by fnovelpiaIt was Minho.
In a huge shock, Mira muttered to herself, trying to deny it.
At her voice, Minho seemed to wake up, slowly opening his eyes. As soon as he saw Mira’s great distress, the sleepiness vanished from his face, and he urgently called out.
Suddenly having her name called, Mira screamed and covered her exposed upper body with the blanket. Then, she glared at Minho with eyes like she was looking at a beast and asked.
Minho called Mira’s name to try and calm her trembling, but it was only counterproductive.
By the time she finished speaking, Mira’s face was deathly pale, completely drained of color. She was looking at Minho as if begging him to answer quickly, but Minho couldn’t easily open his mouth.
Mira asked again, unsettled by his uneasy demeanor.
Mira desperately wanted to believe that nothing had happened when she slept with Minho. She had to. The only person she had ever given herself to was Yunyoung, her lover.
Moreover, Minho was Yunyoung’s best friend, her lover.
If something had happened with Minho, it would be a betrayal of Yunyoung, something she absolutely couldn’t bear. Mira asked the silent Minho again. She was truly heartbreaking.
Mira was even shedding tears, but Minho kept his mouth tightly shut, his head bowed like a sinner.
Mira couldn’t bear the anger.
Mira said, tears streaming down her face.
A moment later, Minho began to speak heavily.
Mira couldn’t understand what on earth Minho was talking about. Minho slowly raised his head, looking Mira straight in the eyes, which he had avoided until now, and said.
Minho spoke as if he were being wronged. At his words, Mira shouted in disbelief.
When Minho even brought up the dead Yunyoung, Mira felt nauseous.
She absolutely could not believe Minho’s words.
She had seduced him first? That couldn’t be.
Because she still loved Yunyoung and had never forgotten him, not for a single day. There was no way someone like her would ever give herself to another man.
Furthermore, she had not the slightest romantic interest in Minho. The idea that she would seduce such a Minho first was nonsensical.
Mira was aghast at Minho’s words.
Far from backing down, he spoke as if she had seduced him first, and her good impression of Minho, which she had held until now, completely shattered.
Upon hearing those words, tears welled up in Mira’s eyes.
At her appearance, Minho felt his words had been harsh, but he also thought he should use this opportunity to make Mira shake off her longing for Yunyoung.
He couldn’t let her continue to dwell on a dead person indefinitely. Yunyoung in heaven would wish for that too.
However, Mira didn’t want to hear it. She bowed her head, hugged her shoulders, and trembled.
Hearing such words from Minho, whom she had trusted, felt like a betrayal. Did that mean all his previous comforts hadn’t been sincere either…?
It was already a huge shock to have been with Minho, Yunyoung’s friend, but now that he brought up the reality of Yunyoung’s death here, it crossed the line of what Mira could bear.
In Mira’s mind, the events of that time resurfaced.
The truck hurtling towards her, and Yunyoung throwing himself forward.
And standing frozen, watching. Yunyoung’s final moments, bleeding and dying.
Mira’s expression turned blank, as if the tears she’d shed just moments ago were a lie. Tear tracks remained, but she was no longer crying.
Uncontrollable emotions had finally overloaded, and Mira’s mind had snapped.
Minho thought Mira would surely get angry because he had said such harsh words.
However, Minho was already out of Mira’s mind. She stumbled out of bed and began to pick up her underwear and clothes, one by one, from where they lay scattered on the floor.
During this process, her body, which had been covered by the blanket until then, was fully exposed, yet she showed no sign of embarrassment.
Minho, on the other hand, quickly averted his gaze, as if he had no intention of sneaking a peek at her.
Mira struggled even to put on her clothes. Because of the excessive alcohol she had drunk yesterday, she couldn’t do anything properly. She lifted one leg to put on her panties, lost her balance, and fell.
Mira felt something trickling down between her thighs. She touched it to check and found it was a white, slightly viscous liquid.
The moment she realized what it was, something surged up from within her.
Unable to suppress the sensation rising from her esophagus, Mira vomited right there.
With her knees on the floor, she bent at the waist and continued to vomit. Pasty orange vomit spread across the floor.
A horrified Minho quickly rushed to Mira and patted her back.
She seemed to have thrown up everything inside, as she soon quieted, but Mira lost consciousness and collapsed. Her face and hair were completely covered in vomit.
Minho found it difficult to touch Mira’s soiled body. But steeling himself to get dirty, he lifted Mira, whose head was buried in the vomit, and laid her down properly. After that, he tried to wake Mira by shaking her shoulder.
But no matter how much he called out, Mira didn’t respond. Before it was too late, Minho found his cell phone and called the ambulance.

Minho sat waiting in the hospital emergency room waiting area. It wasn’t a large general hospital, but a medium-sized one, with one or two found in each district. Perhaps because of that, the waiting room wasn’t very crowded and was spacious.
After how long, a nurse came out from inside, holding a chart, and scanning the paper she held, said.
Minho said, raising his hand. The nurse glanced at Minho, then went back into the emergency room, saying.
Immediately after Mira collapsed, Minho urgently called an ambulance and took her to the emergency room.
He was bothered by the harsh words he had said to Mira at the motel that morning. Regret that he shouldn’t have done that washed over him, but it was already spilled water [an idiom meaning it’s too late to change what has happened].
He never imagined that Mira would lose consciousness. If he had known that, he wouldn’t have said such harsh things.
More than anything, he was uncomfortable with having said that Mira had seduced him first. Although it wasn’t a lie he made up and was, in fact, true, it was something he shouldn’t have said if he cared for her.
He had, unknowingly, blurted it out in such a way to push the responsibility for the incident onto Mira. However, Minho also felt wronged.
If a woman, emitting a soft scent, hugged him and even kissed him first right next to him, how many men would be able to come to their senses and shake her off in that situation?
It was a pathetic excuse, but Minho thought he couldn’t help it. He had only taken her to the motel to let her sleep, and he had not the slightest intention of doing anything indecent.
It was true that he had felt aroused when he carried Mira on his back. As his hands naturally touched her buttocks and thighs during that process, he felt an unusual sensation. But he tried to shake off such desires, even for Yunyoung’s sake. Because if he had any conscience, he couldn’t harbor strange feelings for his dead friend’s girlfriend.
Minho entered, thinking of the excuses he would make to Mira.
