Chapter Index

    ***

A watery voice. She is shaking.

    ‘What did I say?’

Memories of the past me and her.

I don’t know if it was two-way or one-way, but it must have been a precious memory and connection for her.

    That’s why I think she’s desperate.

Because I had to sympathize with something I couldn’t sympathize with, I had no choice but to act.

The purpose is not simply to not provoke her.

No matter how I was before, I wanted to comfort this woman now.

    I just felt that way.

    “Mina.”

I slightly raised my hands and clasped them.

She flinched as if surprised by the sudden skinship, but didn’t pull her hand away or anything.

    “Inho… Mr.?”

“I told you, I’m not going anywhere.”

    “…Really?”

    “Hmm… Actually, I was worried.”

    “Of course it is!”

She tightens her hands. His grip strength is stronger than it looks.

You almost broke your hand in an ugly way.

“You had a lot of dissatisfaction with work life, right? sorry. I should have paid more attention.”

There is a deep sense of self-reproach in her voice.

I said, shaking my head. With a slight smile to put her at ease.

“It’s not like that. Um… this is a bit of a crazy story, but would you listen to it?”

    “…?”

Her eyes widen at the sudden sound.

    How should I explain it?

I will try to explain without being too vain or too succinct.

After explaining my condition for 30 minutes, she seemed to have a general understanding.

Of course, I left out the story of moving between dimensions and losing my memory, and said that for some reason I couldn’t remember my work very well.

“That’s why I came out on the weekend. Because I have to go back to work.”

“Is this temporary memory loss? This is the first time I have heard of something like this in my life.”

“Yes, this is my first experience in my life.”

This is my first time experiencing something like dimensional travel.

“Have you ever looked at a recruitment site?”

“I thought it would be better to just go to work and learn a new job. Actually, I didn’t think much about it.”

“Hmm… It’s a big problem. Mr. Inho is the best player on the team. How should I work with the people I don’t have enough people for?”

“If you say that, I don’t know how to react.”

“Why? It’s true that it’s not enough. If I had to talk about the ratio, I did 40, Inho did 55, and other people did the remaining 5.”

Well, you should have distributed it better a long time ago.

“Why is the distribution of work…”

“That’s right… Inho took care of everything. You don’t think I gave you 55, do you? Other people left it to Inho as they pleased, and Inho accepted it as a good thing.”

    “You knew everything, right?”

“I didn’t get it by criticizing the team leader… How on earth do I look in Inho’s eyes?”

My sister is rich and pretty.

She opened her eyes, but still did not unclasp her hands.

“I didn’t get involved because I thought it was Inho’s will. Of course… I can’t deny that I also had my own selfish interests.”

She swallowed once and spoke again.

“Also, we got used to working together. If I leave it to someone else, I just feel anxious.”

“Oh, I think I know what that is.”

“Inho, is that the same too? I think our working styles are similar.”

The anxious face from earlier disappeared and a smile bloomed on her face.

We talked about trivial things, and I felt that two hours of talking about small things was really short.

When we left the cafe, we were holding a bunch of iced Americanos.

She accepted my suggestion that we buy her coffee as a way to make amends since I had been a bit harsh this morning.

Rather than accepting it… it was more of a unilateral persuasion on my part.

She looked like she didn’t like it, but she bought coffee anyway.

“Inho, what are you doing this weekend?”

“Today is Monday. I still have plans for the weekend…”

“Then, would you like to come to work if I don’t have anything? Because I have to get used to work.”

A boss who naturally encourages you to work on weekends.

I look at her because she’s pretty.

“Yes. If anything happens, I’ll let you know.”

“Yes. I’ll pick you up in front of your house.”

Perhaps because the promise had come true, Mina looked satisfied.

Anyway, this woman… She’s obsessed, but she can’t make any progress.

“Would you like to watch a movie after work this weekend?”

Let’s say it as if it were thrown in casually. She looked up at me in surprise.

    “A movie? With Mr. Inho?”

“Not if you don’t like it.”

“You never said you didn’t like it, right?

Her ears are red as she runs forward.

A Monday afternoon in early summer, with a mix of warm air and hot heat.

As she was running down the sidewalk lined with cedar trees, she turned to me and said as if making a declaration.

“I will prepare everything. Mr. Inho, just come for your body.”

Wow… such a boss. Isn’t it really the best?
