The silver-haired handsome man, Ricardo, swung his sword fiercely. The target of the attack was only trying to block it and ran around here and there. Taking advantage of the opening that appeared, Ricardo kicked the man’s leg.

Ricardo’s sword immediately touched the neck of the man who lost his balance and fell. The man did not dare to move and only looked at Ricardo with eyes filled with fear.

“You don’t use any strange powers. You’re just a normal 1st class.”

“Wh, what? Why are you suddenly like this? Ricardo. I don’t know anything..”

“It’s you guys. The ones causing chaos in the Academy right now… I sense the same magic from you.”

Ricardo cut off the man’s head in one breath without waiting for an answer. The man must have been unaware of his own death until the moment he died. His wide-open eyes were filled with only questions rather than fear.

Sighing, Ricardo searched the man’s pockets. Something hard touched Ricardo’s hand. As expected, Ricardo took it out.

A strange object with all sides made of triangles. It was the same shape as several of the objects Ricardo had dealt with so far, but while some of them were like ordinary toys, others absorbed the blood and corpses around them.

Ricardo threw it into the air and swung his sword, which was charged with magical power, to cut it down. It was an object with strength that surpassed common sense for a simple toy, so it could not be broken by an ordinary means.

Ricardo felt uneasy as he watched it disappear without a trace. The unidentified group that instigated the riot under the pretext of maintaining balance in the Academy, and the unidentified mastermind who must have been controlling it from behind the scenes.

And the strange, common mana felt by the members of the group, and even an unidentifiable object. Something flashed through Ricardo’s mind, but he shook his head.

Now was not the time. It was time to move quickly and minimize damage. Ricardo put his sword away and began to trace the magical power again.

I neatly cut the wrist of the man who was rushing towards me and kicked him away before blood could spurt out. As the man flies away and flails his arms, blood spurts out, so I back away slightly, and luckily I was able to avoid it cleanly.

    “Mi.. crazy bitch..”

“Weren’t you the one who drew your sword and attacked first?”

I approached the trembling opponent, holding a knife. I was just responding because he started a fight with us as we were just walking along, but why was he talking as if he was the victim?

I tried to let him off easy since he didn’t seem to have any intention of attacking first, but the moment he dared to swear at me, I lost all desire to show him such mercy.

As I walked along, I lightly blocked the horizontal slash that came flying at me reflexively, then swung my left arm and punched the source of the disaster, the mouth.

The man rolled off the ground like a water sparrow after being hit. The punch definitely felt like it broke a few teeth. I hope he uses this pain as an opportunity to live a more reflective life.

“Yugram, this is a dud too. Where the hell is the mastermind.. Next is over there! Is that right?”

    “Yes.”

“I’m finally getting used to it. I’m still a bit clumsy at tracking though…”

When I asked Yugram to tell me what information he knew, he quickly moved his feet and swung his sword at every student he encountered, and I heard a look of disbelief on his face as if he was tracking magical power.

What was it that Yugram took out of his pocket? A Giren? It was something that that guy had, and he said that he was continuing to track the magical power that he felt there.

No, such an easy method! I was amazed and immediately tried to follow the method, but unfortunately, because my skill level was low, my success rate was very low. After failing over and over again, I am finally getting the hang of it.

I walked slowly along the magic and surprisingly there were already passengers there.

The silver-haired man was cutting the neck of a female student. He kills an academy student without much hesitation. It’s not really something I should be concerned about.

“It was Reinhardt, right? Are you also… tracking this magic?”

“Yeah. You’re Leah from the advanced class, right? That’s good. I’m not the only one who’s doing this… I was worried that the damage would be severe. ”

Reinhardt rummaged through the woman’s pockets, took something out, and crushed it. Then, the magical power he had felt just a moment ago disappeared as if it had been washed away. That was the source of the magical power?

“These guys, they seem to be using some kind of strange power.. I know you’ve fought them a few times already, but be careful. You plan on continuing to track them, right?”

    “Thank you for your concern.”

I nodded slightly. As Reinhardt said, there were times when students who were just ordinary lower-class nobles would attack with attacks that did not match their magical power. Swords that were strangely enhanced to have excellent cutting power, or excellent physical enhancements, etc.. But it was not enough to do anything to me or Yugram, so I never got injured.

    “Let’s go this way.”

“Okay. Then I’ll go this way. It’ll be more efficient to spread out and go around.”

Reinhardt pointed in a direction quite a bit away from the one I was pointing at, then smiled.

“Oh, and… my name is Ricardo, not Reinhard.”

    “..Excuse me, Ricardo.”

I bowed my head even more than before and quickly left the place.

“..again, my magic power has decreased again. What the heck?”

The man paced around the room anxiously. As he was in charge of the great undertaking, he could not tolerate any failure.

“What? Why? Is it because the trash are incompetent?”

The man continued to mutter to himself in the empty room. It seemed as if he was doing this to relieve his own anxiety. Unable to control his anger, the man kicked a chair in the room.

“Yeah. Was it a problem to try to use these trash kids? This is crazy. How could I make this mistake? That’s wrong. I’m crazy.”

    The man continued to mutter.

If it was as the man had thought, the magical power should have gathered at a much faster rate. If the lower-ranking nobles had powers that were beyond their capabilities, they would immediately swing them around like fools and take revenge for the feelings they had felt, but why on earth?

“Are there not enough guys who have figured out how to use their power? No. No matter what, that doesn’t make sense. They were hunted. Who dared interfere with the work of the church!”

The man slammed the table down with a thunderous roar. The table, which seemed to be made of fairly solid wood, shattered with a crash and great ease.

“Who the hell? How? Are there really that few people who have mastered the power? It would be hard to stop them with just a 2nd-grade fighter.. Are you saying that they are just trash who are not even that good?”

The man continued to walk around the room, biting his fingernails. His head continued to spin as he moved. He had to make a decision.

Retreat, that was what the man had chosen. Since the man’s plan had been disrupted by some variable, for the sake of the greater good, it was best to first retreat.

The man who was trying to run away suddenly stopped moving. No, but… what if that’s not it? What if there’s something that’s not just some second-class… in this academy?

If that were true… and in some cases, it could be considered a huge harvest, something to the extent that the man’s plan would succeed.

The man immediately took out a piece of paper and frantically stroked his pen. It was written in a special code, which meant that even if someone intercepted the document, its contents would not be easily deciphered.

The man quickly finished writing, folded the paper neatly, and put it in a specially treated envelope. When the man bit his finger and let the blood drip onto the envelope, surprisingly, the envelope turned into a small rat, and the man put it into the rat hole. The rat disappeared somewhere right away.

Fortunately, the man let out a deep sigh. Even if he died without being able to leave this academy, or even if his plan failed, he would have done the bare minimum for the school.

The man, Johnny, left the room straight away. Since he had nothing to take with him, Johnny slowly climbed the stairs to the ground. When Johnny came out of the door on the floor, closed the door, and camouflaged himself, there was no way to tell that there was a door there.

Johnny neatly adjusted his clothes in the dark storage room so that if anyone found him, he wouldn’t look strange.

Johnny came out of a warehouse in a corner of the shopping district and looked around. It seemed like there was no one there since it was a place with little traffic. The moment Johnny quietly came out and was about to head somewhere, someone blocked his way.

There had been no one there just a moment ago, but the one who stopped Johnny was a girl who was quite famous at the Academy. She was the girl who always wore a mask that covered half of her face, and she was commonly called the Masked Princess.

    “Excuse me, what’s going on?”

Johnny said to the girl with a faint smile on his lips, as if he was trying to ignore her. Let’s wait for a chance and run away. Or let’s fool her. That was Johnny’s judgment, and it was wrong.

The girl’s figure swayed as if she were a squirrel. Of course, it was an illusion, the girl had already passed Johnny and was behind him. Why? For a moment, Johnny couldn’t keep his balance and staggered. His right foot didn’t move. No, to be exact, only below his ankle.

Johnny’s right ankle was cleanly severed.

    “..It’s you! You crazy bitch!”

A terrible pain tormented Johnny, but an even greater anger moved his body. Johnny immediately drew up his magical power. With that power, he would kill the enemy who had interfered with his great undertaking!

Johnny clapped his hands together, but nothing happened. Why? Johnny’s world began to slow down dramatically. The girl was already swinging her sword at him again, and the trajectory was definitely his neck. It was impossible to dodge.

Even in the face of death, Johnny thought about what had just happened. The magic was working properly. However, the moment it aimed at the girl in front of him, the magic disappeared on its own.

    Why on earth?

    No, I understand.

    thank god.

My report was not in vain.

Looking at the blade that was drawing near, Johnny accepted death with satisfaction.

His head flew into the sky.
