Yesterday, I gave a brief peck on the cheek to the brother who worked hard.
The school uniform… I thought I should wash it and wear it again later.
“Uh… Is it morning?”
“Of course, it’s morning~”
I made a simple sandwich for breakfast and brought it over.
I gently woke up the brother who was still lying down, placing it by his head.
“Huh?”
“Sigh… Haa….”
He hugged my waist tightly and took a deep breath.
His face nestled against my chest, our breaths mingling together.
The brother seemed less reserved now.
He looked cute like a baby.
He was like a baby yesterday too.
“How about… this?”
“Good.”
“They say the cherry blossoms are blooming today. Shall we go?”
“Yeah, let’s go.”
The brother, seemingly awake, eats the sandwich while resting his head on the bed.
“I’ll get ready first, okay?”
After giving him a kiss on the cheek, I went into the bathroom.
Perhaps it’s a well-established fact that women take a long time.
There’s so much to do.
Even though I’m learning, it feels like the list keeps growing.
Trying to become prettier, seeking ways to receive compliments from my brother like being cute or pretty by casually touching my hair or rolling up my bangs can set various moods.
Learning women’s things is not as easy as moving from studying algebra to learning quadratic equations and then cubic equations.
Apart from applying some makeup and giving my hair waves, everything else seems too advanced to learn.
Waves are just my simple curiosity, but they are noticeable at a glance, which is nice.
And there’s volume…? It exists.
I’m not sure what volume means, but it looks beautiful to me anyway.
“Phew….”
I finished washing up quickly and came out.
It’s too soon to take a bath since I sweated and showered a few hours ago.
I need to prepare lunch.
Makeup… later.
Doing makeup and cooking? That’s a bit much.
Cosmetics get mixed into food.
And I’m usually quicker with makeup than the average woman.
I don’t have to worry about it.
Another advanced stage is added here.
Trying to figure out what to do to make my pale face prettier feels like touching a professional artist’s painting.
I still have a lot to learn, yet people find my face cute.
“I don’t know, I don’t know.”
“…?”
“Hehe.”
I’ve moved beyond basic makeup, but it’s not like I’ve achieved miraculous growth.
I dress a bit better and can handle my hair better… that’s about it?
Hmm. I think my makeup skills might be slightly below that of a high school student.
“Do you like Inari sushi?”
“Yes, I do.”
With many distractions, lunch menu ideas come to mind.
Inari sushi must be a staple in lunch menus.
Sometimes, nothing tastes as good as Inari sushi.
While it may not have raw fish or roe like traditional sushi, some people prefer Inari sushi even if they dislike fish sushi.
And sausage… I’ll pass. I’ll substitute it with tonkatsu.
Even though it’s frozen, its thickness provides a satisfying texture and crispiness.
“That was good.”
I packed the food in a heat-insulated pack I used before for lunch.
After preparing the food, I washed up and started doing my makeup.
The earlier quick cat-like face wash was just to remove any eye boogers.
I wore a blouse blending pink and white, exuding a spring vibe, paired with a white mini skirt.
Actually, tight jeans would look nice, but considering Oppa’s taste…
So, I put on stockings.
“Ta-da. How do I look?”
“You’re the most beautiful in the world. Like an angel. I want to hug you.”
“Hehe, shall we go now? Are you all set?”
“Yes, yes. I’m all ready.”
Having changed clothes, Oppa showed me the car keys and a picnic mat.
“Great. Let’s go!”
With cherry blossoms blooming and crowds gathering, we set off at a time just before lunch.
*
“Wow… Oppa, take a picture!”
As I lifted my head, pink petals fluttered in the wind against a cloudless blue sky.
In a rare sight with no one in the background, we posed.
Having grown accustomed, the perfect pose for this outfit naturally came to me as we took photos.
“Oppa, you too! Take a picture!”
“Oh~”
My laid-back Oppa slowly approached me.
My excited expression almost resembled a father’s smile.
“Petal fell on your head, Oppa.”
“Really?”
Trying to brush the petal off his head, Oppa inadvertently pushed it further in.
“Come here.”
Unaccustomed, I helped remove the petals from Oppa’s hair.
The leaves nestled in his tousled hair fell to the ground.
“I don’t think I’ll be good at this.”
“Oh. Do I have them in my hair too?”
“Yes. I’ll do it.”
Now the other way around.
Oppa, understanding my cue, ran his fingers through my hair.
Cherry blossom petals falling softly slightly obscured our view.
It felt like someone was playing a prank on me.
“Hm?”
“It’s done.”
Oppa kissed my forehead, saying it’s done.
“Oh, I put on makeup….”
Thinking his lips might taste like cosmetics, I wiped his lips with a tissue.
“Oops… I’ll be careful. But you’re pretty even without makeup.”
“Uh… So should I go out with my bare face?”
“Yes. Still beautiful.”
There’s not much of a difference… but as a girl, you should at least wear some makeup.
It’s my weapon.
My honest heart continued to beat rapidly as I leaned against Oppa.
“My legs must be sore. Let’s spread the mat.”
Feeling the brisk wind, we laid out the mat under the cherry blossom tree.
Ensuring no pebbles flew around, sitting down, I felt the softness of the grass.
“Ahh… so nice…”
Leaves had sprouted on the awkward tree.
Shivering from the cold, I shed my thick coat, embracing the fresh weather.
Time… has passed by a lot.
Folding my fingers, I reminisced about past memories.
The ending autumn, the cold winter with snow piled up, the refreshing spring always heralding new beginnings.
Drawing lines in the blue sky, the airplane flying far away looked free.
All worries blurred and disappeared.
Riding the wind, riding the cherry blossom petals.
“I must come back here again someday. Next time, I’ll invite everyone I know.”
Dad, Ji Hyuk Oppa.
Soo Hyun Unnie, Su Ah Unnie.
Na Ye Unnie, Hye Jin… Unnie.
I hope we can all gather together and enjoy these cherry blossoms.
Gathering to see the cherry blossoms, with Hye Jin Unnie taking pictures.
Creating such happy moments would be wonderful.
“Yes. Let’s do that.”
Oppa held my hand in agreement.
Everything that led me here, setting goals, even deciding to get married, it’s all because of Oppa.
“Thank you.”
“Huh? For what?”
For everything.
Truly.
“Why are you thankful?”
Snuggling close to avoid the wind, I felt his warmth.
A warm and pleasant fragrance emanated.
*
“How are you feeling now, Oppa? Are you okay?”
“Uh… I think I ate a bit too much.”
“Making a little more than necessary seemed like a good idea, but what if I can’t finish it all?”
Ate lunch on the mat.
Although he offered to feed me with an “Ah~,” I felt a bit embarrassed, so I stopped him later.
People gathered around.
I wondered if I had caught some sort of celebrity disease because I could feel their gazes, but there was actually someone who recognized me.
Rather than giving an autograph… they quickly took a picture and hurriedly tidied up the mat, put it in the car, then came back.
Meanwhile, my brother worked hard to empty the lunchbox, and eventually, this situation arose.
“Sigh…”
“Should I pat your belly?”
Just as they say a mother’s hands are gentle, wouldn’t a girlfriend’s hands be considered gentle too?
“Since we’re walking… if we keep walking, it’ll get better.”
I’d rather not be patted while walking.
We can do that later in the car.
“Silly. Why did you overdo it?”
I said it’s okay to stop eating.
The problem is that my brother insisted he was fine and kept eating.
“It was delicious. And… I didn’t want to leave any.”
“Uh… If you say that, I can’t get mad.”
“Smiling suits you best, why get angry.”
I lost the strength to get angry.
Too kind to a fault.
I have no choice but to forgive.
Even though I was wrong, I can’t point out the mistake.
I may have an upset stomach, but how can I say anything when he ate everything because he didn’t want to leave the food I made?
“…I’ll make it just right next time.”
My brother quietly nodded.
Indeed, it was too much.
“Huh!?”
While lost in thought for a moment, a strong wind blew.
My skirt was rising.
Instinctively grabbing the hem of the skirt, but the wind was fast.
“Whoa… surprised.”
What was faster than the wind was my brother.
As he gently put down the edge of my skirt that I barely managed to grab, I couldn’t help but smile at his subtle smile.
“What was that just now! If you react like this in a game, it would be a fatal escape, right?”
“Since it’s nothing good to show to others… well.”
My brother was humble but still smiling proudly.
“Mm-hmm. Okay. I’ll show you plenty later.”
“Sure. There are people around.”
Glancing around, I noticed some people looking at us with a ‘What did I just hear?’ expression.
“Oh….”
“Should we run away?”
Decided to tone down the racy jokes outside.
