the Martial Law Guard now has all your magic information. There’s nowhere left for you to hide… Are you out of your mind, sealing your own fate!?”

This was good news for the Spartoi, but the situation was incomprehensible.

From now on, no matter where Woo-jin fled or hid, Neo Seoul would be able to track him down easily and strike.

    “Well, who knows?”

Just then, the communicator activated. Woo-jin glanced at it.

─ …Disciplinary Committee Leader of Ahsung High School.

A cold voice that could freeze the air.

    Woo-jin recognized that voice.

─ Is it you who sent this magic information?

Given that the other party was also at the 7th Tier, they could roughly gauge how quickly magic recovery would occur and had likely guessed what was happening.

It seemed they were skeptical that this Spartoi squad would succeed in their mission.

A slight smile crept across Woo-jin’s cold expression.

The biggest reason he needed to recover his magic was now on the other end of this call.

“Seo Gang-jin, right? Number one among the Spartoi. Code name ‘White,’ isn’t it?”

An individual reputed to be the second strongest in the city after Goliath.

    The Head Principal’s greatest enforcer.

    The strongest among the Spartoi.

    Seo Gang-jin.

He paused for a moment upon hearing Woo-jin’s voice.

    ─ …You know who I am.

It was surprising for Woo-jin to be privy to such classified information.

Gang-jin’s voice even carried a trace of admiration.

“You seem to have a grasp of the situation and contacted me first, is that right?”

    ─ …….

“Take it that way. I’m not hiding anymore. There’s no need for that now…”

A distinct rage surged within him.

    Woo-jin bared his teeth, growling.

A face twisted like a beast on the verge of attack.

The Spartoi felt as if a growling animal’s presence filled the air, sending chills crawling down their spines.

    ‘Goliath…?’

It was reminiscent of the overwhelming pressure that would spread whenever Goliath appeared.

    Then, Woo-jin made his declaration.

“From now on, I’m going to bring down the Head Principal.”

    A declaration of war.

The Spartoi’s eyes widened in shock.

“I’ll destroy anything that gets in my way, even if it’s this entire Academy City. Stop me if you can.”

    Clear rage and hostility.

There was a disdainful sigh from Gang-jin.

─ Then you’ll learn firsthand what your arrogance brings upon you. And… there will be no courtesy for a mere criminal. Whatever happens to you will be well deserved. The price for defying Neo Seoul’s order will not be light.

He meant that he would kill him as painfully as possible.

Woo-jin recalled the mind map he saw at Oh Baek-seo’s house. To her, Gang-jin was like a landmine among the strong.

He also remembered the doctor’s opinion after rescuing Baek-seo during the Moon Chae-won subjugation incident; she had numerous traces of frostbite.

To Baek-seo, Gang-jin was the only person among the Spartoi capable of seriously injuring her and causing frostbite.

After all, he was the Head Principal’s most loyal lackey, diligently carrying out her orders.

    It was all the better.

Woo-jin felt a strong desire to punch Gang-jin’s face.

    “The same goes for you.”

    ─ What?

“Whatever happens to you, consider it your own fault.”

Before Gang-jin could respond, Woo-jin tightly grasped the measurement device.

    Crack!

The device shattered, scattering fragments across the ground. The Spartoi’s widened eyes took in the scene.

    Thud!!

Woo-jin’s kick crushed the Spartoi’s head, delivering a heavy blow. The Spartoi’s face crumpled, and he lost consciousness.

Woo-jin walked away, his expression cold.

    By then, dusk had settled.
