Main Building of Future Special School

The student bulletin board in the hallway, which was passed by students from 1st to 3rd grade, was filled with things that were not originally intended to be there.

A flesh-colored bra and panty set, a black bra and panty set.

And there was a particularly eye-catching underwear set – an ivory-colored bra with slightly darker flesh-colored panties, and even a thick padding set, which attracted more attention than the sets on either side.

    *Rustle rustle*

Even though it was clearly during class time, many students were gathered around, looking at the board. Some were surprised, while others chuckled.

“Hey, what’s that? Are those the seniors from the 3rd grade?”

“Could it be? The underwear even has the student’s name and class written on it.”

Just like one student mentioned, the underwear had the student’s grade, class, and name written on it, blatantly showing whose underwear it was.

“Wow, Seungha’s group was trying to step on Yeji, but they got stepped on instead? That’s hilarious, seriously.”

“Hey, but didn’t we all know this was going to happen? How could they beat Yeji and that monster-like girl?”

This time, it seemed like students from the same 3rd grade knew the owner of the underwear and engaged in conversation.

“So~ what’s up with Seungha’s underwear? Wasn’t she the type to wear mismatched bras and panties without caring about the colors? Haha”

    “And what’s with that padding? If I wear that, I’ll become a D cup, won’t I??”

“Stop joking, if I wear it, I’ll be an F cup haha”

Surprisingly, the students’ conversation continued as if this was a normal occurrence, with no sense of surprise.

There was also a notice on the board that read:

‘While these underwear are displayed, the wearers are prohibited from wearing underwear.’

“Hey, Seungha got embarrassed, how is she going to go to school now? Haha, she used to act all high and mighty, but now she’ll be walking around with no panties or bra, we should go see that haha”

“Well, she’ll just have to suck it up and go. But hey, doesn’t it look like there’s a stain on those panties? Doesn’t it smell?”

“Yeah, it kind of smells fishy. Let’s go check out Seungha’s double trouble.”

Even as the students dispersed to go about their own business, the space in front of the bulletin board was immediately filled with other students, and there was no room to move.

    *Sigh*

Seemingly bored during class, Yeji let out a long yawn and then looked at the blackboard. Arin was using her big chest as a cushion and sleeping.

Although it was technically class time, not many students were actually paying attention. Some were sleeping or doing other things quietly, while others were talking to each other, whether the teacher noticed or not. However, both the teacher and students didn’t seem to pay much attention to this scene.

This class was relatively quiet because Yeji was there. She didn’t like noisy things, and she had a certain level of enthusiasm for studying, so the class time was spent quietly.

While not comparable to a regular special school, having Yeji, who was the top student in the school, in the class helped maintain a good atmosphere. Teachers often felt grateful to Yeji for this.

One student who was watching Yeji yawn from the side poked her in the side and said, “Baek Yeji, did you do something again?”

“Huh? What do you mean by that…”

Yeji casually replied, glaring at the student who poked her, and continued, “Hey Cheon Hye-hyun, didn’t I tell you not to poke me in the side? Who said I don’t like people touching me?”

The student next to her, Hye-hyun, looked apologetic and quickly withdrew her hand, apologizing, “Oh, sorry, I didn’t realize I did it again… I’ll be more careful next time~”

Beshi smiled and took a step back. As a friend who had known Yeji since childhood, she knew that this action was deliberately done to assert her minimal rebellious spirit against Yeji, who she knew she could never win a fight against.

“By the way, Yeji, how is your dad doing? It’s been almost two years since we visited before entering the special school, right?”

While Beshi kindly inquired about her well-being, Yeji responded curtly with a cold expression.

“Do I have to report that to you? Ask your dad if you’re so curious.”

    “W-well, I guess so.”

    ‘What a jerk.’

Except for Yeji, no one else could speak to her in such a manner… well, except for Ayeon, who was as big-headed as a cow. Honestly, Ayeon was so intimidating that no one dared to mess with her.

    ‘But it’s a shame that it’s me…’

Yeji’s father was the CEO of K Construction, a subsidiary of K Group, the top conglomerate in the country. He held the most powerful voice and authority within the K Group’s affiliates. Back when K Group was still a mid-sized company, he rapidly expanded K Construction with his exceptional abilities, using its profits to smoothly steer other businesses onto the right track.

Although he could have comfortably sat in his office chair and simply reviewed approval documents, he still adhered to the principle of being on-site, making him the epitome of a workaholic. Naturally, he was highly regarded as the most likely candidate for the next chairman of K Group.

Having successfully secured a large project worth a total of one trillion won in India two years ago, he was currently on a business trip in India overseeing the project. Yeji’s mother also worked as an executive at K Construction and was assisting her father in India.

Having pursued her passion for sports from a young age and receiving top-notch tutoring, she had already mastered the special school curriculum, which naturally led to her outstanding academic performance.

While most students chose unemployment because they disliked studying or wanted to live freely, Yeji was different. She understood the importance of a career through her parents and aimed to enter a top-tier university to achieve that goal.

With the declining birth rate, admission to prestigious universities was no longer as difficult as before. Just ten years ago, a score that could barely get you into the lowest-ranked university in Seoul was now enough to aim for the mid-tier universities. Despite the unchanged university quotas, the decrease in the number of students had created a peculiar phenomenon.

Although many students were pleased that they could enter good universities without studying much, the reality was not so rosy.

HR managers were well aware of the current graduates’ standards and, since layoffs were made from the top down anyway, competition was still fierce.

In this day and age, unless you graduated from medical schools like Seoul National University Medical School, Korean Medicine, or Dentistry, you had to graduate from top universities like SKY or POSTECH to enter a large corporation.

Employment policies had also changed significantly, requiring at least 40% of students from the unemployed sector to be admitted to all universities.

Yeji had aimed for that point precisely. Of course, there were other students who targeted the system for admission to the unemployed sector, but they couldn’t withstand the cutthroat world of competition and either transferred to regular special schools or couldn’t match Yeji’s academic level, who had been receiving tutoring since childhood.

Hyehyun’s father, Cheon Seong-gi, was also an employee of K Construction, and he joined the company at the same time as Yeji’s father, Baek Han-soo. At one point, he had a crush on Yeji’s mother, Go Eun-bi, but she chose Baek Han-soo and got married to him. Cheon Seong-gi then married Kim Ji-hye, another employee at K Construction.

At first, the four of them were all employees of the same company, so they often held couple gatherings to strengthen their friendship. However, as Baek Hansu and his wife quickly rose through the ranks due to their abilities, cracks began to form in the relationship between the two couples. Even though they continued to hold gatherings, it was no longer an equal gathering as they now had to respect their superior, Baek Hansu, who was both a friend and a boss. They found themselves in a position where they had to constantly ask for favors from Baek Hansu in terms of evaluations, assignments, and promotions.

Coincidentally, both couples gave birth to Baek Yeji and Cheon Hye Hyun in the same year. Cheon Sung Ki, in order to gain future benefits, pushed Hye Hyun to be close to Yeji from a young age, making them participate in activities such as sports, tutoring, and kindergarten.

Although Baek Hansu could clearly see Sung Ki’s ulterior motives, he decided not to directly intervene in the children’s relationship. However, from that moment on, Sung Ki became even more dismissive of Baek Hansu.

Yeji, influenced by her father’s behavior, also began to ignore Hye Hyun from a young age and position herself above her. Perhaps one of the reasons for her confidence, having never lost in any competition with Hye Hyun, was due to her disregard for her.

Sung Ki endured humiliation and bowed down to Baek Hansu, but she was no match for Kim Ji Hye. Just the fact that her husband, Sung Ki, had feelings for Go Eun Bi was enough to be a constant source of conflict in their marriage. Having to work alongside the person who was the cause of their ongoing marital problems at the company made her feel a great sense of humiliation.

When their company junior, Go Eun Bi, was promoted all the way up to team leader, department head, and director under Baek Hansu’s wing, it felt like she had made a mistake in choosing her husband. Go Eun Bi also felt that Sung Ki and Sung Ki’s wife were insincere, and she felt like they were being petty and causing unnecessary trouble.

Unbeknownst to them, the sense of humiliation among women was likely much stronger than that among men.

In such an atmosphere, Hye Hyun couldn’t help but resent Yeji, but she had to maintain a friendly relationship for practical reasons. Fighting was secondary, as there was a risk of both parents becoming unemployed at the same time.

Hye Hyun, who still smiled at Yeji despite her disrespectful behavior, was silently swallowing her anger.
