Chapter Index

    ***

I just overslept today. Because it was dark outside, I thought it was still dawn.

But when I looked at the clock, it was already past noon, and there was a ribbon hanging on the tree branch, as if NB had headed to Aaru.

I thought the same day started like that.

I ate the brunch prepared by NB and cleaned the inside of the base.

And when I pulled up the tent for ventilation, there were clouds before my eyes.

A cloud composed of cold silver bodies was slowly approaching this way.

    – Ugh.

And a sound came from the clouds.

An unpleasant and eerie mechanical sound.

The blood dried all over my body, and my heart began to pound.

Yes, this familiar sensation speaks for itself.

    Another crisis has arrived.

I opened the lid of the barrel and scattered it around the base.

The gasoline gave off a bad smell and drenched the entire base.

    – Ugh.

Even as the boy was being swayed around by the horse barrel, which was difficult for his body to control, the mechanical sound made by the drone was getting closer and closer.

    “Please!”

Without knowing who I was praying to, I prayed to the sky.

As if my earnest wish had reached me, I was able to spray all the gasoline in the horse barrel.

I took a matchstick and turned it on.

Then he threw it on the floor without even looking back. We left Base A-11, leaving behind the slowly spreading fire.

Go down the rough stairs and enter the long reed field.

The sounds of machines that were getting closer were now heard far away.

As I tried to break through the strong reeds with my small body, small wounds began to appear on my body.

Blood flowed from a shallow cut, and my knee was bruised when I fell because my leg was loose.

However, it was an insignificant wound, and one of the slightest I’ve gotten while wandering the plane.

    – Ugh.

The sound that was distant is getting closer and closer again.

I raised my small body and ran like crazy.

I ran through the reeds, remembered the map NB showed me, and ran again.

    “Left from here!”

Gradually turn left and head deeper.

The A-32 base, like the A-11 base, is located close to Aaru.

The difference is that the A-32 is in an underground bunker. It is said to be a bunker that NB put a lot of effort into creating.

When you enter the entrance connected to the bunker, you will come across a complicated passageway, and one of the passageways is said to lead to the base.

It is said that other passages were connected to bases inside Aaru, but it is said that the passages became useless after all the bases inside Aaru were destroyed.

    “Gasp…Gasp…”

Out of breath, I paused for a moment and caught my breath.

I ran hard on my short legs, but the entrance to the base was still far away.

Drones seem to have been largely left out, but that doesn’t mean they should just stay here.

This is why Aaru was created in the first place. Everything outside of Aaru is dangerous.

If time passes, I don’t know how the dangers of the wasteland may threaten me.

    “I have to keep going….”

I just can’t find the strength.

I grit my teeth and move my feet. It feels like my lungs are going to burst, but I somehow manage to move my body.

We slowly headed towards the base, and only after a long time did we see the hidden entrance to the base.

Remove the tent that covered the base and unlock the lock. When I opened the door, the musty smell of the basement hit my nose.

Normally I would have been reluctant to go in, but now was no time to choose between cold and hot food.

The moment I took my steps to enter the passage, I heard a voice calling me from far away.

    “Kang In-ho.”

A voice without pitch. It was NB.

    “NB.”

    “You are safe. Thank you.”

NB approached me from afar and kept talking to me. Every time NB moved, the large backpack he was carrying bobbed up and down.

I approached NB with a happy heart,

    “Huh?”

I was able to find a silver machine floating behind the hidden backpack.

It was definitely a drone. How did they fool NB?

NB still didn’t notice and was just approaching me while talking.

    – Clap.

The light on the drone turned red.

I knew right away that it wasn’t a good sign.

    “Damage!!”

I push NB away and stand in the place where NB was.

With a loud sound, my body floats and flies backwards.

    “Kang In-ho!”

NB’s voice was heard. For some reason, it sounded to me like a voice shouting urgently.

Inside the crumbling chapel, two nuns were facing each other.

“There are so many things I want to say.”

A nun who looked like a calm lake spoke, but the nun across from her had no idea how much anger was seething beneath the lake.

“I know. You must be confused.”

“The two who suddenly appeared suddenly disappeared again. Is this also your will?”

When the blonde nun asked, the nun across from her smiled bitterly.

Now you don’t say, ‘Is this God’s will?’

“It is the will of someone higher than me.”

“Then, because of the will of the High One, I cannot go to find the Holy Son? If you were a fellow ‘God’, wouldn’t you be able to do it?”

In response to the nun’s repeated questioning, God, who had descended in human form, only smiled bitterly.

    “Sister Maria.”

“Please leave out the title ‘sister’.”

“…Mortal Maria. Everything I planned through you has come true. Corrupt religion has collapsed, and a new order will now be established in the world.”

    “…….”

“I offer my deepest condolences for having had to endure so much pain according to my will.”

    “…….”

    The blonde nun said nothing.

God knelt down to show respect.

“So now, I hope you can shed the burden placed on you and find your own life. If that’s what you want, I’ll listen positively. If you want a peaceful life, we can give you that.”

“Did you know that I would like it if you made my life like this and now rewarded me as if you were being generous?”

    “Maria… I didn’t mean it that way…”

A great sword fell in front of the explaining god.

    “Maria!!”

As Solari shouted, enraged by the sudden attack, the blonde nun pulled out the great sword from the ground and looked at the Absolute of her world with murky eyes.

“Unless it can be sent to the saint… nothing is worthless.”

Once again the greatsword fell towards the Solari.
