Chapter Index

The clear and sunny sky suddenly turned dark.

It wasn’t due to a solar eclipse. It was simply an enormous amount of black mana that covered the sky like a fog, seizing control of the surrounding space.

And it didn’t stop there. From the sky, a sticky and unpleasant black liquid began to flow down like rain, dyeing everything around in black.

Moreover, every living being touched by the flowing black liquid withered away.

    “I will purify it!”

Isabel, upon seeing the life force of all living beings being drained, closed her eyes and prayed.

Helena, in order to protect Isabel, used her mana to create a huge magical barrier that covered both Emily and Isabel.

The magical barrier that enveloped them like a dome was solidly constructed, making it sturdy enough to block anything that came their way.

    “This can’t be happening…!”

Initially, it blocked the black rain, but soon the black rain started penetrating the mana barrier as if it were acidic.

In the end, the black rain completely ignored the barrier and reached Helena, Isabel, and Emily.

As soon as the black rain touched them, they groaned.

The sensation of all their strength draining away.

Not just their physical strength being taken, but the feeling of their entire foundation being stripped away sent chills down their spines.

    “We’re ready! Let’s go!”

As Saint Isabel finished her prayer right on time, a dazzling light burst forth from her center.

As if the world had already perished, the buildings, trees, flowers, ground, everything that was being consumed by the black liquid vanished without being able to overcome the light.

    “Ugh… Ugh… Ugh…”

Saint Isabel gasped for breath as soon as her prayer ended, checking her mana status.

‘It can’t be. My mana is almost completely depleted. How can this mana be so evil that it devours mana like this?’

    “What is this…”

    “The Witch of Death…”

As a result of Saint Isabel’s prayer, the sky brightened again, revealing the devastation that had occurred in that brief moment.

A landscape that looked like a ruined country on desolate land.

Trees and plants had all withered and died as if afflicted by a plague, losing all color.

The ground had all cracked and turned into a land of death like a desert.

The black rain brought death to everyone. Even the buildings of the Estelle family looked dangerously fragile, as if they would crumble with a slight touch.

All of this happened in just a few minutes.

Emily looked at Lily, who stood nobly before her.

Lily, the witch who brought death.

Using her black mana as her specialty, she killed everything that passed by. Nothing could oppose Lily, and all Emily could do was hope that Lily wouldn’t come to where she was.

In order to go back to the past, Lily had collected all the artifacts in the world. In the end, she would leave the artifacts in front of her country when Lily came looking for her.

Because she knew that if she brought Lily into the country to protect these artifacts, the country would be destroyed.

There were attempts to stop Lily as well.

One of the things Lily wanted was the Holy Grail in the Levank country, and everyone had gathered to protect it.

And it was Emily who stood against Lily to protect it.

Receiving all of Saint Isabel’s buffs and equipping all the artifacts in the Levank country, Emily faced off against Lily.

    But she was defeated.

The Levank country disappeared from the map in just one day under Lily’s black rain, and Emily died, pierced through the heart by Lily.

But upon witnessing that scene, Saint Isabel awakened and saved Emily.

Just by walking, she brought death to everything around her, earning her the title of the Death-Bringing Witch.

Such a future Lily was gradually killing those around her, displaying the same expression, gestures, and phenomena as before.

    “Can I stop her?”

Emily thought as she looked at Lily with empty eyes.

The memory of that time still vividly resurfaces.

The Holy Sword that could cut through anything.

It was said to be unbreakable by anything and could not be extinguished by any means.

A strong blade. Sacred light. Isabelle’s blessing. The Holy Sword seemed invincible until meeting Lily.

At first, Emily was amazed by the power of the Holy Sword. With each swing, it cut through the dark space, even making Lily take a step back.

But the light of the Holy Sword did not last long.

The seemingly indestructible Holy Sword was corroded by Lily’s black liquid as if it were an ordinary sword.

In the end, not long after, the Holy Sword broke in Lily’s hand and pierced into my heart.

Just thinking about it makes my heart race.

But the Lily of that time feels even stronger than the Lily now.

    “Is it natural…?”

Lily was said to be a rarity at the age of 8. Moreover, she awakened her mana at the age of 8. The original Lily was supposed to awaken her mana at the age of 12. In other words, she awakened her mana four years earlier than her future self.

Furthermore, the Lily of that time was a dying body. Clearly, her body was deteriorating due to the side effects of drugs, and her eyes were lifeless.

But now, under Amelia’s care, she has a healthier body than her future self, and due to the early mana awakening, she possesses stronger mana than in the future.

In other words, she is stronger than her future self.

    “Sigh…”

Realizing that black rain is not enough, Lily began to show different actions.

Lily’s black mana began to take on a tangible form rather than just covering the sky.

    Like mist, no, smoke.

But that smoke was not just for obscuring vision, of course.

Gradually moving, it moved like a cluster organism.

As Lily slowly raised her hand, she gestured towards us.

At that moment, the smoke that had taken over the surroundings rushed towards us.

And the black rain began to pour again.

Lily’s relentless onslaught. Unable to come up with a way to stop Lily, Helena shouted.

“We have to feed this to Lily!”

Helena threw a small vial she had taken out of her bosom to Emily.

The vial contained a liquor made from Amelia’s saliva.

Made by Lily, exchanged for Helena and Nude Patch.

So far, Helena is the only one with the finished product.

Helena remembered that Lily had tried to take out Amelia’s belongings to calm herself down just before.

However, Lily went into a rampage before completing that action, and the only way to stop Lily’s rampage was something very close to Amelia.

That’s why she handed the beauty drink made from Amelia’s saliva, which she cherished, to Emily.

Now the question is, can Emily feed this to Lily?

    The fight continues.

Isabelle, despite using up all her mana, continued to pray based on her vitality to support Emily and Helena.

Now the surroundings have become desolate beyond corrosion and decay. Despite Isabelle’s prayers, Lily’s mana continued to flow endlessly, corroding the surroundings, and Isabelle realized that she could not handle the entire situation with her mana alone.

In the end, she focused solely on caring for Emily and Helena, disregarding the surrounding situation.

Despite the 3-on-1 situation, Lily’s momentum did not wane, and the wounds of Emily and Helena, who fought to protect Isabelle, began to increase.

As time passed, Isabelle finally sat down.

    “Ha… Ha… Haugh…!”

    “Isabel!”

“Darn it, is that really a human..!?”

Isabel cursed inwardly at the never-ending black rain and smoke pouring down from Lily, even after exhausting all her mana and converting her life force into mana.

Emily tightly gripped Amelia’s beauty pendant in her hand.

She couldn’t get close to Lily.

The closer she got to Lily, the more her body weakened rapidly, unable to reach Lily amidst the black smoke and heavy rain.

“You’re really annoying… I’ll just rip out your heart again.”

    I’ll extract that power

The power to save people once again.

Should I just kill Emily again? I should kill her as cruelly as possible.

    Lily’s hand turned black.

    “That’s…!”

As Emily realized what Lily was about to do, she quickly moved to dodge, but Lily’s hand passed through Emily’s shoulder.

    -Swish.

    “Emily!!!”

    “Ugh…!!!?”

Emily quickly used magic to cauterize her severed arm, then swiftly applied pressure to stop the bleeding.

Isabel had already retreated, so there was no hope of support now.

Moreover, the attack just now caused Amelia’s beauty pendant to fall to the ground.

    “I was too hasty…”

Lily had returned stronger than before, but Emily was much weaker than she was at that time.

She had left the Holy Sword in her homeland, along with many other artifacts.

She hadn’t expected this situation to arise.

Just as Lily was about to approach Emily, a voice rang out from behind Lily.

    “Now’s the time!”

A reddish-brown mana burst forth, restraining Lily’s body momentarily, preventing her from breaking free.

Emily picked up her fallen arm from the ground, grabbed Amelia’s beauty pendant, and threw it at Lily.

Lily naturally shattered the vial using her mana-infused smoke, but the beauty pendant inside covered Lily’s face.

And in that moment, Lily’s tongue flicked out, licking the liquid dripping from her face.
