Chapter Index

    ***

    thirsty.

This was Kang In-ho’s thought as he stood on the execution platform.

These cruel religionists did not give him a sip of water.

I try to swallow to soothe my dry throat, but I end up peeing on frozen feet.

He was chained all night and could not sleep properly.

My head feels fuzzy, and my eyelids are droopy.

    “Kill it!!”

    “A devil impersonating a saint!!”

I hear the voices of an angry crowd.

‘I am a saint. for now.’

    In-ho Kang smiled.

In my blurred vision, stones are flying.

Most of the stones did not reach where he was.

Even if he fell to the foot of the execution platform or barely reached it, he would just roll around at his feet.

Still, some of the dogs must have been well-aimed and threw, hitting him hard on his body and head.

Warm blood flowed through my head.

Even though I had been through a lot of pain, that tingling sensation was still something I wanted to avoid.

    “It’s over now.”

    Kang In-ho muttered.

“Yes, it’s your end. It would have been better for both of us if we hadn’t stepped forward unnecessarily.”

The leader of the Holy Knights spoke from the side.

“Because I have a terrible personality… I don’t like being still. I have to give back what was done to me.”

Kang In-ho showed a wry smile.

“You got hit? I probably haven’t done anything wrong to you. Rather, didn’t he allow me to live well as a saint?”

The leader of the Holy Knights asked back.

The saint, who didn’t even have the strength to lift his head, chuckled.

He said, spitting out the blood phlegm boiling inside him onto the floor.

“I put him on a leash for your benefit. Instead, he sold me to make a profit.”

“I don’t understand. I thought it was a mutually beneficial relationship.”

“I don’t want to hear a sermon from a bastard who NTRs other people’s women, so end it quickly.”

At Kang In-ho’s grumpy words, blood spurted out on the Holy Knight leader’s forehead.

Perhaps because his provocation worked, the leader of the Holy Knights calmed the crowd’s uproar and began the execution.

Every time he recited the sins committed by the criminal one by one, the crowd booed loudly.

    “Ha….”

Kang In-ho let out a long sigh, as if exhaling his soul.

    “I was exploited as I should be…”

    It’s a self-deprecating muttering.

“I’m done with acting in clothes that don’t fit.”

He seemed to have run out of affection for his life here, and he felt at ease.

“If it wasn’t for the deal… the Pope would have been removed from the Harvest Festival service.”

There was a feeling of regret in Kang In-ho’s muttering voice.

I struggle to open my eyes, stinging from the flowing blood.

A person wearing a robe can be seen among the waves of the crowd.

Kang In-ho thought he made eye contact with the person in the robe.

And along with the sensation of a cold blade touching my neck, my vision lowered.

Feeling the strange sensation of falling, Kang In-ho laughed.

    With a relieved face.

    ***

As his son-in-law became quiet and the fatigue weighing on his body disappeared, Kang In-ho opened his eyes.

A huge space where nothing exists.

You may find yourself just lying there.

    Kang In-ho touched his neck.

It seemed like the feeling of the blade was still there.

He took steps and moved forward.

Every time he took a step, the sound of his footsteps spread out, creating a waveform.

Kang In-ho walked following the faint light in front of him.

After walking and walking, a bridge made of light appeared and he crossed it without hesitation.

    “You’re here.”

As I crossed the bridge, someone came down the stairs on the other side.

A woman with neat hair and a calm appearance.

    “Yes.”

    he answered.

    -Tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap

“Did it go according to the ‘plan’ you emphasized so much?”

He approached the woman and gestured with his chin.

Kang In-ho didn’t seem to like this situation very much.

“Yes. It ended well without any deviation from causality.”

The woman slightly bowed her head and expressed her gratitude.

“How does it feel to have your head cut off?”

There was no ill will in the woman’s question that followed.

    “It’s like shit. Not good.”

Kang In-ho answered while touching his neck.

“I’m sorry it’s not the death you prefer.”

The woman spoke in a calm tone.

    “Then how did you die?”

    “It was worse than you.”

Kang In-ho laughed at the woman’s words.

“Well, I made it difficult for many people, so I should be punished.”

As the woman frowned, as if remembering the pain of that time, Inho chuckled.

The woman, who was watching In-ho smiling for a while, snapped her fingers and a cup filled with clear water appeared.

Inho took it and drank it. I felt a little thirsty.

    “Huh….”

He wiped the water from his chin and caught his breath.

After the sporadic laughter died down, he looked at the woman in front of him and said,

“I helped you as per the contract. You have to abide by the contract too, right?”

As if to remind me not to forget, he said the word ‘contract’ with emphasis.

The woman nodded at Inho’s words and pointed behind him.

Before he knew it, a comfortable chair was placed behind him.

He sat down as if he was used to it and opened his mouth as he looked at the woman in front of him.

    “So tell me, lumens.”

Kang In-ho took a sip of water in his cup.

After he finished clearing his throat, he corrected his words.

“No, Solari, a level 4 dimensional management god.”

A woman with neat hair and a calm appearance.

The Heretic Inquisitor wearing silver armor.

She also sat down on the chair and faced Inho.

“If I know anything, I will tell you with all my sincerity. Owner of a noble soul, Kang In-ho.”

The woman in front of Inho suddenly spread her white wings wide and showed a calm smile.
