    Chapter 62.1

Chapter 62 – Rule 23. The Leader Must Always Be Prepared for an Enemy Attack (2)

    The Six Sinners.

Also known as the Six Criminals.

They are the worst terrorists who repeatedly commit large-scale crimes, making their capture difficult.

    Starting with the strongest, Goliath.

    – Goblin ‘Kim Dalbi’
    – Necromancer ‘Han Seo-jin’
    – Technomancer ‘Moon Chae-won’
    – The Gluttonous Twins ‘Hong Kyu’ and ‘Hong Bin’

Among them, the weakest is Han Seo-jin, and Moon Chae-won is stronger than Han Seo-jin, but there is a significant gap between them.

    Jingle.

8th floor of the shopping mall.

When I opened the door to the pizza place, a clear sound from a bell rang. It was the place I came to after hearing through the communicator.

There was someone conspicuously noticeable at the window seat.

A woman wearing sunglasses eating pizza.

Her wavy, ash-brown hair was especially noticeable.

Two robots stood guard around her.

    “Hi.”

The woman saw me, pushed her sunglasses up onto her forehead, and greeted me. The unmistakable face of a villain was revealed.

She still had a piece of pizza in her hand.

“Come on, sit, sit. Join me. The pizza here is quite good!”

    One of the Six Sinners.

    Moon Chae-won.

    Nickname, Technomancer.

Technomancer was a term coined to describe a mage who uses both technology and magic. It was an appropriate name considering the abilities she used.

Of course, such nicknames were created to identify major criminals. Saying them out loud was cringe-worthy.

I sat across from Moon Chae-won and placed my shopping bag beside me. Chae-won’s gaze stayed on my shopping bag.

“Were you planning to have pork belly and cold noodles?”

    Chae-won chuckled.

“I don’t understand why people like that stuff.”

I had a lot to say, but I decided to go along with the conversation for now.

    “…What do you like?”

“Me? Pizza or cheeseburgers? I like cheese.”

    “Greasy taste.”

    “Yeah, I’m like that.”

When Chae-won took another bite of pizza, the cheese stretched out.

“Ah. Do you know what could happen if you call someone here? Not that you can anyway.”

Chae-won’s lips curved into a leisurely smile.

In this mall, everything generating signals was under her control.

The disciplinary committee call device I always carried wasn’t working either because Chae-won was jamming the signals.

    It didn’t matter, though.

I had anticipated and prepared for this. For now, I decided to stall for time. Chae-won seemed relaxed, so it should be easy.

“You’re staging quite a hostage situation. As expected of a terrorist.”

    “Thanks for the compliment.”

Chae-won had taken the mall hostage.

With her abilities, she could easily destroy a mall like this.

    I silently watched Chae-won.

As the conversation died down, Chae-won put a piece of broccoli in her mouth and played with it using her tongue, looking at me with a meaningful smile. Her playful tongue movements made me frown.

    “You eat disgustingly.”

Chae-won swallowed the broccoli and picked up another slice of pizza.

“I’m bored. You look like someone who’d get bored of relationships quickly?”

    “You’re not much different.”

    “Why?”

    “Your flippant attitude is annoying.”

“I don’t think that’s a fitting expression for someone as classy as me.”

Chae-won flicked her voluminous hair and clicked her tongue.

“This isn’t going to work. We don’t get along.”

She crossed her index fingers into an X.

    “It’s not like a matchmaking date….”

Was this a 0 confession 1 rejection or what?

Ignoring her, I picked up a slice of pizza and ate it.

    It was quite delicious.

    “How is it? Tasty?”

Chae-won asked, seemingly waiting for me to respond.

“I already knew it was good.”

“I was completely surprised. I pride myself on having tried most pizza places. I thought this place was popular because the mall gets a lot of visitors, but… it’s unexpectedly good!”
    “Glad you rate it highly.”

While eating the pizza, I asked,

“So why has a criminal come to find me?”

“Nothing much, just something to talk to you about. I don’t hold any grudge against the disciplinary committee.”

Chae-won licked the pizza seasoning off her fingers.

“Understand that I had to resort to coercive measures. I have my reasons.”

    “Someone wants me, I see.”

“Does being the disciplinary committee leader make you feel like a celebrity? I said I have my reasons, and you jump to conclusions.”

“You’ll understand if you become the disciplinary committee leader.”

Unexpectedly, being the disciplinary committee leader made many people want me. The problem was that they were all vile scumbags.

    “Hmm?”

Chae-won placed her clean thumb on her lips and smiled suggestively.

Thinking about Kim Dalbi, it was easy to figure out why one of the Six Sinners would come looking for me.

The Head Principal must have started moving.
