Chapter Index

    Episode 9.

“What are you saying about me, father?”

Fehat’s dry eyes gazed quietly at my face. The eyes are still full of fear.

“Are you blaming me…? As I said last time… So I did this…”

Fehat may be a moron, but he is not an idiot. A strange incident that occurred immediately after hearing that he had been eliminated from the line of succession to the throne. It is natural for people to think of me as a criminal.

But I answered with an innocent smile as if I knew nothing.

“Father too… I don’t know what you’re talking about. However, I would like you to cancel the bridal class. How dangerous would this country be if I couldn’t participate in state affairs while my father was so weak?”

Fehat was surprised and was looking at me with eyes as big as his fists.

Because those were not the words of the Princess Sera he knew.

Sarah Lustier, the first princess. In the novel, she was literally the embodiment of passivity, dragged along by every situation around her.

An angel-like princess who always smiles kindly and never says a word of dislike. Especially when it comes to the king’s words, he never takes no for an answer. Even if it is a ruinous order caused by Carmel’s instigation.

It could be said that the reason she ended up falling into Carmel’s clutches and ending up in such a miserable state was partly due to her own personality.

For the first time, my daughter rejected her will, and the way she expressed that rejection was by giving her poison. The shock that Fehat received would not have been small.

“Sera, Sera… Don’t be silly! You did it all, didn’t you…!”

My hands are shaking as I hold the sheet tightly. Fehat was afraid now.

His fear was not due to the fact that he could have lost his life from the poison.

King Fehat holds the highest position in the country. He is a man who is extremely afraid of being abandoned by the person he loves.

In the novel, Carmel took advantage of Fehat’s weakness to the extreme. Even though he knew that he was causing his daughter’s miserable downfall and that he himself was heading down the path of destruction, he could not reject Carmel’s words.

They are truly a frustrating father and daughter. Well, if the two people in the novel had been more upright, it would not have established itself as a genre called “waste.”

So in a sense, this is karma.

Karma for aiding and even assisting in the downfall of Princess Sera in the original novel.

As Princess Sera, it would be fully justified for me to repay the same to Fehat, who gave strength to Carmel’s evil intentions.

I sighed and confessed to the crime.

“Ha, that’s right, father. I did it. That Sarah put black poison in your father’s bottle.”

I was almost certain, but when I actually heard it, the shock seemed to be more than that. Fehat’s stony face looked like a dry tree.

“Did you… plan to kill me?”

“No, no way. I never had such scary thoughts. As proof of that, you are alive and well, right? I just wanted you to learn a lesson.”

    Fehat looked truly foolish.

    “Lesson…?”

“Yes. Whether it was the wedding-related agenda at the regular meeting or the intention to discard me, who had been by my father’s side so sincerely, my father’s judgment that day was so clouded. The reason, of course… is because of Carmel.”

    “…….”

Fehat seemed to be feeling belated shame. As the king of a country and the father of a child, how does it feel to be criticized for playing around with women and making a mistake in judgment? And that too to no one else but my daughter.

“…But then you do such a scary thing…”

“But your father actually didn’t listen to Zbaka’s advice at all, right? It probably wouldn’t have made any difference no matter what anyone said.”

    “That’s…”

Looking at Fehat’s expression, which was like that of a child being punished, I was certain that I had brought about the flow of conversation.

Fehat’s way of thinking and personality are all as seen in the novel and as expected.

I think it’s okay to keep the coup plan in place just in case.

I said, lightly placing my hand on Fehat’s hand.

“Father, I will not oppose your marriage to Carmel. But it would be better to keep some distance from him. This is my advice as a princess, a daughter, and a Lustier.”

    “Mmm…”

Fehat closed his eyes and let out a sigh filled with deep anguish. Of course, I don’t expect that this will change people instantly. However, if it works properly, it may be able to delay the breakdown to some extent.

Fehat closed his eyes and made a painful expression for a moment, then opened his eyes. And he spoke weakly.

“I understand, Sarah… I will leave this matter to the public and do as you say… What should I do?”

“You thought well, father. First of all…”

I smiled softly and squeezed Fehat’s hand.

    * * *

    ‘Phew, somehow it worked out.’

As I left Fehat’s bedroom, I felt dizzy as all my tension was released.

It could have been a dangerous situation.

Rather than reflecting on his actions, Fehat could have been so enraged that I tried to kill him that he tried to execute me.

Of course, that is behavior that does not suit the character Fehat in the novel at all, but even if we are the same person, we can go back and forth between heaven and hell depending on our mood.

If that were the case… I would have had to cross a really dangerous bridge.

They would have had to fight an all-out political war with Fehat based on all the stakes and reputation within the palace and the information in the novel. Of course, even if that were the case, I had no intention of losing.

But I don’t want to be queen.

If that was the case, they would have really poisoned Fehat. The current legitimate heir to the throne is me. As long as Fehat disappears, I will continue to inherit the throne.

The reason I didn’t kill Fehat wasn’t just because it was immoral from Princess Sera’s perspective.

    The problem is Carmel.

If Fehat dies before the wedding ceremony is held yet, Carmel will have no reason to remain in Lustier.

Even if I were crowned queen, I would not be able to take Carmel, the same woman, as my partner.

In order to keep Carmel by my side, I had no choice but to adopt a relationship as stepmother and daughter.

Therefore, although it was accompanied by considerable risk… it can be said to be successful enough.

By putting pressure on Fehat, there is more room for intervention in future state affairs, and for the time being, they will not play by Carmel’s tricks.

    furthermore…

I remembered Carmel’s naked body that I saw last night.

A pure white naked body radiating anger and shame all over its body. Symbols as females placed on it.

Even thinking back on it, it was an ecstatic experience. This alone can be said to be a large enough harvest.

Of course, I have no intention of being satisfied here.

I had no intention of stopping even for a moment until the light of obedience appeared in Carmel’s rebellious eyes.

The extreme shame and humiliation beyond now. How does Carmel make me happy?

When I think of that, a smile automatically comes to my face.

A fishy smile soaked in deep oil fever.

    The next morning.

Fehat, who had been lying in a hospital bed until yesterday, was attending the meeting despite his subjects’ dissuasion. I’m probably the only one here who knows the inside story of his expression that looks like he’s been hit by a storm.

Carmel is not here. In fact, the fact that Carmel, who did not even have a position, was in this position could be said to be a special exception. You could say this is a part that shows Fehat’s determination.

“Then, we will begin today’s regular meeting. First of all, it’s about Jim’s wedding ceremony… Zbaka.”

    “Yes, yes…”

Zbaka’s attitude was very depressed compared to the first day. Probably on the day I went out to inspect, the whole wedding ceremony thing broke up here.

“I will leave this matter to Princess Sera. Zbaka, discuss with the princess and prepare well.”

    “Yes? Ah, yes!”

Zbaka looked at the king and then at me with a surprised face. His expression brightened, perhaps because he was relieved to see the change in the king’s appearance. I smiled at him and nodded.

Since then, various agendas have come up and down. Fehat broke away from his previous nerd-like appearance and showed quite a bit of common sense. If he hadn’t met Carmel, he would have made a name for himself as a decent monarch.

After the regular meeting, I met with Zbaka separately and discussed the wedding ceremony.

“So you are saying that the ceremony should be held in the traditional way. What size would you like? As expected, it is somewhat smaller than that of the former queen…”

While saying that, Zbaka glanced at me. I smiled lightly and shook my head.

“No, it doesn’t matter if it’s more vocal. Because your happiness comes first.”

“Hmm, you are a princess after all. I’ll stop being rude… I understand. Next is the costume… Should we leave this to the Sellers family as is tradition? I think Carmel’s opinion is important in this part…”

    It’s a costume…

The moment I thought of Carmel in a pure white dress, a wonderful idea crossed my mind.

“Hmm… I’ll ask Carmel directly about that. Let’s proceed with the other parts first.”

“Oh, the princess herself… It looks like you two have become close. Then please, princess.”

I nodded gracefully at Zbaka’s words. After that, while going through various discussions, the only thing on my mind was Carmel’s outfit.

To match that exquisite body… the outfit shouldn’t be ordinary either.
